Lack of accountability is an understatement when it comes to describing this place. 8 weeks ago I applied for my passport. My husband and daughter also applied. They got their passport in a timely manner. Mine on the other hand, was never filed. Waiting 8 weeks for a passport that was never going to come. In addition, they cashed the money order. The story I was given is that one of their former employees was committing fraud. As I can understand, it's not anyone else's fault but it's the lack of empathy and compassion. Guzman is very rude. Kept avoiding me. Of course I'm upset. I was robbed time and money. Then they look at me like I'm the crazy one. Guzman if you read this, remember you are at free will at your job. 6/2026 My Amazon package was to be delivered on a Sunday through USPS. Delivery person did NOT read the specific instructions on the package and claimed they couldn't deliver it. The package then disappeared for 3 days with absolutely NO tracking or scanning on it, until I contacted my LOCAL PO (why it originally went to BG, I don't know. Perhaps they work on Sundays, and the local PO doesn't) and requested they locate the package. They did find it the same day, and I had to go to the BG PO to pick it up. I have to wonder how long it would have taken to do something about that big box if I hadn't contacted my local PO?? BG needs to do better. read more

This was the last location of my package which needed to be signed for and placed in a lock box every step of the way. Staff behind the counter were chit chatting, ignored my greeting, and proceeded to help me when they finished socializing. I was told that my package was returned to sender prematurely. After returning to speak to a supervisor, I was told that it was in their facility, but they didn't know where. They couldn't ask my regular mail carrier as to the whereabouts of my package because she wasn't there that day. My package is scheduled to be returned to the sender tomorrow and nobody knows where it is. This is a prime example of incompetence and the reason why the US Post Office was struggling to stay in business. read more

I lost a package at bell gardens, it was shipped back in August 2024, tracking number 24 1895 9615, over 30KG, in a home depot box with the phone number 6047161381 on it.. My last ditch effort is that if anyone is able to find it, I will pay 2000 for the package back no questions asked, just keep the cash for doing the extra effort in helping me locate my package because I bet the facility is huge. the stuff inside is not even worth 2000, but it has a lot of sentimental value to me (clothes my mom bought me, some paintings I painted etc). They lack basic communication and information! You'll get a different answer per employee. No one can give you a straight answer, they just pass notes over from the Postmaster who refuses to handle issues personally and therefore leading to no resolution and more misinformation. If you file complaints online, it ends up back to them and they'll call you once, won't leave a message but even if you answer, there's no resolution. They only provide the 1800 number, which leads back to them unless you wait 1+ hours to speak to someone else. They escalate situations for no reason and provide no solutions except spending money for unnecessary PO Boxes. read more

