And again, "quack?" Yes, I also like spouting insults that no one has said since the 70s. I also find it quite funny that this location had no reviews, but then a negative one gets posted and less than a month later a glowing one comes out of nowhere and bashes me. Seems like quite a strange coincidence. GET HELP. This place is right down the road from my house, it takes maybe 3 minutes to get there if even. And it's within walking distance from my job, so if i wanted to mail something during my break I could. But I would still rather take the trip to Moriches. No, it's not an everyday task going to the post office, but much like Greek Bites, the treatment I've received makes me want to avoid giving these people money as much as possible. The elderly customers like to strike up conversations with the two WOMEN, NOT girls, there, who make no effort to stop it. Maybe if the place were empty, but when it's a late Friday afternoon and there are three or more agrivated looking people who just got off work waiting to be helped, that's really unprofessional and rude. And when I'm trying to very quickly mail off a package to my grandmother in Florida, being mindful to the group behind me, I don't need to be schooled in front of a crowd about why they think saying "happy holidays" is dumb to them. Stop the hissy fit, get over yourself and come to peace with the fact that you can't get let it ruin your day that people celebrate different holidays. We can't all be the same, Susan. Calm down. You're in customer service and are embarrassing yourself. And besides the customer "service," my family has had several experiences of packages getting lost, each time when mailed from here. HMMM. I can't speak for everyone of course, but we haven't had these complications at the post office in Moriches. Just saying. So hate me for this or don't, I don't care. I kindly asked the miserable employee with a puss on his face if he could put some tape on the bottom of my package to secure it and he replied "we are a no tape office " .....ummm what the f$@k??? He proceeds to tell me I can purchase packaging tape but he just sold the last one . Again WTF??!!!! He then rolls his eyes at me walks away and comes back with a big roll of packaging tape and secures my package. Now was that so hard? Why he had to make a production out of it was beyond me. I have been going to this Post Office for years and have come in contact with some nice and not so nice employees but he was the worst. Also, I have NEVER had an issue with a simple little thing called TAPE at a post office. And whatever happened to "how can I help you" when greeting a customer and when you are done with your transaction how about "have a nice day" . Apparently those words don't exist in miserable employee #20 vocabulary. I will not return to this Post Office again . Why go somewhere when you KNOW you are going to get treated like crap. It's a shame because the building itself it quite charming and one of the older Post Office buildings that you really don't see around here anymore.

I stop by once a week and see each clerk on duty always answer even the most simple and bizarre requests that some people come in with. I'd recommend this location all day! Just be sure to go in early rather than later in the day, otherwise you might be waiting due to so many people in Bellport. Also, check online for resources.

I called first and spoke with Amelia. she was so helpful, kind and professional. I asked if there was someone who can help me bring everything in when I arrived and she said definitely! Dave was extremely busy handling a lot of other customers but made time to help me bring in the hefty bags that were full. It was a lot!! But I had to go to Shirley, so thought, "I'll just go to the UPS store there." Huge mistake. There were two rods in two boxes. He said that they had to be in one box, and it would be $20 for a box. I laughed in his face and declined. He shrugged and said that then they couldn't take it. I departed. Found a box at home, and dropped it off at a UPS store in the city. At least they weren't as rude as the awful man in Shirley. I now understand why people will pay $5 a box in East Moriches to NOT go to Shirley. Hint: it's not the distance. It's that guy. Unpleasant. 0/10 do not recommend. There is a Kohl's RIGHT THERE, but it wasn't given as an option on Amazon. Ugh.
