The Holyoke post office holds my mail against me. My payment was not due until today. And all month…read morelong they would lock my mail box. So I had no choice but to stand in line for an hour or more just so they would unlock it. I ordered a new card from my bank due to theft. And it was not until two months later they put all five cards that I had to continue to ask to be reordered in my box the same exact day....there's no way each card was ordered a week or two apart from one another and all got there the same day... They sent my mail to my new address instead of holding it like they should have. And I have been waiting on a paycheck for an exact month; my employer said the checks already went out. The first check for this employer was the mail that got sent to my apartment instead of held at my P.O. Box and this second check is no where to be found. This place has behaved so sketchy for a place that was suppose to keep my mail safe from being stolen.

It is difficult to understand how a package can arrive at the facility in the morning and still be processing more than 24 hours later. Could this happen occasionally? Certainly. However, it should not be the standard operating experience. Unfortunately, the Springfield USPS Distribution Center is one of the primary reasons I rely on Amazon for many of my purchases. The repeated delays and lack of efficiency have significantly diminished my confidence in the postal service.

Rural delivers (the ones in the trucks) get a determined number of hours to deliver (up to 9). If…read morethey get done earlier, they still get paid the allotted time. This results in lost and mis-delivered mail - because they want to get done early. Postmaster does not care - he is just looking forward to retirement. Customer is stuck tracking mail with neighbors or having it resent by sender - which could take months.
