The Holyoke post office holds my mail against me. My payment was not due until today. And all month long they would lock my mail box. So I had no choice but to stand in line for an hour or more just so they would unlock it. I ordered a new card from my bank due to theft. And it was not until two months later they put all five cards that I had to continue to ask to be reordered in my box the same exact day....there's no way each card was ordered a week or two apart from one another and all got there the same day... They sent my mail to my new address instead of holding it like they should have. And I have been waiting on a paycheck for an exact month; my employer said the checks already went out. The first check for this employer was the mail that got sent to my apartment instead of held at my P.O. Box and this second check is no where to be found. This place has behaved so sketchy for a place that was suppose to keep my mail safe from being stolen. read more

US Post Office - This is me. - Post Offices Near Me - Holyoke, Massachusetts

This USPS Post Office on 50 Holyoke Street in the Holyoke Mall has the most God awful customer service I have ever encountered. I arrived at the post office at 6:43 pm on April 17th, 2018. As you probably know, this was the deadline for mailing taxes. When I arrived, there was a ridiculously long line. I would say maybe 20 people or so. Most were there because of taxes, however myself and a few others were there to simply mail packages. Since I had already had car issues in the several days prior to this, I had to delay shipping my customers' orders until that day. When I walked into the post office I stood at the back of the line. Everything was moving unbelievably slow due to the amount of people yes, but also because of a certain employee who is extremely slow. I don't know his name at the moment but if you have been to this post office at this location I'm sure you know who I'm talking about. Honestly I don't even know how he has kept his job for so long. He literally moves at the pace of a tortoise. Anyway, when it finally got to be the turn of the lady in front of me, the obnoxious female worker who was there at the time (I don't know her name either but she's the one with the very long brown hair and glasses, skinny, maybe early 20's) told her and the remaining 7 people that they refuse to serve anyone else since it was now after 7:00 pm. At this time it was maybe 7:05, 7:10 at the latest. With only a handful of people left, most of whom only had envelopes to mail or buy stamps for, you would think they would serve us, especially considering we were all in the store well before 7:00 pm. And might I add, if it weren't for Mortimer Tortoise going slow as molasses, I guarantee everyone would have been out of there before 7:00. At this time, the lady in front of me left, so it was me and the remaining few people behind me. The male worker looked at me as if he expected me to follow her but instead I protested. I told him there are only a few people left, to please serve us, and that it would only take a few minutes. He refused and the female worker chimed in and told us to get out as well. Others protested as well and were told to leave also. They wouldn't budge for anything. I have never been treated so rudely at a business and I have not been back there since, nor do I plan to in the future. Even besides that day, the employees are usually very rude and act like you are bothering them by being there. It's just awkward and uncomfortable. I am a regular customer at the Holyoke Mall Post Office. Love their convenient, extended hours, so helpful when my local branch is closed, and it's great to have the opportunity to ship 7 days a week. Over the 5 years I have used this office, I have found staff to be efficient and helpful, as well as patient and kind--I have witnessed staff helping inexperienced shippers find a box to fit their items, and /or save costs with a better box option from their storage. It can be busy at times during peak hours and seasons, but things move along well and calmly here. Thank you to the workers for your great service. read more

I have motor problems and I have decided I wil never mail a package at ups I thought I did a ok job taping but the guy kept berating me on how bad it was. I was trying to mail Easter stuff for a family in need. I know it was messy but I tried my best and I am tired of dealing with this. I think I will stick to amazon for now. read more

Horrible experience. I have had a self-sustaining online business that has been fruitful for a couple years, so I often use pre-paid labels but was pushed away during one particular experience. Passive aggressive lady at the drop off station relegated to playing the victim when I asked to file a complaint, for a grave mistake she had made- see, this was only after she had not only failed to address the mistake that she verified she had made, but would not admit to but also in refusing to take my complaint. Even in doing that, I was re-directed to the WRONG office of the Supervisor, who had not worked in that station for ~20-25 years so that was another error on part of another worker. Kathy did not take any responsibility for not only her mistake, but denied serving me overall and walked off flailing her arms. Generally, Kathy has been very rude to customers for years so I am not surprised by the other review. Bad day? Maybe. But that is never an excuse to take it out on your customers who have a genuine concern. It just makes it much worse to project your inadequacy onto customers, too. I was patient but she made an active choice not to serve me multiple times. No idea what was going on there but let me tell you, willful ignorance and selective interpretation only add to one's frustrations. Crumbling failure on her part but the US Post Office company itself is great, responsible and attentive overall. read more

I had a difficult time getting adequate service at this Holyoke Mall branch of the USPS in Holyoke, Massachusetts on Saturday, 4/27/13. I was there at around 4:30 pm. A customer was processing a passport application with the clerk at the main desk. Fine - however, the clerk did not acknowledge me, just completely ignored me the entire time. I was the only other customer waiting for service. There was a female clerk nearby who was at the other desk. I waited patiently for her to call me over. At one point, I thought that I heard her, and said calmly, facing her from the line, 'Excuse me, did you call?" She ignored me and apparently had not called me over. Within a few minutes, she was power walking to the back office and disappeared. 20 MINUTES PLUS LATER, she emerges again. At this point, I was almost splayed out on the floor from exhaustion! The passport customer is still actively in process with the other clerk. FINALLY, one of the clerks said, very quietly, after another wait of 5 minutes, "I can help you over here." No apology for my long wait and no friendliness whatsoever. I asked her, 'Do you have children-themed stamps?" This was the reason why I went to this branch (and I will admit, it's conveniently open on Sundays). She took the card from me, which was in a large blue envelope with purple stars on it - I hoped that it might help her to understand what I was looking for - and SHE STAMPS IT WITH A WHITE LABEL REGULAR OLD POSTAGE STICKER! I said, "WAIT, I was trying to buy the children's-themed stamp for that card!" "OH?" She says, completely surprised. Pretty disappointing and I have avoided this branch ever since. {I am re-posting this review because I got an e-mail from Yelp! now, 3 years later, that they removed my content "as it looks like it was meant for a different Post Office location."
