The friendly and knowledgeable clerk helped me today. He was very patient and explained everything in detail like the cost, the delivery expectation, process and etc . I came in specifically for Service Requested and certified mail with signature confirmation to send an important document. Value wise it was about $7 so it was affordable. They were kind of busy and it was only one person who was doing everything. What a crazy experience. Arrive 20 minutes before closing five people in line. I have a box that's not fully taped up and a QR code to return the box. All they had to do was take one of their tape rolls and throw a piece of tape across the top and said I was directed to a kiosk to buy tape for five dollars no big deal while I was purchasing the tape she closes the doors locks them with about 10 people inside and closes the blinds that cover the doors. I finish paying and she says the box is not taped up securely and proceeds to use half the roll I just bought. I said I have my tracking number. They can lose the contents for all I care. Once the box is all taped up, I go to leave as as well as another customer and the blinds are closed and the doors are locked to the only exit out of this building and she proceeds to say I will be right with you. Why are the doors locked? I have to buy tape and I'm being told that I did not tape up the box correctly. Oh well the kiosks to do self service returns are not working. Absolutely abysmal experience go absolutely anywhere else, but here. I was mind blown to find that the doors were locked to the only exit of this building!!!! a visit that should take three minutes took 30 minutes to complete. read more

Yes, people are right when they say that there are long lines and not enough workers - that is the state of the US Postal system, not the fault of the NB team. The five stars here are for the manager Anastasia and the assistant manager (I don't know her name - medium brown curly hair). They both work so so so hard to keep this place running and to elevate the customer experience in every way they can. They work the terminals themselves, hurrying between the back sorting area, the passport area, holiday mail, express mail bins, and everything else, sometimes while being berated stingingly by disgruntled customers. They deserve five stars for all they do to service NB customers! Thank you to the Camelback leadership! read more

