Worst post office I've ever been to. Around 2 years ago it was dirty but decent but now I never want to go there again. Yes you can still drop off package provided you have your own packaging and shipping label. Their RAPID system is cracked and broken but works at the very least. They went from scarce hours (around two years ago) to straight up closed 24/7. Walked in today there was a lady who was on her phone when I opened the door + the lights were on, she gave me an attitude. Better off going anywhere else. Like another review said UPS should be ashamed of this place. They would be better off renovating the space to be anything other than what it is now. Shame. read more

This was by far the worst USPS experience I've ever had. There wasn't a single customer in the building, yet the employee completely ignored me while she stayed on her phone. She refused to properly assist me, only pointed at things without saying a word, and never even provided a receipt for my return. Now I'm still waiting for my refund with no proof of my transaction. This is completely unacceptable, unprofessional, and negligent. USPS needs to train its employees to treat customers with basic respect. Avoid this location if you value your time and your money. read more

I like this little location. Some may want that warehouse feel. Yet right in a busy area, this one is cozy and a good place to do E Commerce related business. The prices are going up. I'm going to have to re-evaluate my business, and look at UPS and FedEx. When shipping eats into your profit margins, it's only fair after all. My guess is those companies are higher cost now too. There's not a lot of parking here. Also it is extremely busy on Gallows Road. Do be cautious leaving, and my recommendation is take a right, and turn around if you need to. Also there's a traffic light that can work close by. A very nice staff here. Have found them to be professional and knowledgeable. This USPS offers all of their services too. read more

US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Dunn Loring, Virginia

This is a convenient location. It is not usually busy and is easy in and out on Gallows Road. They have two outdoor mailboxes. The counter area is small and can only accommodate two customers at a time. I print out my own postage and then take it to the post office to obtain a receipt. Packages that are scanned in at the counter are covered by insurance and qualify to for the service guarantee. Packages scanned at the kiosk are not covered by insurance or the service guarantee. On a recent afternoon I was rhe only customer. The clerk refused to scan my package and told me I had to use the kiosk. As a result. I had to drive to the Merrifield Post Offce where they promptly and cheerfully scanned in the Packages and gave me a receipt. Not sure why we need a neighborhood post office if they are going to be rude and lazy. This is one location they could close and it would never be missed. read more

12/26/19 After work I needed to drop off a Christmas gift that is obviously late, but I don't care. My family member will get it tomorrow at 12:00pm. This tiny little post office is one I don't go to offten, but it certainly proved useful today. This post office seems to be a two person station with maybe two others who are not working in the front. Today; however, there was one person maning the station when I came in. I was able to send my package for next day delivery and the delivery truck guy loaded it in his truck to take it back to the main office. If I had tried to make it to the main office, I wouldn't have made it today. I am happy this post office is still in operation. read more

Whoever owns this Post Office should be ashamed. Please put some of that rent into cleaning, painting and repairs! The USPS should be appalled that this is the face of their service. The lobby floors are disgustingly filthy and the building trim needs some loving care and a new paint job. This is a lovely, old building. If you don't anticipate to care for it, sell it to someone who will. The wonderful employees also deserve a nicer atmosphere in which to work! read more

Oh man, this place needs a major revamping. It's very old and run down. I moved to the area and this is my closest post office, so I gave it a try since my printer wasn't up and running yet. They were out of quite a few supplies. The man working up front was very grumpy and harsh. He's also very slow in processing each package and though there were only 2 people ahead of me I waited for around 15 minutes. I will definitely be printing my labels and scheduling package pickup from now on. read more

BEWARE! DROP-OFF BOX IS NOT MARKED WITH PICK-UP TIMES!!!! If you want to drop off your package on Saturday, they close the human portion of this tiny post office at Noon and THEIR LAST PICK UP AT THE DROP OFF BOX IS AT 12:30!!!! THERE IS NO SIGN ANYWHERE ABOUT PICK UP TIMES!!!! We dropped off a package with a pre-paid label in the drop off box on Saturday at 12:45 and it ended up sitting there until Monday! Tracking info was was blank, we were wondering what's going on, so I went there on Monday morning and talked with a human, who told us that after 12:30 on Saturday nothing gets picked up. But there was absolutely no way of knowing that! When we dropped it off on Saturday there were post workers walking around. HAD WE KNOWN THAT IT WOULD TAKE TWO EXTRA DAYS TO LEAVE THIS POST OFFICE WE WOULD HAVE NOT LEFT THE PACKAGE THERE!!!! NEED TO MARK PICK UP TIMES ON DROP-OFF BOX!!!!!!! read more

This post office is smaller than the one in my hometown which is less than 1/10th the size of Vienna. It smells like this really bad chemical-ly smell and has paint peeling off the walls. Minus one star. The staff in here were super nice, friendly, and funny... and probably bored. Some others have said the lines are out the door. I've never stopped by when it's been busy. They both helped me and the one other guest who came in during that time and were happy to oblige me putting stamps on a bunch of envelopes and chat with me about speed traps the cops had set up, etc. This hospitality and warmth can be hard to find in these parts, and it was appreciated. On another occasion, they told my fiance that the cheapest possible shipping on a package was the Priority Mail flat rate, when in reality it was a small, low weight package being shipped to a neighboring state that would have been cheaper to ship cheaply in a slower manner, so I have to take off a star for that. read more

Fast in an out, on a Monday at 330pm...that is awesome. Sure, a line, but four people and I cleared it in 8 minutes... I do think the drop off boxes are not good, I would suggest folks drop off at Merrifield, but if you need a return receipt and certified mail, or USPS special delivery, then this is a quick trip. I got smiles and efficient service. I do think that means....WooHoo! That is as good as it gets with USPS. read more

Probably the oldest (and smallest) post office I've ever been to in my life. The post office is so small that with a line of about 6 people, one person had to stand outside in the "lobby." Although the service was extremely slow, I liked the charm of the "small town" customer service. If I needed something quick and was in the area, I would stop by (e.g. certified mail). I have been traveling around the USA for the last 3 years and frequent the post offices often. This post office by far has the kindest tenants! Petite office with a full service counter. Usually 1-2 people in line. Excellent costumer service. Ample parking and convenient location. read more

It's small. It's messy most of the time. Limited parking. But the staff and the delivery track record makes up for a lot. They are knowledgeable, community-oriented by getting to know the frequent customers, quick when there are lines, and, simply lovely personalities. This place is like a time machine. There is a plaque on the wall referring to President Eisenhower, iirc. The peeling lead paint around the window sill is slightly disturbing. They don't always have stamped envelopes which we get all the time for work and I think they took out the self service stamp machines too. The three main employees there are very friendly though. They need to tear it down and build it bigger, the line is usually out the door. read more
