Stopped by today to see if they had a package for me. Younger guy in front goes to the back and says it's not there. Says to go to another post office. I asked if he could confirm it was at the other location, he replied with "it's not here". Didn't want to punch in the tracking info in the computer he was standing in front of and instead told me to look it up on my phone. Zero customer service. I don't know if it's just this guy but if others that work at this location are similar, I agree with the other comments about lazy workers. read more

Really I would give them a negative star if that was an option! They lost our package, would not answer my calls-one couldn't even get through the phone line! And when we went to the post office in person with our tracking number, they asked for my phone number to "call you back after checking with carrier", and 4 days and 2 visits later we still don't have an answer where the lost package was!! I placed a Change of Address with the La Verne PO in December of 2016, to become effective 12/25/2016. As of today, 01/29/2017 I still have NOT received any of my mail! I called the Post Office last week and was told that my mail was probably sitting in my mail box, really?!?! I asked why my mail would even have been delivered when I completed the Change of Address. Their reply, "Your Mail Carrier probably didn't read the Change of Address." I am furious!! I cannot even register my new car in my new state because I don't have any plates or Vehicle Registration to provide to my new DMV. What a Dumpster Fire!!! read more

If I could give this place a ZERO I would. They deliver my mail to my apartment mail box. I had one instance where someone stole mail and did not return it until I filed a police report. I have tried to place a hold on mail two separate times when I went on vacation and the mail man delivered mail anyways. This time the SHOVED mail into the tiny box including 2 packages causing them to rip. Then he shoved my mail with my new driver's license causing it to bend and be unusable. This is the WORST post office I have ever dealt with and when I call to speak to a supervisor, she calls me a liar and ignores me. I have filed multiple complaints with the USPS, but nothing has changed. If you can avoid using this post office, do at all costs! read more

I went last month to renew my two son's passport. I had bad feeling regarding the Asian lady that was helping us. She was not properly trained and was in a hurry to fill out my forms. Now I receive a Letter from U.S Department of State that they are missing document and I will not receive my passport on time for our Vacation in July. I will never come back to La Verne Post Office. CAUTION - make sure you watch the customer service people handle your item as it goes to the back, especially if it is fragile. I've seen, first-hand, that as the customer turned around to leave, after telling the lady at the counter that her item was fragile, she over-hand shot it (like a basketball) into the mail bin. It was only the CRASH and shock on the people's faces in line that signaled to the customer to turn back around. Too late! I have, in the last few months, had three fragile items get broken. Who knows if it was during shipping, or if it happened before it even left the store. Needless to say, I'm an angry customer -- and for the service I've gotten, these postage prices are WAY too high. The passport service at this location is fantastic! We made an online appointment for three of us, had to reschedule due to a change in our schedule, and had no problem doing so. Judy processed our passports, was timely, friendly, and knowledgeable. We even had our passports pictures taken on site. It made what can be a rather miserable experience super easy, quick, and low key. Highly, highly recommend! read more

Went there to apply for my passport. The Postmasterr, an Asian woman, was very rude to me and asked me to wait in the corner till she is done with her postal customers. Are passport customers inferior to postal customers? Then why in the first place did USPS become a authorised passport agency? Signs are everywhere in the store advertising US Passport services. I waited about half an hour before she came to me. Showed her my application. She said my photo is not acceptable. So I produced another one. She asked when that was taken. Told her 3 months ago. She said, not acceptable, must be taken within one month. OMG! When did USPS dictate and change the regulations set out by the Dept of State! The US Dept of State clearly says that passport photos have to be taken within 6 months of application. I got fed up, packed up and left. Went over to City Hall and got it all done in 15 minutes without a hitch. USPS corporate has also got a piece of my wrath from today. Hope they do something about her. read more

I've visited this particular post office 3 times during 2 months and the staff was extremely nice. The same employee helped me each time and remembered me immediately on my 2nd visit. On the third time he instantly remembered even the country to which my postcards usually go to. read more

For the most part...I haven't had the best experiences here. Some of the staff have been very rude in the past but they are slowly turning things around. I hope it stays that way because what I've experienced very recently is the way it needs to be. The staff is kind and courteous and being very helpful which is nothing that I remember them being from before. Other than the staff, it's a big place. They have many PO boxes which is great and the set up seems to be fine. read more