I was in the camelback post office to mail something to China. I needed assistance with the label and the clerk named Anastasia was extremely rude to me. She didn't want to help me and her voice was mean and elevated. She kept dismissing me and saying just follow the labels instructions but the info I had was in a mixed order and I was having difficulty making out what was a city or a region and really needed the assistance in this case. I was wearing a camo hat that said "Gods Favorite". She yelled out to me "God doesn't love you!" I asked for her manager to report this behavior as this is completey inappropriate! She left me with my heart pounding and shaking from the entire experience. I don't believe any government employee should be speaking to a post office customer in this manner. I believe our tax dollars ensure that all government agencies are there for US citizens. Am I wrong? . I went in today (a week later) and this employee "Anastasia " was still there. Rude as ever! This post office is awful!! I'm considering legal action since nothing was done. Someone needs to investigate the service at this location immediately! I thought Yelp said this post office was open until 7:30pm but it was definitely closed up when I got there this afternoon. Another customer came right behind me and said they read those same hours. However, it was my lucky day because they had a self-service kiosk in the lobby and they had Christmas stamps! $18 for 30 forever stamps, perfect. This is the worst post office I've been to in all of America. I've been going there for years, and unfortunately, the experience is consistently terrible. Everyone is rude, from the manager down to the employees. Today was particularly bad - I had to wait 15 minutes for someone to show up at the front desk. These is a lot of trash on the ground at this location. The employees were not very friendly either the day I visited, more transactional. I was dropping off a prepaid package, as well as mailing one for work, and the employee scanned my prepaid package on the same receipt - so make sure you advise them if you need separate receipts. Beware of criminal activity taking place at this post office branch. Last August I mailed a letter with a check by depositiong it in a drive through box at this branch. That check was intercepted and cashed. I informed the postmaster of this incident. In October I mailed a second check by depositing it in the same drive through box at this branch. It, too, was intercepted and the check was cashed. After this second incident I was informed that this USPS branch was aware for several years of this criminal activity taking place. The postmasted had no response when asked why the public was not informed of this criminal activity so letters could be mailed inside rather than be deposited in the drive throug mailbox. Last Friday I personally mailed inside at this branch a small package in a USPS box, delivered today in Carlsbad. Upon receipt the recepient noticed that after mailing, this box had been opened, the contents removed, and then this box taped externally (there was no external tape when mailed). Again the postmaster refused to recognize that criminal activity was perhaps taking place at this USPS branch, but did acknowledge that it had to be a USPS employee had that opened the box and removed the contents. With three incidents occurring at this branch within 9 months, it is apparent that people in charge at this USPS branch have little regard either for security or alerting customers about criminal activity, and with these three incidents occurring, one can't help but wonder if someone inside is involved. This post office is severely understaffed. Nobody answers the phone, it goes straight to a voice mail which cannot take messages. Hold time on the USPS 800 number is 1 hour and 15 minutes. The AI receptionist on the 800 number does not understand English very well and will hang up on you before you get someone to help. If one thought recent news regarding customer experience @ CA DMV or TSA was bad, this one makes the other 2 feel like efficient finely tuned operations. Why does the USPS service exist any longer? We should shut them down and save tax dollars and stop subsidizing junk ad mailers. An attempt this pm to mail a registered letter to the US State Dept for passports was terminated by Moe the lobby supervisor after (no exaggeration) 45 mins. Reminded me why I haven't been in a USPS for years and to never go back personally. To start, Sally at the counter could not answer the simple question, in English nor her native tongue of Vietnamese, after 5- attempts to rephrase the question so she can get the point of the question, which is what is the difference between a certified vs. a registered letter. Fortunately a blonde colleague of Sally overheard the conversation and was able to tell me in 10 seconds that the difference is that a registered letter is under lock & key @ the PO. At this time I was the only other customer in the PO. Then after stepping away to fill out the forms I went back to the counter where Moe came over and told the lady at RJ counter that he would help me and asked me to step down to a closed counter at the other end. After many excruciating minutes of his attempt to answer simple questions I understood how certain services work. One of which is you can't combine a registered mail with an Express service. No logical reason why it can't be done, but hey it is the USPS. Them Moe asked me to come back to the other end of the counter and told me he would process the package and to wait, while he stepped away and started helping a Caucasian man in line with that person's packet. In the meanwhile 2-3 others now in-line were processed through by others at the counter. So I asked if he's going to help me or do I have to get back in line. Moe's reply was because I asked him questions, which was already done, i needed to wait while he stepped away to help the Caucasian man. Huh? I suppose Moe hasn't adapted to the speed of business in the US vs his native country somewhere in likely India. After many more excruciating minutes of Moe going through step to tell me the cost for the package as a registered mail and insurance, which is only possible after he weighed the packet. I told him to forget insurance. Then he said I needed to declare the packet's value as a register item, to which is said $500. At which point the credit card payment device showed itemized costs, which looked like there may have been a charge for the declared value. So to answer that question Moe couldn't simply say no, he demanded to know what a new value would be to show me that there is no charge for it. So we started over with a one dollar value. So I said fine use $500. Then he proceeded to painstakingly slowly cut 3 pieces of paper tape, then wet them and applied it to the sealed packet that is theirs to begin with! Then he punched in the services to which the costs are itemized in the credit card panel and proceeded to insist reading each service & its cost to me line by line. I told him he didn't need to do that as my 94 year old father has been sitting outside in the car under the hot sun the last 45 mins. To which he said I had not advised him of it before now, but who would have thought it would take this long! Still he continued to read the remaining services and their costs. I thought at least this torture was coming to en end. While Moe was preparing to put a sticker on the envelope, I took a photo of the credit card panel and the front of my packet. Moe went ballistic and threw the packet back at me and said he was not going to process it and it is illegal to take photos of one's own mail and therefore he was going to call the police. I took my packet and told him he is an A..hole and left. Well per the attached information from the web, it is NOT necessary illegal to take pictures inside the USPS, not your own packet labels. The photos I took are also attached. Clearly Moe knows as much about this prohibition as he does about the speed of business in the USA. Perhaps just as well as I was clearly getting a sense that my packet would somehow get lost in their system, regardless of it being registered. Will have my office mail it as usual. read more

