Perhaps the worst post office in America. The lines are long and slow (to be expected at any location, I realize), but the horrendous service is unmatched at any other location in which I've had the pleasure of residing. The workers at the counter carry on conversations with each other and barely acknowledge the customers. They are lazy and rude: one woman checked her cellphone for a full minute before looking up, sighing, giving a slight eye roll and calling out a half-hearted "Next!" Several times this location has lost packages while they were supposed to be holding my mail. Each time I filed a report and nothing was ever done. Twice I've lost money as the item could not be replaced by the seller once the post office took possession (post office claims it never had the packages, both companies tracked their packages as far as this particular post office branch). As a final insult, the mail carriers dispatched from this branch (from which I, ironically, live only 3 blocks) consistently lie about delivering packages. On numerous occasions I've tracked a package online and been told it was delivered. No package arrives until several days later, so these lazy mail carriers are flat out lying about doing their one job. Several times these packages have contained medication and the post master couldn't care less about the dishonest and disgusting way the employees "work". All in all, a sad and pathetic American institution that wallows in its own inefficiency, ignorance, and hopefully impending obsolescence. read more
