I've had a PO Box at this location since 2007. I went in yesterday, rushing from Los Angeles since they now close at 5pm. CLAUDIA is by far the worst employee I have ever dealt with. I make it in time to get my mail and pick up my packages. I have 2 yellow slips and I ring the side doorbell. I show Maria my 2 slips and she accommodates me since its a few boxes which I was thanked her for, but didn't like her remark about "Yeah you guys need to pick up your stuff, we have a bunch of your stuff back there and it just piles up", in front of a line of about 10 customers. I felt as if she was trying to embarrass me, to which I replied well if you'd keep your hours like they used to I would. Whats the point of having a PO Box if I cant pick up my stuff at my convenience. Loud mouth Claudia then starts telling me the hours have always been 9:30-5 and we start going back and forth. I tell her that I've had a PO Box here over 10 years and the hours recently changed. She tells me that its a management call and I should contact them & why should she care if if management doesn't. I ask her why does she work here if she doesn't? Customers we're shocked and some even looking at me nodding their heads. Maria put a stop to it and told her there are times when they should accommodate customers and that she does care. Claudia still kept going stating that management doesn't care and they are being over worked. As I waited on the side, an older lady was finished and I helped her carry her package to her car since she had knee surgery. She thanked me and was like "WOW Thant CLAUDIA lady is such a B!+(h!!!" stated it is always the same story at this location and how rude and unprofessional she is. I go back in and Claudia is still yapping her mouth. Rude remarks, attitude, demeanor, just a nasty nasty person. This was not my first experience with Claudia. So unprofessional. I asked Maria for the managers # and was told I'd have to go through usps website. She was able to provide me with the managers name which is VJ and that Claudia is from the "South Downey Branch". I will be contacting a manager tomorrow. 99% sure I will be canceling my PO Box and taking my business elsewhere. read more

The self service section is open 24 hours a day. I love this! You can access your mailbox anytime you want, use their scale to make sure you have adequate postage, and pick up shipping supplies whenever you need them. Most importantly. ..you can drop off mail and feel secure that it will be promptly processed as soon as possible. I kept having trouble with mail being stolen at home...and this post office, accessible 24 hours a day, was a true savior. Nothing is worse than dealing with the madness that comes with stolen mail. If you live around the area, and have had similar problems...then this is the place for you. read more

WORST POST OFFICE EVER!!!! Big hair lady is the rudest person I have ever met. She belittles customers just by their appearance. Talking down to them if they don't have their packages ready. But if she knows you, she'll stay and talk to you about non PO related things no matter the length of the line. I can't believe one of my first post would be about a post office, but I've had enough. This is the worst post office I have ever attended. It's the closest one to my house so I have no other choice when 5 o'clock rolls around. STAY AWAY!! read more

HORRIBLE customer service! I went in to simply mail out an item that was pre paid for, all I needed was a box to put it in. I grabbed a box that I always grab when mailing items out and he told me I couldn't use it. He then told me to get "one of those boxes over there." I replied by saying here?.. And he waved his hands in frustration and said no. He was too damn lazy and rude to come around the counter to help me! Instead he took the next costumer and disregarded anything else I asked. Will never come here again! I would rather drive 20 minutes to my old post office then to face this sh** hole again. read more

Small post office and understaffed BUT the employees are not to blame it's the company that needs to hear the complaints. Kudos to both workers who are doing double or triple the work that their duty calls for. All of us take a lunch BY LAW why should they not be able to? read more

I thought I was the only one who had experienced terrible customer service from this post office, but after reading other reviews I know I'm not alone. This is the closest post office to my job and I usually stop here before to drop off packages. I watch Maria as she rudely interacts with other customers and she doesn't ever seem to get up off her lazy a**! Every time I go she complains about how little I know about packaging. I'm sorry for not being a professional in packaging! However, I'm very educated in customer service and know that she's extremely unprofessional when it comes to being a government worker. She belittles everyone she comes across, unless they're her friends. She acts like she's too good for everyone there and probably drives an 1999 Hyundai Elantra (no offense to you if you drive one). She also bosses everyone around! Anyways, the last time I ever went in was a couple of weeks ago... I was trying to mail out a shirt to a customer of mine and all I needed was tape. I walked in and went to the side of the counter to ask for some and Pete yelled at me telling me that I needed to wait my turn... all I needed was tape.. why should I have to wait in line for 20 + minutes because of their slow a** service for some tape? It never fails that they make me late to work!!!! He then tells me that I have to pay for a whole packaging tape!?! I then told him that last time he gave me a piece of tape for free and that I thought it was ridiculous! He ignored me and Maria told me to wait in line like everyone else. I was fuming but kept my mouth shut & I walked out and went to the other post office on firestone. I will never go back there again! I'm fed up with their bull crap! read more