This review is for the retail service INSIDE the post office, as it seems a lot of the bad reviews for this place is due to mail delivery - which I'm sure this location is a hub of some sort considering it's size. What's surprising is that due to the location of this post office, despite the fact that I've lived in the area for a few years now, I didn't even know it existed until I did a search on the USPS site for a place to ship out my packages. Looking back, most other post offices I've gone to have always been located on a busy street. As far as retail service, I stopped by here on the last day you could ship Priority Mail and get your package to your destination by Christmas... as imagined, it was packed inside - at least 20 or so people in front of me - but the wait was pleasant. The long line gave me some time to admire how much nicer the interior was here than other post offices I've been to, where the line is inside a awkwardly cramped lobby, or in space that isn't "decorated". The lobby here at least had a well stocked self-service mailing area - for forms, labels and the priority mail/express mail boxes, as well as a decently stocked rack of greeting cards, mailers and even boxed cards. What really stood out was how polite and efficient the employees were. On what's probably among the busiest shipping days of the year, this location utilized all service windows by staffing every one of them, which made the line move a lot faster than one would suspect. There was even a separate line for people who weren't shipping anything, but needed other services like mail pickup or a supervisor. My total wait time was no more than about 15 minutes from the time I walked in and got in line, to getting up to the counter and being helped by Paul. If you don't want to wait in line, they have a self-service kiosk here as well. Parking is a breeze, and the layout is great - one-way - which makes it easier to navigate, as well as get in and get out. There is a separate lane for dropping off letter mail, so helps keep congestion down. read more

This is so disappointing the lack of customer service or even minimum concern for people at this post office. One staff member is right out rude and condescending towards customers. This is my third time coming back to reserve an issue and walked out empty handed and not resolution. I take time off from my work to to come during business hours and it is frustrating. I've been coming to this location for almost 25 years. This location always has a line, particularly in the afternoon. They have 3 self-service kiosks now but most of the patrons end up just waiting in line because the kiosks can be a bit confusing to maneuver. They're not as intuitive since they aren't equipped to answer questions/handle all your postal needs. Priority mail self-serve boxing is also not as well stocked as the Irvine Campus location. The FedEx/UPS Drop-Off wasn't open last I went. I ended up having to go to a local Mail Boxes & More to ship out non-USPS packages. They have their own parking lot but enter/exit is one way. It isn't a hassle since there isn't much traffic around this part of Bison. The bright side is that the attendants are very helpful once you get to speak to them. Tell them what you want and aside from trying to sell you some stamps, they are very attentive and give you their honest assessment of the best way to mail your stuff. I would have spent twice the amount of money if the nice lady had not advised me to use a different tracking method. Sometimes good customer service is very helpful in making someone like me want to come back despite the wait. read more

Normally I dread the post office and avoid it at all cost. I would even prefer to pay more than twice as much just to mail packages from ups or FedEx. However, I recently found out that if you are strategic with which US post office you choose to visit you will be pleasantly surprised. When I arrived there was plenty of parking. Which again, is rare at other post offices. I went inside and there were 3 employees helping 3 customers but no one in line. So I grabbed my packaging folder and waited. Within 5 minutes or so one of the employees was ready for me! Moe was my postal worker and he was amazing. Super friendly and informative. He explained everything to me and in the end helped me spend only 5 bucks to package and ship my item. After another 5 minutes I was done! Great experience. Will definitely be coming here for any other mail service needs. Even the customers were friendly and knew what they were doing. I'm sure if there was a line it would have moved fast! read more

I am a paying customer for a PO Box for 37+ years at 92661. It is incumbent upon the USPS to provide access to customer postal boxes 24Hours a day. The 92661 Postal Station is now using the excuse of some vandalism inside to prevent daily access to customers beyond 1600 Hours until 0900Hours, and 44 hours of the weekend. Customers' 24/7 access to their USPS mailbox need to be reinstated immediately. read more

This is one legit post office. There's a lot of self-service here for those don't have too many questions to ask at the counter. Also, the line moves quite quickly. Plus, their selection of card is quite expansive for a post office! So far I like it :) Parking can look small, but people move in and our fairly quickly so it shouldn't be a big problem. read more

They never deliver packages to the door, instead send a massage "no access to the delivery address" when our door is wide open during our business hours with the camera at the door. We have several recorded videos of the days we didn't get our packages delivered.
