I have been going to this post office since it opened decades ago. That's why I have more check ins on Yelp on here than anyone else. Service has always been excellent.. And I have had a PO Box here for almost 40 years. Only complaint. Poorly maintained exterior. Trash is often a mess. And landscaping is usually a total disaster. Gets cleaned up about once every other year.

If I could give ZERO stars to this worthless post office I would. NO ONE who works there has any customer service skills. They seem to all hate their jobs. On my first visit the lady labeled my priority mail box incorrectly. The second visit, an even more inept and rude woman over charged me by $80+. The second over charged package was never received by my daughter at college, even though the first package made it there just fine, once the correct label was created. The second package was returned to me in horrible condition. See photo. Fragile was written all over the box, but disregarded as you can see by the photo. When I brought this package to the post office, to receive a refund, per instructions on the usps website, I was met with no apology for the condition the package was in, as well as a "Nope, you can only get a refund online". She scribbled the website down on paper and that was it. She could have cared less. For anyone reading this review, take your packages to UPS. I paid half the price and was VERY well taken care of by the employees who love their jobs and the customers.

Lobby is not 24 hours.

SOOO friendly! Very refreshing since USPS employees kind of have a bad wrap of not being friendly. THEY ARE HERE! :-)

They never answer their phone. A useless office, tape on their outside mail drop boxes was cut off, mail lost forever.

I recently had to track my lost package with US postal service at 1 League, Irvine location.

The clerks are doing what they can to keep the line open, asking mini services they can preform if there is a hold up with their current client. I have to say too that the public needs to be mindful of the people around them and should conduct all of their finished packaging and mail writing before entering the line... or at the very least before the service desk. If we all work together, we can make the service a lot faster and happier for everyone. Thank you.

She didn't even stop and see if she caused any damages. She sped away. The parking lot has a lot of dead angles where people who shouldn't be driving come and go. Ahhh the beauty of Irvine shines through here quite brightly. It's not so much because of the poor service rendered by the actual postal workers that makes this location so terrible. It's the behaviors of the customers that causes a lot of delays and frustration. I am still experiencing secondhand embarrassment days later. Some are not the most prepared with their stuff before their turn. Like not having the address needed to send the package. As always, there's always someone who tries to haggle, complain about the prices, or try to get the whole transaction redone to switch to a cheaper no frills option. It's honestly astonishing to me how little concerns those expensive car driving people have for others once inside. Very low class and one of many reasons why I absolutely abhor Irvine area anything. Talking loudly on the phone and failing to realize it's their turn for example. Or trying to cut in line even though there's a long line of people. My goodness. I am just gonna stick with my neighborhood postal office. The amount of stress incurred by coming here is not worth it.

For the notary, they were careful and detail-oriented. When it came to my baby's passport photo, they initially suggested taking the photo at home since it can be easier for babies. However, when I arrived, they were more than willing to try taking the photo there--and my baby did just fine. The photo was printed within about ten minutes and it cost $18.31 for two copies of 2x2. This price is reasonable compared to other places. The staff member who helped us was very kind and patient with both me and my baby. I also noticed they assist with TSA PreCheck processing, which is super convenient. The location is clean, the staff are helpful, and I highly recommend Postal Annex for notary services, passports, and shipping needs.

I had heard that PostalAnnex specialized in multiple sizes passport and visa photos (Postal Annex came recommended to me for Chinese Visas - you can even pay them to fill out and submit the application for you! But I opted to do it myself but I still needed the photo). I called just to make sure and they told me they indeed do passport and visa photos (including for China) and when I asked if I needed to make an appointment - they said "no you can just show up anytime during opening hours but it's good to come at least 15 minutes before closing because the whole process takes about 15 minutes) When I showed up there was plenty of parking (it is located on the intersection of Culver and Irvine Center Drive in the main shopping center across from the McDonalds. There was also a sign on the window advertising that they do photos and the Chinese Visas so that was a good sign. The man who took my photo was very nice and knowledgeable - I liked that he seemed very experienced and had done a ton of these before. I also liked how he showed me my photo to make sure I liked it for final approval before he just printed it. You give them your email address for the digital copy and then you also get 2 printed photos for $24.99 which came to about $26 after tax. I just waited in the store (they have 3 chairs you can wait in and have a fridge with drinks to purchase too - or you can walk around the center while you wait). The woman Amrit who works there was also very reassuring and friendly and super helpful as was the man (whose name I didn't get). I chose this location because the other Postal Annex has received some negative Yelp reviews for unfriendly service but at this location (15333 Culver Dr) the service was OUTSTANDING and I will be coming here for all my future passport and visa photo needs! (They also do mailing, have mailboxes, etc.)

Since it's the distribution center, they're open MUCH later than the typical post office. Their full service hours are Mon-Fri 7a-7p, Sat 8:30a-3p! I've always had great service here even when I was running in from the parking lot hoping to make it through the doors before they locked them. Even one time, although the door was locked, and the gentleman was standing there, he allowed me to pass him my stamped mail so it could go out that day. Like I said, the service has always been great here! I also love this location because they have self service machines inside the building and the doors are open 24/7. Tonight, even the general nighttime manager saw me at the machine and dropped died to chat. He was so sweet and friendly. The clerks here are always great too. Never had an issue by the way the postcard stamps are $.61 each. How I miss those days when they were $.15 each lol I guess the value is still good if you consider everything else has been inflated. I still highly recommend this USPS location for all your mailing needs..

There were maybe 5 people ahead of me. I was able to be in and out in about 30 minutes. Around 2:25 PM, people were crowding inside. One booth was partially reserved only for passports. I decided to come here since most locations are either closed on Saturdays or have very reduced hours. I even visited a tiny USPS in Whittier recently that felt super deserted. The downsides are the fact that it is stinky inside (old people funk), and the person behind me got so close as if she was trying to cut the line. But glad I found this place, as it was pretty much the only option for me, due to the availability of hours. My COA was pending and got denied. The employee let me get back in line 3 times, however. I had to fill out a form in person, since the online application was timed out. Hopefully, the system sorts my mail correctly, since the e-mail they sent was extremely insightful. Employees are very kind, and apologized to customers for the wait. They also have ratings for service. FYI: It seems they are also out of tape today. Also, it was really confusing to exit the parking lot since I think they're only three ways to go out and I believe two lead you through residential alleyways.

However I have used this location to ship packages for friends and family and did encounter some issues. Staff is inconsistent. Some are friendly and some aren't. When I ask what is the cheapest and fast way to ship a package I get mixed information. Sometime one staff will tell me something and then another staff will come over and tell me something else. I rarely send packages but when I do I struggle with getting the right information. I can see a lot of people use this location as there's piles of packages waiting to be sent out as well as a long line of people coming here. There's a large parking area in the front as they date the same parking at Albertsons so that's good.

I've actually been going here so often that the workers recognize me and picking up a package is a seamless process since they (now) know me by name. Customer service has been great, I haven't encountered anyone that wasn't friendly here. At times there could be a long line but it normally moves fast as the staff works quickly and efficiently. The store is fairly small so it does feel a little cramped sometimes. Parking close by can sometimes be a pain due to the neighboring businesses, but shouldn't be an issue if you're not carrying too much. This place has been perfect for my needs, and hopefully it is for you as well!