I have no problem with my regular mailman, but when he has a day off look out. I was to have 3 packages delivered today 9/12/2023. Two of the packages were delivered no problem, but the third one wasn't, but according to the tracking number it was. The package was only a pair of earrings that looked like green beetles, not very expensive, but I wanted them or I wouldn't have ordered them. Customer service based review: Long story short: customers before me were trying to resolve receiving mail cause of the woman dog, the man (family friend?) adopted the dog and showed proof so the woman can receive her mail again. Post office gave her the option of putting the dog up for adoption or euthanize it. Man just said the dog didn't hurt anyone so euthanizing the dog wasn't necessary or right. Lady said in Spanish: "why wait until it hurts someone". Meaning/implying they should put the dog down regardless of the dog not hurting someone. She messed up my appointment and had to reschedule and was rude the entire time and i even recorded the end of it. Long story: 3/23/2023 I went in last week to schedule a appointment for a passport. Service was fine and rarely come to the post office and it's usually quick and easy anytime i do and clerks are always helpful and polite. I'm sure a lot of people don't go to the post office much so a lot of people take a bit of time or make errors when trying to fill out forms etc.. so if there's a wait, it's fine. They handle a lot of customers everyday so that's no reason to give them a poor review. I was just told i would be put in the system and to show up on the day scheduled. The lady just wrote it on a scratch piece of paper. I did walk away thinking i should've gotten some sort of confirmation but assumed that's just how it's done. As of today 3/23/2023 i unfortunately lost whatever i used to put down that information. I went in person to ask since i can't do it online since i wasn't given any sort of confirmation/referral. Same lady who gave me My appointment helped me today. Right from the start she had a attitude and was extremely rude to the two customers before me. I thought maybe it was just them since they were already there for a bit before me but the fact that she carried whatever anger over to me caught me off guard. I don't care how much of a bad day or even how rude someone is with me, I'll still be polite and i was during this whole conversation cause it's not worth feeding into it. I explained my situation and she stated she cant give me any information and it's all online. I told her i made my appointment in person with her and proceeded to check a calendar when she said she couldn't check.... She said she didn't have me on there and she rescheduled me for next weekend, again no confirmation. i kindly ask for some form of confirmation from her. i just want to make sure cause i don't want any mix up the day off the new appointment. She rudely said in Spanish "i cant give confirmations, i wrote you down, if not go somewhere, i wrote it down here can't you see? Have a good day, see you the day of the appointment" and proceeded to slam the door. I really needed this appointment as I'm going out of the country and was hoping to get it before then. It's already cutting it close. You can say it's poor scheduling on my end but i only recently got invited on this trip so that's the reason for trying to do things within two months of the trip. Those two customers who came in together i mentioned is what's the real kicker. Wasn't trying to eaves drop but everyone could literally hear it. They recorded their encounter and again i didn't think she'd be rude to me and only recorded the end of it. One couldn't receive their mail due the mailman not wanting to enter the yard due to her dog (I'm assuming it's a big dog). So you can kind of guess what happens in these situations. Customers stated they came in to settle the issue that there person (family friend) was adopting the dog. since the postal service requested they put the dog up for adoption or euthanize it even though the dog didn't hurt anyone. The original owner walked away to fill out some forms and When the guy told the lady that they care about the dog and it didn't hurt anyone so there's no reason to put it down. He Specifically mentioned putting the dog down, not the adoption. She responded in Spanish: "why wait till someone gets hurt". Closed the door on him and walked away. It caught me off guard that i didn't really process it on the spot what she said. i was mostly focused on how rude she was being and how the two customers were clearly frustrated with her and not trying to cause a scene. It's not my first encounter with people like this so when it was my turn i already new she was intention trying to be rude. As a dog owner myself this was absolutely disgusting to hear. When she closed the door the guy pulled out a phone and said he recorded it. I hope they report her cause i definitely did as soon as i walked out of there. Tried uploading the video encounter but yelp only lets me upload a picture. Don't let her or anyone else try and cut you short with information. It could result in losing packages or like me ruin future plans or things that need to be attended to that unfortunately some people only have a last minute notice to get done. read more

Worst experience ever , packages have been there since 30 Days and nothing is moving, No tracking updates. Usps does not take any actions, I have 3 opened missing mail claims for packages. Usps agent keeps closing the cases using the excuse of Covid. Ordered a journal and I was excited to received it. I kept tracking my item and last I tracked it was May 21st which stated it was out for delivery at 7:45am. Well at 10:33am it showed that my package was delivered and under that it stated individual picked up. I called regarding the matter and was told to give it a day and follow up. I called today and they hadn't even HEARD of the constant stream of issues going through this black hole of a place. The reviews are not paranoid, they are not made up, the pictures are not fabricated, this place is terrible terrible news. I am waiting to hear back about updates on my package, but just to give you an idea (along with the other customers that have been screwed over here), the package contained birthday presents, priceless items that took the sender WEEKS and months to acquire over various paychecks, and time, love, and effort that some crack-head at this post office is pawning off behind the trash cans or something of that sort. The phone number I mentioned above conducts federal investigations on shady crap like this, and if enough of us call, (it's based on the volume of issues) then believe me, we will get their attention. The Bell gardens post office does NOT care, will NOT pick up your phone calls, care about your emails, and etc. They need to do a full-scale cleaning out of this place, and it's unbelievable that nothing has been done about it so far. read more

