Post offices are usually a bit of a hassle but every time I have been here the staff is friendly and service are prompt. It's always nice and clean . I had a package mishap once and they were able to answer my questions promptly and locate my package within a day. Definitely a post office worth going to. read more

Love this post office branch. What I don't love is that the apartment building across the street uses the post office parking lot as their own for overnight parking. They have plenty of their own parking. I was there during the snow storm and I go every morning to post office to pick up mail. The people from across the street left their car and truck in the handicapped parking spaces! The white truck is parked in the parking lot every morning! I almost fell trying to get around these cars to use the ramp as it was very icy! Someone needs to get ticketed for parking there! The post office lobby for picking up mail never closes so these people should be ticketed for parking on private property and hindering those that need the handicap spaces! read more

Service over Christmas was terrible! Mailed box of gifts on December 15th; paid $80 to send from NC to Ct. Tracking was useless since it seemed to be stuck in the city from which I mailed it for 3 days. Did not arrive at destination until December 26th! 10 days! Not the type of service I paid for. This is in regard to MAIL DELIVERY ONLY FROM PARK PLACE. NOT CUSTOMER SERVICE. The We have a small slot for mail delivery and if something is bendable, this person will stuff it in the slot which makes it nearly impossible to remove. I have been living at this location for 13 years and for the first 10 years we had a fantastic delivery person, Wayne. If there were packages, he left them at the door along with the mail secured with an elastic. This person also leaves the packages at the door if they don't fit in the slot but normally stuffs whatever is possible. However, three times in the last couple of months, on a Saturday, some unreliable person leaves packages at the mailbox to be viewed by everyone driving into our complex as well as driving by our home. To make it worse, no notice of packages left at the mailbox. And did I not mention that he/she drives around in a little truck. It's not like whoever has to walk 500 steps. I've received notices from companies that a delivery has been made: not at my home. So it's always a hassle trying to straighten this mess. Now, saying that, the customer service at the post office on Park Place is 5 stars! Edwin, Chris, Kathy and anyone else whose name I don't know, has been more than helpful and responsive to questions. Mail delivery: Nope not from Park Place. They should be ashamed. read more

I came into the branch and received wonderful customer service from Edwin the clerk. He was pleasant, professional and saved me some money by being knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to take care of me especially since I came in with my 7 year old son and he kindly gifted him a USPS activity book. Edwin's customer service makes me less hesitant to come in to the PO to handle my business. Thank you sir! read more

don't accept packages from village express in Branford. They do not accept return to sender packages.

This review is for customer service, not at the post office, but for an internet/phone complaint. I lodged a complaint on the USPO website and detailed the problem with the mail delivery. I also left a message at the post office (after it rang for like 3 min, someone finally picked up the phone, the second time I was able to ring through, the party on the other end took a message). I had a call back to my cell # and the supervisor said that the problem was noted and that they would take care of it. I am not sure which message got through, but I was glad that someone called my back within 2-3 hours of the complaint. I guess that anytime the PO responds to a complaint and fixes said complaint, that's a win. Most businesses would respond to a customer issue, without any surprise on my part.... read more

Usually very nice and competent at the PO itself but what's going on with home mail pickup? Do they not do that anymore? The last couple of times I've put mail out for pickup it's still sitting there at the end of the day along with my delivered mail ?!? read more

The staff here makes getting a passport an enjoyable experience. My wife and I recently opened a business in this town and the staff here did all they could to get the ball moving as fast as they could so that we would start receiving mail. We wil now make this our go to office for all our needs. It's worth the trip alone just to see the Matt Lauer look alike (who I must add my wife thinks is absolutely so handsome) all kidding aside ,he is very helpful and knowledgeable of the services the post office provides. read more
