Only one postal worker and a line practically out the door. It took almost an hour to certify, return receipt a letter I needed to get in the mail ASAP. Others on line had the same piece of mail while Ms. Postal woman took her sweet time chatting with one of her customers for three minutes too long. I had to say something like "where are all the postal workers at" then the customer left stage right. It didn't get any better but at least it moved. It wasn't even exactly lunchtime and they definitely need more workers here to man the post and get people moving. I'll definitely never come to this location again. read more

My family and I had passport appointments last week and prior to going in, I read the reviews and was already expecting it to not go well. To my surprise, that wasn't the case. The only thing was, their camera to take the passport photos wasn't working. We were given 1 hour to go to Walgreens to take photos and come back. We were helped by Gloria. I read some complaints about her but she was totally nice and helpful. If it wasn't for the camera not working, I'd give my experience 5 stars. I was pleasantly surprised. read more

This place is the absolute worst post office you can go to. I bought a p o box for a year and none of my mail came through. After dealing with Bianca, Gloria and Clair for 4 months of not getting any mail or tax papers, they literally have re issue my address halfway through the year and even then Im getting mail from all theses people except for mine. Well at least they get my Amazon packages right? Wrong!!! I ordered several packages through Amazon to be delivered to my box and when I get there all there is is a not billing me for another year!!! I didn't even the first year. I check my app for my packages and it sez the post office sent them back. I asked what happened and they said they closed my box cuz I haven't paid. I told them about my box not working all year and told Gloria that she was the one I dealt with for most of this incident and she proceeded to explain to me that she doesn't know that Im talking about and that my box is closed. I asked why I didn't warning. She said that was your warning to which I said " You guys didn't even let me use my box all year and know your telling me you sent my daughters gifts back on top of all of this". All he had to say was "if you got something to say, go online and file a compliant". Worst customer experience I've ever felt with. With all of you complaining about Gloria on all these reviews, I don't understand how she's still employed. Go somewhere else. There's a post office on slauson that's nothing like this. Go there. And if you have any bad experience's at this post office, take a picture of these crusty lazy chicks and post em online. We need less lazy useless people working important jobs. read more

Came here on a Monday, no lines, not a busy post office. I had an absolutely frustrating experience with the Post Office's customer service. The staff were incredibly unhelpful and lacked basic customer service skills. They were rude, dismissive, and seemed completely uninterested in assisting me. It felt like they had no training on how to properly address customer concerns or even handle routine transactions. The entire process was a waste of time, and I left feeling frustratedI would strongly recommend going elsewhere--this service is far below acceptable standards. Conveniently located and my favorite location to come to. The service is usually friendly, but the lines can be a little long depending on what the people in front of you are doing/sending out. I came in at 1:30 today with appointment , 19 December. I wanted to get passports for my two daughters and I am divorced so I had to go through a whole process with my ex spouse. I had to make 4 different appointments every single time I've come here just to get my daughters passports and I always ended up getting an excuse from the employees saying I didn't have the right information, if I didn't read the paper or anything. One of the employees who is short with black hair and round gave me horrible service today including the supervisor, Sandra. Both of these ladies told me my paperwork was wrong and I had to come back again, so I went to a different post office and they told me my paperwork was fine. I don't recommend coming here only if you just want to waste your time. read more

This post office needs more staff for Passport services. I waited 55 minutes for a staff member to help me out because one was on break and the other was taking a test. There was no direction on what line to stand, signed in one lobby & walked to another & was sent back to the first lobby. Irritating! There was a sign saying passport applications accepted from 10 am - 2 pm. Got there at 10:15 & walked out at 11:10 am. If I could give zero stars I would. This evening Tuesday 11/13/18 I come home to find my package on TOP of my mail box for display for all to see! I could not believe the ignorance of this post lady to leave a package out in the open for all to see. My box could have easily been stolen!! At least have some respect and be discreet and maybe leave my box on the ground behind something on my door step. Whom ever it may concern, I am contacting you regarding a postmen(women) that delivers to one of the gated community's in pico Rivera. She is literally the rudest person I have ever met. She has a disgusting attitude, someone who works for the government and deals with the public should really have better manners. I have had problems with her various times on various occasions. We never receive or mail on time for their reason of "lack of pick up". Don't I dare leave one letter from the day before or they will put my mail on hold. Not only that, I don't receive my packages. She complains about my dog, that she can't see. Due to the fact it's behind a closed door and we don't have a front yard. I don't know what her deal is nor do I care. She needs to do her job that is a public service and that she gets paid to do. Not only this! But I never received a notice that stated my mail was going to be on hold. Or anything of that sort. Also, please have her dress appropriately. I don't believe her uniform entails her to have her blouse completely unbuttoned with a spaghetti strap and her cleavage hanging out There is only one mail man that does his job in the gated community where I live, I would highly recommend to put him on our route. read more

