I went to pick up a letter and saw a long line, so I asked a younger Asian lady working at the counter if there was a separate line to pick up mail. She told me to get back in line. Waited close to an hour and was almost at the counter when 2 guys walked in to pick up mail and the same lady I spoke to quickly got their mail for them. Staff are actually helpful and kind and don't seem to hate their jobs, what a pleasant difference from the usual! Worst Service Ever!!! When trying to retrieve my mothers mail being an authorized person on the account, they refused to go and collect my mothers mail for me. They required my 76 year old mother to bring me the key so they wouldn't be inconvenienced to have to walk over to the mail box and hand it to me. I was told this was a FORMALITY. They lied to me that this was the rule when I've had to do the same thing on previous occasions at the other Irvine post office. Then the other front desk employees also lied to me that all the other supervisors were home for the day when I tried to complain about this. The supervisor Lynn could do better!!! read more

This post office came new about a year or two ago an it's still brand new. The people who work there are very friendly and help you out as much as possible. You can send your passport, send express mails, or priority mails like other post offices. I think this post office is pretty big than the other ones. You can buy stamps and send mails easily. I placed a hold on my mail last week and requested carrier to deliver held mail when service resumed. Carrier delivered the mail for the day of resumption but none of the 'held' mail. I went to post office hoping my mail would be there or they could somehow find it and spoke to someone who said the supervisor, Barbara, would call me but she never did. The next day I called and spoke to someone who I believed was named Elvia (but not sure) who told me the carrier said he delivered all held mail. She also said that the replacement carrier spoke to me but he never did. I wanted to ask if there was any way she could find out if the carrier had any idea where he may have delivered the mail to but never got the chance. In a very rude tone of voice, she said there was no way to track missing mail since they don't have a tracking code and hung up on me. I tried calling back but they obviously recognized my phone number and would not pick up. I wish there was a way to have my mail routed though a different post office. read more

Always bad customer service. I always get the same woman that never tried to help me. She said that if I see the driver I have a better chance and getting my package. The notification settings are way off because they said that they were coming soon they delivered an hour earlier than what the actual company notifications gave me which is why I miss them and I didn't even ask for signature required they're saying that it was too big for the mailbox which makes no sense since it's literally two shirts. I even have a parcel locker at my property so I'm I don't understand if it was that stressful to leave it at my door they could have left it at the parcel locker. read more

I've always had a good experience coming to this post office for my mailing needs and my packages have always been delivered and never lost. Due to the storm that hit Texas, it pretty much put all mail at a standstill and I had sent out a package on a Sunday, with the tracking link not updating with a location until 5 days later. I called the number on Yelp and was fortunate enough to speak with Tom who was really helpful and although he wasn't able to locate my package, he called me every day in an attempt to locate it which I appreciated. The employees are super nice but the important thing is that when I drop labeled parcels it's missing a lot. Especially for big box parcels almost 10% are missing. Even though I drop the parcel perfectly, always shipping status is stop on creating label which means they didn't even scan it. Please aware that for valuable parcels never drop the parcel on the basket. read more

I agree with Dennis. Not only is this place immaculate, but the service here is awesome. These people are so friendly and so helpful and a mail worker is a little bit of a stressful position. They have helped me save money on my packaging, have offered me tape, to tape sturdier packages. They really take care of their customers. The biggest secret is that most people must not know that this place exists. It's rarely crowded. I mean they may have a few people waiting with numbers, but have you been over to San Canyon or the Tustin ones??? No lines here. Just a little big of milling around by some pleasant people. read more

Staff are friendly! Never a long wait. Parking is always available a few steps away from the door. They have a drive by box so you don't even have to leave your car to drop of mail. The 24 hour lobby is very convenient! They have an APC machine that eliminates having to wait online. Bottom line, if you wan personal service and quickly, stop by here! read more

