We ordered a Birthday cake from Lady M in New York, and they partner with Periship. The cake was attempt to deliver to a BUSINESS address AFTER 6 on Friday! We contacted Periship, so the cake can be delivered to our home on SATURDAY. Periship called the driver, but he didn't response. It's a long weekend, so by the time we got the cake, it's already a BAD cake. We contacted lady M, but they refuse to issue any refund, even if they are the one who messed things up at the beginning. Lady M does not have a place on their website, where u can choose the address type. We contacted Periship about this issue, and Amanda helped us to order a brand new cake, with overnight shipping! So I got the cake on my birthday. The cake is wrapped nicely, and I can still see the dry ice under it!!! read more

Oh please. I don't know what Fly I. has been smoking but it must be some powerful stuff. I have been a customer of PeriShip since its inception and they have TRANSFORMED what it means to ship food. The support staff is always courteous, dedicated, and you don't have to go through any annoying telephone prompts to reach a live person. (No, I don't work for them- they're just very very good.) Shipments WILL arrive on time,as you might imagine precision is awfully important in their line of work. I wish PeriShip shipped non-perishable items too, but, then, well that would defeat the purpose. Most customer-centric company I have ever worked with. Next time I'm mailing clams halfway across the world (or anything else to my clients), you know who I'm using. The best in the business. read more

I stopped using a food delivery service last year because after several deliveries suddenly a driver decided that he/she was going to change the "no signature" requirement on the perishables from the shipper to a "signature required" order, which after speaking with the company I was told was permissible if the driver (suddenly) felt the package would not be safe if left. So basically, neither the business nor customer had any say in the matter despite complaints on both ends and without a firm delivery time it became to problematic to continue ordering. Three weeks ago when I decided to give it another try. Now, although the package is being left without issue, it is damaged in transit despite being marked "fragile" "do not stack" "glass". For the last 3 weeks each delivery has had broken containers and I have had to throw out products as they contain hard chips of clear plastic from the breakage that are too difficult to see to take a chance on eating. I didn't bother to call the company as my experience with customer service from the first incident tells me it is pointless. I will simply stop ordering food again, causing an unfortunate loss to the business who uses this company to ship through Fed Ex. These company is atrocious. read more

A Wonderful experience! I am someone who doesn't bother writing a review unless I experience outstanding service. Well that is exactly what I received while dealing with Periship in Branford, CT. I was awaiting a delivery from Alaska that was arranged through Periship, and unfortunately it was delayed. I began to panic, so I called the company. I spoke with Melissa, and she reassured me that my delivery although it was delayed, it would arrive. I was skeptical at first because she told me she would look into tracking my delivery and she would call me back shortly. Well true to her word she called me back 45 minutes later. Although at this point there was not a resolution, she told me she would continue working on it, and she did just that. She called me back 2 hours later to tell me that my delivery would arrive late but that they had worked it so I could be sure to have it the day after my original delivery date. I did receive my delivery the next day and although it was late, I was totally impressed that Melissa followed up with me that day to make sure that everything arrived. read more

Usually when you contact the wrong person due to ignorance people will all try their best to direct you to someone else that (at least to their best judgement) can better address your problem, this is definitely not the case for Periship. Once they sense that you are not their target segment, they become very impatient and try to shoo you off without offering any help to point you to the right source. I'm not in your industry, how would I know who are the players and what's each player's role in your industry? It's like I'm a visitor of City A and I wanted to find restaurant X but ran into a deli by accident, and because they are a deli and won't make money from me, they wouldn't even point out where is this restaurant X but simply wanted to kick me out of their store and like "we are only going to talk to you when you are ready to order a deli so get out of here now". read more

We were able to send several shipments of cookies to associates around the country and the folks at PeriShip handled it superbly. Even when we realized that a file was corrupted and the some of the addresses were incomplete, they were calm, cool and collective in helping us managing the situation. we only wish they could work with UPS too instead they work only with FedEx. read more

I started doing business with this company about 5 years ago because a mutual friend recommended them. He's no longer in business. At first I was convinced their service was great and a fantastic value. Boy, was I a fool! They'll sell you that their service is something special and if you're shipping perishable product you can't live without them. There's nothing they do that you can't easily do yourself or if you establish a relationship with your FedEx account manager they can't do for you. My experience with Periship is that you can get what you need from them when it's something simple and business is relatively slow but when it gets busy like the holidays you're wasting your time. I've had plenty of time to analyze my experience with them and I have to give them two thumbs down. Don't waste your time and money. You can do what they do yourself and for a lot less. read more

DO NOT USE. Mondo Foods relied on them to deliver a cheese gift to us. The cheese arrived warm and partially melted. We had received a message from them stating the shipment was delayed. Evidently they don't pay attention or just don't care about the contents of their packages. I called 844-4-5-0947. I talked with a person named Logan who said he would look into it. That was 13 days ago and we have not been contacted. I would not trust them. read more

My son sent me a perishable shipment to my business during christmas and we were not open to receive. We received a notification from the call center and thy assisted us in picking up our sue sikas holiday shipment. If not for their efforts our surprise would have spoiled. It was a seafood order from Catalina Offshore. We were thrilled with the service and so thankful we order from them. read more

This company is the worst. I know someone who personally used to work here and she had a terrible time with management. On another note, this company sucks at their service. They pray you don't call back to give you a direct answer. They do what I can do myself by either calling FedEx or tracking my own shipment. They pretend that they did you this huge favor by calling you, I cant with this company if only people knew that they were wasting there money on this service, My friend was treated horrible while working here and she deserved better. To all the managers even down to PAM who knows absolutely nothing but has to rely on everyone else to help her out . You guys need to learn how to treat your workers better, They are the ones who slave all day to make you look good. When you leave early through peak seasons and they are there left alone at night to do everything, consider them saving your asses. Well that is all read more