This post office has some really good workers. Even tho there's only 2 at a time (when i go there), they're sociable, friendly, and still quick. I've waited 10 mins before, but there was some real complicated package sending going on. Otherwise, primo! the minus one star is for the lack of a stamp machine!!! My mother lives around the corner from this post office, literally, and they still manage to drastically mess things up on a consistent level of suck. $600 purse arrived in a half open box with the dustbag pulled out of the open corner, then thrown over her fence onto the garden.. What happened to leaving packages on the doorstep? 3 packages marked " out for delivery " by the tracking number... And never delivered. Then you get to start the long ordeal of filing claims and GOD FORBID THEY EVER ANSWER THE PHONE. I was just there this morning, no one in line, I stepped outside, called, and STILL no one answered the phones. This post office is always busy and completely understaffed. The employees do their best but they're obviously burned out and it shows by their hasty and rude demeanor. Prompting me to write this review is their passport process. The hours state from 10-230p, but they have a sign-in sheet and once that sheet is full they don't take any more passport customers. I found out because I was standing for about 20 minutes and finally asked if someone would be working on the passport lane, that's when they mentioned to sign in but the sign in sheet was no longer there. The problem with the process is that nowhere does it say to sign in and I spoke to a manager and mentioned the lack of communication and I'm here again for my sons passport and I see that it's the same thing. People standing around with their passport application until other customers let them know there's a sign in sheet. Also, they offer passport photos but they prefer to send you out, recommending either AAA or I believe she said Costco. Recommendation; show up at least 30 minutes early to sign in. read more

Came in to process my passport today. It's spring break so I knew I would have to wait a while, but I was pleasantly surprised by the good organization of this post office. We came extra early to sign in because we knew spring break would affect the waiting times. The gentleman helping inside was very clear and helped people organize their documents ahead of time. This sped up the line. Tip: come early to sign in and have your documents ready. My husband and I were in and out very quickly. read more

I've filed a complaint at this location, as well as with the Postal Inspector and nothing has been done as of yet. My family and I have been victims of identity theft due to these incidents. Came here to get my daughter passport. I got there at 9:30 am and did not leave till 1:30 pm. I left really upset because I was there mostly all day with my 1 year old daughter. Sandra the employee that was handling the passport got me upset. This post office needs to come out 15 minutes before they start with the passport and check if everyone has the proper documentation so we won't waist all day waiting to be called and then tell you, you can't get a passport because they do not accept certain identification. This will help a lot if the post office employee will let the customer know so that certain identification are not permitted. read more

One of the only post offices locally that will still take walk-ins for passports. Not sure how much longer they'll keep doing this. Last time i was there, their camera wasn't working so make sure you have your paperwork filled out to the best of your ability and a good passport photo. Don't believe the guidelines on the travel.state.gov website for valid photo submissions. Go get them done at Costco or a photo studio to save yourself the hassle. read more

Unfortunately,the application was returned because the person responsible to properly have me file the passport didn't have me sign the application . I went back to re-file and the person in charge did not want to admit she made a mistake. Lady was upset I questioned her ability , i understand mistakes happen but don't try to blame me for something you didn't do right. Thank you for inconveniencing me and having me waste my time waiting for a passport that was never going to come, all because you didn't do your job right! The service at this facility is absurd. It's the only post office open on a Saturday in pico Rivera so here I am calling at 0947am 10/3/15. Several calls and no answer whatsoever. I'm calling because a package I'm tracking shows it has been delivered and of course I have nothing! I know the mail people often deliver my mail to my neighbors and vice versa but a huge package like I'm expecting? Come on! I really can't wait until all post offices are closed for good. Update: went from 2 stars to 1. I'm not sure what it is about post offices in Pico but I'm over the horrible lack or communication and customer service. so I was super excited to finally apply for my passport, I called ahead of time to make sure I didn't need an appointment, I was told I didn't, to just walk in before 2:30. So I get to the post office and there's a couple in line in front of me. I grab an application to start filling out an application. I complete my application and I wait behind the couple ahead of me. A few minutes later two people walk up behind me in the passport line. The ladies behind the counter are just looking at us and talking among themselves. So we all just continue to wait to be helped, and after a few minutes one of the ladies says they're not doing passports anymore (it was 1:55). The couple in front of me was especially upset because they had been waiting there and one of them asked "Why didn't you say anything to us sooner? we've been waiting here this whole time." one of the workers replies "I just got here". I continued to tell her that I called ahead of time and was told to just walk in before 2:30 (online shows 3 so good thing I called). She told me that I had to get on a list before noon to be seen. I told her I wasn't told that so that whoever is disclosing information should get it together so that it doesn't waste everybody's time. She just said that there isn't anyone there to do passports. I'm really confused about whoever I spoke to giving me wrong information. Online being incorrect, no one letting us know they weren't doing passports until they saw the line getting longer and the fact that I feel like this office just makes up their own schedule and hours whenever they want. The staff are really friendly every time I visit this location. They even provide me my proof of receipt when I requested unlike other locations. The wait time is a hit and miss since there isn't too many staff working at the same time, which is usually 1 or 2. The area is clean and easy to locate items.