On the 10th at 7:42 am I mailed a package with tracking from Rancho to Claremont. I didn't know Claremont mail was processed at the LaVern PO., anyway my package was to be delivered on the 9/11 as stated on my receipt. The package was not delivered so I checked on line using my tracking number. Online it stated the package was out for delivery on the 11th but, it didn't show that it ever got delivered. Next on 9/12 I called the La Vern Post Office and was told all of the following things, delivery date is an estimate, we don't have a regular driver on that route, we will need to investigate and find out who the driver was, we will call you back. On 9/13 the person who the package was sent to went to the La Vern Po and was told that the package was delivered but not scanned and that they would call her after 10am. Now I'm getting very upset and I call La Vern again, this time they told me they still needed to investigate who the driver was, really you had 2 days to find out who the driver was and talk to him and you still don't know! WTH!!! I am out 15 hours of work and I now have $140.00 worth of hand made beads missing because you don't know who the driver was and in 24 hours you still couldn't figure it out. I have a perfect solution, how about you give me 15 hours of your pay and we can call it even. Works for me, because you make way more per hour than I do. read more

Have had to deal with a lot of post offices since I used to ship a lot for business. THIS has been the BEST post office I have ever had the pleasure of coming in contact with. I had a PO box here and the area was always secure and clean. All other post offices should take a que from these people. read more

Let me start off with saying parking is very easy in this location with easy in and out. Now when I got to this post office I always go here to use the self serve machine to purchase stamps. I like the self serve machine because there is never really any wait for it, and if there is most people are very quick when using it. At the counter the have multiple postal agents working to assist in your other needs, I've only had to use them once and when I did they where very helpful and friendly. They offer passport service and P.O. box services! read more

No good people skills here. josh truillo was very rude, giving attitude to a customer who was confused on the mailing rates. I have nothing but positive feedback regarding the professional and personable service I receive at this US Post Office. I am impressed with the employees who go out of their way to help customers from mailing a simple letter to sending boxes to our military. Do these people ever answer the phone? They lost my package but said they delivered it. The general 800 number you will never get through on. Their local number does not even have a business greeting - like it is someone's personal answering machine. And they never answer. You call a few time and all of a sudden the line is busy because they took it off the hook. Take your business to UPS or FedEx! These people here are extremely lazy and could care less about customer service. read more

This post office has misdelivered and lost so many things that it isn't funny. They have lost my work license and now my prescription just to name a few. And its not until you are upset do they apologize. Per supervisor my complaint falls under he said she said, so sorry nothing I can do but ask carrier's side. Hooray that's helpful. Bet you they will retaliate even more good thing I use them very minimally. Well customer service at this post office was not the problem but loosing my mail is. They said it is was lost at the Santa Ana facility or as they told me it never left there. I opened a claim but never heard from them and had to call them for status. Still no email response until they finally called back and apologized, big deal. I am not sure if they are hiring the proper people anymore but who knows all companies are trying cut cost. Well I mailed my documents again after paying for a duplicate copy and taking time off from work. I used Fed x this time and had no problems having my mailed delivered. I learned a good lesson! read more

The service from the La Verne Post Office is deplorable. Each week we get other people's mail, and if we hadn't gone to electronic delivery I'm sure our mail would land somewhere else. Today was the third time in 4 weeks that the La Verne USPS delivered a parcel that was supposed to be delivered to our residence but was delivered to a different residence. Apparently the standards are so low that delivery people cannot read numbers. read more

*pukes in mailbox* I've never written a yelp review but a particular employee's dramatic/negative attitude rubbed off on me a little.. I personally have never had a problem here, but every time I come in there's this one employee who always has something negative to say about a customer. For example, today there was a woman who was upset about someone else picking up her mail, who obviously was not authorized to do so, and was complaining about how they never even ID her when she picks up her own, and it's their fault someone ran off with her mail. She was there for a while talking to what looked like a manager, and when she finally left, this one particular employee said (loud enough for everyone to hear) "gosh that woman was a nightmare" as if it were her fault they gave someone else her mail. I do not know this employees name but he's the big guy with the glasses and honestly if you go in you'd know who I'm talking about within two seconds. Worst attitude. read more

My experience here was horrifying! Trying to get my sons passport renewed was impossible. Dora refused to help me even though I was first in line. She took a few people before me then told the supervisor, who informed her that I was next that she would not help me. So Dora was not only rude to me but was insubordinate to her supervisor. A formal complaint has been filed. What happened to customer service? I think some public servants need to be reminded of why they have a job...to serve the public. read more