In the past, post office staff -- in general -- seemed to lack personality; however, the staff here is friendly and efficient. In recent visits, someone has been visible to offer assistance and answer questions in their lobby; he's approachable, knowledgeable, and exudes energy -- extremely appreciated, as I don't always remember what to do, since I don't visit the post office regularly. Even for sending a package, it can take at least 15 min or so because 1. Either there are 700 ppl right in front of you at the queue or 2. The courier helper always take so long to try and talk with you. Therefore, it wasn't very pleasant to wait wait and wait while there. Moreover, the cost of mails can also be quite pricy. I have been to this post office a few times, and the staff has not been overly friendly in the past. I went yesterday - to mail out two APO AE military packages. Being so close to the holidays, I expected mass chaos. They were very organized.... they no longer use the numbers system so they had everyone in a line, and if you were not ready, you were asked to get out of line until you were, which was awesome. I really like this post office! It's clean and the staff are so helpful. I had a great experience with an Asian staff member who helped me with my PO Box. She went above and beyond in helping me to make sure I got the same box as I had before and I really appreciate it. Several years ago, I had been helped by another employee who was rude and unhelpful for my PO Box and I don't think she works there anymore. The team that works there now is great!! read more

Nothing sucks more than having a package saying "delivered" and it is at some other house on another street! I tried to call several times for days at the other post office but no one picked up! The Northwood Office was the first one to pick up and help me! Let me just say that Tom went above and beyond for a misplaced package by the other post office! Tom kept me up to date and tried for a few days to get answers for me from the other post office. Once he realized he wasn't getting anywhere, he drove to retrieve the missed placed package and deliver it to the right address! Seriously, want to thank you for everything you did for the last few days and for helping me in every way! I seriously can't thank you enough for going out of your way and finding the package yourself. If you ever have any issue get Tom, he will help and make sure to find any package! If I could give negative five stars I would. I received the worst, most appalling customer service ever from a black young woman named Diamond. WATCH OUT FOR DIAMOND. She was rude, condescending, and extremely unhelpful. I have never called out an employee like that, but I want to prevent her from ruining anyone else's day. I'm used to stressed out post office clerks, or clerks that don't seem too unenthusiastic about their job. That's fine. I don't need enthusiasm; I just need to get my mail posted. Diamond brought bad customer service to a whole new level. I brought two little padded envelopes to be mailed. One was domestic, one international. I got up to the counter and was helped by another lady; she said I needed a customs form for the international letter and gave it to me. So I got out of line and filled out the customs form. I then returned to the line - the previous lady was helping another so I had to be "helped" by Diamond. Diamond took one look at my package and form, sighed, and said, "You'll need a bigger envelope." I was confused. I've mailed the exact same packages before and never had an issue. I asked why. "The customs form is too big. It won't fit with all the labels and stamps." I asked if there was a smaller customs form. She pouted and said "No." The whole time she was huffing and rolling her eyes. I said I've mailed the exact same thing before and never had an issue. She said just get a bigger envelope, it'll cost the same to ship. I told her I didn't have a larger envelope and didn't want to buy another one. Diamond sighed very loudly, made a dramatic three-second pause, then stared over to her co-worker (the lady who was helping me earlier) and asked if she thought she would be able to fit everything on the package. Her co-worker said yes she would and proceeded to show her how to do it. Her co-worker told Diamond to "Make it work, girl." IT GETS BETTER. So Diamond sighed again and announced to the whole post office, "She's making me struggle. I don't like struggling." Yep. She announced that I was making her life difficult, and she didn't like it. I was speechless. I've never been treated so rudely in my entire life. I just kept quiet because I didn't want to make a scene. Inside I was fuming. She proceeded to make a big show about trying to fit the customs form and labels on the package. She took five seconds to peel the backing off the customs form sleeve. The entire time she was pouting. Then she took her own sweet time to key in the customs form information sloooowly, key by key, as if she was intent on making me wait. I thought about asking for a supervisor, but again, I didn't want to make a scene. My sister then pointed out that the package was going to cost $13.20 to mail. Wait, what? I mailed the exact package to the UK just a week ago for $2.19. That's quite a huge difference, if you ask me. I asked her about the price, and she said that was it for international packages. She said it was a package, not a letter, and all packages were $13 and up. She then turned around to confirm this with her co-worker. OK. It is a FACT that I mailed the exact same package at another USPS office for only $2.19. I had it, so I asked for the package back and said I will post it at another office. She then tried to defend herself and said she was only trying to do the right thing, but I was done. I asked for it back again. Did she give it back to me? No. She made me stand there stupidly as she tried to peel the labels off sloowly. I said I'll peel them off myself, and she said "No I got it." Finally I get it back and pay for my domestic package. Then I was out of there, shaking from anger. I don't understand why she's still employed when she has such terrible attitude (see other reviews about her from February and June 2017). I will visit other post offices in a heartbeat just to avoid this terrible employee. Let me state that this is the first time I'm giving such a negative review. I usually love leaving positive reviews to promote local businesses. If you're wondering if you should come to this post office, DON'T. And if you absolutely have to, at all costs, avoid this girl named Diamond. read more