Bell Gardens Sorting Center for USPS needs to be investigated and the entire facility shut down permanently. This is NOT the place to allow sorting of citizen's mail and deliverables take place. All my clothes and Xmas presents were in a carry on I ended up having to gate check. Long story short the luggage finally arrived at my parents in MA, but I was already back in CA. Mom was nice enough to unpack and repack my items into a USPS box and pay extra for 2nd day shipping on 1/6. On 1/7, for some reason, it ended up in Bell Gardens. Those of you who have already posted here know how this story goes. It somehow got stuck there for 5 days before finally arriving in LA and to my door. The box had clearly been torn open and re-taped but the contents were not what was originally packed by my mother. They took all of my clothes (two vacuum sealed bags) and replaced them with a pair of leather chaps, a mismatched pair of black heels and ONE of my brown boots. It is impossible to speak with anyone on the phone and my local USPS told me there is nothing they can do and it's odd that it even went through Bell Gardens. Horrible post office!! There is an Indian man that works there and I swear every time I come to this location I always have a problem with him. He always finds a problem to where he can't ship my package, or he tries to charge me extra when the shipping cost is supposed to be free ( its prepaid!) He is also rude and has bad customer service etiquette. I will no longer be coming to this location even though its the closest to me, I will take my business elsewhere. As a "legal" resident that been living in Bell Gardens for more than 10+ years, I never had awful experience with my local post office until now. With me not receiving my package is a new normal due to the mailman incompetent or something but with my recent experience when I continue received other mail and not my mail kind of take the cake. With me receiving mail off and on over the past couple of weeks, but I guess incompetent continue to play a role in the way my local post office operated. But on other hand, I can clearly see why because the new mailman or mail lady can read English correctly. USPS Corp. Office, just because you decide to give equal opportunities does not mean you should ignored every compliant that been email to the corporate business. When filing a claim and opening an investigation nothing was done. All they do when opening an investigation is send an email to the last mail carrier to receive the package. Which makes now sense since it went through about 8 different places from ohio to Cali. To top things off the post master from Anaheim was extremely rude and refused to accept that there is something wrong. He just kept saying it is impossible for employees to go through packages. 1) nothing is impossible. People that do things like this find a way. There are several usps workers that have gone to prison for doing this 2) extremely unprofessional and absolutely no help How are you going to solve problems when you don't want to look into them. I ordered my business cards through a large business ordering firm(Vistaprint). They provided me a tracking number, etc. and it stated they were shipped for some reason to Bell Gardens sorting facility and from there, they were supposed to be sent to Los Alamitos. Sometime after the scan at Bell Gardens, there was no activity on my tracking info. I waited a whole week until I finally called the shipper who were equally as puzzled and said they would investigate. I left my number and received a call back the same day and she told me it appeared my package was lost. They shipped out a new one free of charge and that one arrived safely(it was shipped via FedEx overnight ). The business cards that I initially purchased and we're lost, we're to be sent to my home but had a mailing address (PO box#) on them. a few days after I received my replacement, I checked my PO Box and received a large envelope with a Bell Gardens post office as the sender. Guess what was in it? My original order of business cards! That's right, there is a thief at this location who opens packages and then reseals them, I guess my business cards were useless to them so they sent them back to me. Even though they sent them to my PO box, I did get them a month later. I'll give them credit, they are honest thieves by mailing the package back to me after they opened it! Crooked and corrupt people here just like with that whole police scandal with Bell Gardens, something isn't right and someone needs to investigate this place. read more

Currently (on 12:12 pm on Tuesday, October 13) there are ten customers in line and one employee working! The poor guy looks like the most miserable person in the world and who can blame him?
