They took advantage of not just me- other people too. I saw one around the corner from our house early in the morning taking my son to a Cub Scout event. I saw one just a few hundred feet further down that street while commuting to work. I saw one across the street, standing on its rear legs and peering into my neighbors bedroom window. I saw one as we drove to Stop and Shop and saw another one as we headed to a hiking trail. And yes, we've seen them on our property. They loved to knock over our trash can and drag the garbage bags across the lawn, leaving a rather unpleasant clean-up chore the next morning. Once, they salvaged a full bag of Airheads we had thrown away and feasted on them. Bears have gotten into our trash three times -- -but it won't happen any more. Because today, we had our bear proof trash can delivered. It has a locking gizmo on the top that won't open when it gets knocked down, unlike the simple hinged lids on convention trash barrels. It has an instruction panel on the lid, right next to a cool logo of a bear's head. For the last few years we kept our old trash can in the garage where it not only smelled but made it awkward to walk from the cars and the entrance, or vice versa. Now we can leave the trash barrel outside under God's blue sky, where it belongs, and not have to worry about picking up scattered trash and torn garbage from those nocturnal visitors. BTW, Paine's has been our waste removal vendor since we moved here, and we've always been happy with their service.

Maybe being me thinking I make payments all the time in advance but maybe it was just a delay in the holiday so I called and I'm like hey they didn't pick up my trash. Where the woman pretty arrogantly tells me that it's because I owe them $30 for my advanced trash payment towards October. I mean, let's be honest if I needed a refund right now and I canceled my service. You owe me $70 You had the audacity to not pick up this weeks trash for this particular week on a holiday week over $30. When I've been an outstanding customer for the whole time, I've been a customer I'm always making payments. I never leave a lagging bill. Not ever on purpose. I'm always raving about the service until today. I pay an extra amount of money for a bear can.