Going to the post office is never a fun experience. No matter which branch you visit, they're busy and for the most part, the clerks are not particularly friendly and patience is not something they have. I'm sure it's partly because it's stressful to have to shuffle through so many people in a day. This seems to be one of the better branches. Worst mail service I've ever received in my 26 years of life. They regularly lose my packages and then deliver them damaged beyond repair. I then have to get another package sent out. Additionally, today they delivered 1/2 of my order and marked the other half as unable to deliver because I wasn't home, which is total BULLSHIT. I tried to reschedule the delivery online but their date picker WON'T LET ME SELECT A DATE TO SUBMIT THE FORM. I then tried to contact them via email but conveniently that option has been down for AN ENTIRE YEAR ON THEIR WEBSITE. Now I cannot get in contact with someone until Tuesday as monday is a holiday AND they've officially set my physical therapy plan back a WEEK by failing to deliver this package. If your delivery guys are too fucking lazy to grab a package from their truck they need to find a different job, and you NEED to fix your online forms to make it even remotely POSSIBLE for someone to fucking contact you with a problem. Also there's not even a fucking answering machine on Sundays to take messages. The phone line literally just hangs up on you. If had ANY WAY to avoid using USPS for life, I fucking would at this point. read more

So I just moved to Irvine last month and now this particular post office services my new address. Now the people who work at the post office are great and friendly but my main pet peeve is the hr at this particular location. On the weekdays the place closes at 4:30pm so for most people who work a standard 9 to 5, you usually cant get to the post office in time. On Saturday the place is only open for 3 hrs from 10am to 1pm so once again, limited hrs. Now i realize that most services can be done online or at the self serve machine but since the mail boxes at my new house were not set up yet, I had to go phyically pick up my mail at the post office. Firstly, yes this place is clean, and looks super nice, etc. Just like every other post office, it's hit or miss. Some of the people working here are downright rude, and others are very pleasant. I rent a PO BOX here and I'm starting to wonder if something sketchy is going on here. I have had several clients tell me they sent checks, and have them never show up in my mailbox. I want to know where my mail is going. A few times, I've had mail half open, mail taped shut, dirty mail, mail sent back to the sender even though they had the correct address on it. Last week, I had someone else's package in my mailbox, with a COMPLETELY different PO Box number on it. I have sent large amounts of invoices out from this post office, only to have them never reach their destination, causing a huge headache for me, and causing me to have to drive to two different post offices. The service here is decent, albeit slow. But this is a government-run outfit, so the slowness is expected. My gripe is with how they are handling mail that has insufficient postage. Nearly once a month I get some notice on my door, or in my mailbox, that a letter or package was sent to me with insufficient postage. Most of the time, it's only short about 6 cents. 6 CENTS?!? Seriously? I have to get in my car, waste half a gallon of gas, wait in lie for 10 minutes, pay 6 cents and then drive home. This has never happened to me anywhere but Irvine. Are they re-weighting all the mail that comes through them to be delivered? That seems like a really shitty way to squeeze out some extra revenue. read more

When I say service they say meh...service...meh; ok, they actually do labelled passport service, but appointment required. And when I asked them what is the earliest appointment time, they informed me in 3 weeks. And was asked to check other Irvine locations. this location is hidding in a neighborhood area next to the freeway and was unable to serve me when I already got all the document needed to submit myself. I ended up visit our local and get things done right away within 10 min. Not my cup of tea...meh to return for service. read more

This post office is unlike any other post offices. We had to pick up a package from this post office. And the person responsible for pickups was Ted. The way he looked and us almost seemed like he wanted to kill us. He had the worse attitude one can imagine. Yelling/ Belittling/ and would not talk to us directly and referred us to their manager for some reason. The manager was as mean as Ted, did not even let us talk, and whenever we want to even say anything during his long lecture of I don't even know what, he would say "LET ME TALK".... No idea what is wrong with those two people, best advice is to go to the other 3 Irvine post offices. read more