I've never felt the need to post a negative review of a place I visited, but in this case it is necessary. I also avoid going to places when they are about to close because I understand workers need to go home too. This post office closes at 5:00pm and by the time I got off of work and drove to the post office it was 5:02. I saw people still packaging their items and when I went to the counter I asked for a small priority mail box. I was told they had ran out. A lady behind the counter was assigned to help me and she said she would put my item in a paper envelope since it was small enough to fit. At first I was glad and I proceeded to tell her that I'm sorry to have come in so late. Her response was, "Yeah we have lives and people who come in late are just straight up disrespectful". Once again I apologized. I told her that I'm a new seller on posh mark and I'm still trying to understand the whole shipping process to which she said, "yeah that's what they all say." To which I said, "well I'm telling the truth." She said, "uh-huh yeah" and rolled her eyes, grabbed the item and slammed it on the scale. She then said I needed to put my item in the envelope. I was confused for a second because her tone had caught me off guard so then she raised her voice even louder and said, "PUT IT IN THE ENVELOPE". I told her I didn't appreciate her tone and she said she didn't appreciate me coming in late. I then told her that I would like my item back and that I would go to a different post office, but she shook her head and held a hand over my item that I was tying to ship. After realizing she went to far with her previous remarks and actions she proceeded to call me honey in a belittling tone and said, "well come in on time honey, so I can better assist you and so I can teach you how to ship items because this is clearly a mess". I can assure that there will be no "next time". She took my package and I just left. On my way out the greeter apologized. I didn't get the lady's name, but she wears black framed glasses, is short in stature, and has blonde hair. I don't believe my actions and persistent apologizes warranted this type of behavior. Maybe the post office should lock it's doors exactly at 5:00pm in order to prevent this from happening. I would have liked to have been sent home rather then go through this whole ordeal and get publicly mistreated and yelled at by someone who obviously hates their job or was having a bad day. read more

Against my better judgement I came into this place to mail a simple, little package. I literally live within walking distance! And once again I leave pissed off! I'm surprised this post office is still open! SERIOUSLY understaffed! Have to wait in line forever because there is just too much chit-chat with the one female employee who is at the desk. She's nice, but its inconsiderate for her to take a phone call once I finally made it to the counter! Turns her back and has a nice, long conversation. OMG I almost threw my money on the counter and walked out! AND they will literally close the counter to take their lunch break, regardless of how many people are waiting in line. Really? I realize we all need breaks when at work but whatever happened to customer service? If you can't staff this place properly its time to call it a day. I will never return and will just continue to drive across town to the one on Firestone. I'd rather stand is a fast moving long line. read more

Warning!!!! Packages will get stolen by employees!! I went in to investigate and the lady at the front said packages don't get scanned there?? False! I called customer customer service and they said ALL packages should be scanned right away whether you drop off in slot or with a clerk. read more

Every time I come here, which is often, Maria is either overwhelmingly nosy or scolding a customer. It's ridiculous. It's like she looks for opportunities to get upset. I read another customer review that says that she acts like she owns the place, and I couldn't agree more. She got mad this morning because a young man didn't package his stuff correctly, to which Maria complained that she had to help repackage the item. She publicly embarrassed him. She's always gossiping with customers, and it's just so inappropriate. She is the WORST- the most unprofessional employee I've ever witnessed. I don't understand how she hasn't been let go, considering she works so slow and has the weakest people skills ever. Pete, if you can believe it or not, is slower than Maria; but at least he doesn't pry, scold, and complain. read more

Worst post office. Outdated and only two people ringing up. The line was all the way to other side of the building and they don't address the situation. Go to the one on firestone instead. They are out dated to but they are friendly and helpful. Don't waste time coming here. First and last time. read more

Warning!!!! Packages will get stolen and/or lost by employees at this location!! I went in to investigate and the lady at the front said packages don't get scanned there?? I called customer customer service and they not done anything about this problem. I drop off 20-50 packages a month and continually get complaints that they are unable to track their package because the bar code was never read into the USPS system.. This office has the worst uncaring and unskilled employees I have ever come across. read more

Horrible service from Maria! Worst human being I've came into contact with. I don't understand how she's being employed. Absolutely mean towards her customers and extremely unprofessional. She yelled at me and kicked me out because I didn't hurry up enough when searching for the address I had to send my package too. And then she continued to yell and say she is in charge and can do what she wanted. If she is so miserable and hates giving decent customer service then she shouldn't be working in a place where you see people everyday. read more
