UPDATE: my package is magically starting to en route 2-3 hours after I came to make a scene at this location and wrote this review. This package has not been moving in 8 days. What a coincidence! THE WORKERS NEED TO BE INVESTIGATED. So many people lost their valuable packages here. So I've been dropping off packages at this location for years without a single issue--until I dropped off a package contained an expensive purse inside. Now, suddenly, tracking shows the package never left the facility. I went in to check, and conveniently, no one could find it. The worker, who was a tall, Samoan looking female scanned my package, and also told me to file an online claim for my $4000 purse. It's awfully suspicious that the only package to go missing just happens to be the first high-value item I've sent. I trusted this location for a long time, but after this experience, I highly suggest you think twice before leaving anything valuable here. read more

The employee who typically works mornings to early afternoons at this location has been consistently difficult to deal with. I sell clothes through Poshmark and usually reuse small boxes from my Amazon orders to ship items. Other USPS locations always accept my packages without issue. I come to this USPS because it's the closest to my workplace, making it convenient to ship packages during my lunch break. However, this specific employee always insists that I use USPS-branded boxes instead of my recycled Amazon boxes. I don't understand the issue--aren't we encouraged to recycle? I've encountered this problem with him three times now, roughly a year apart each time, and each time, my package is rejected. The service is frustrating. I always end up going to another USPS location where my packages are accepted without trouble, but it would be much more convenient if I could ship from this location without hassle read more

Came to this location in the morning to drop off a package (pre-paid shipping). I waited for a week till tracking isn't moving so I have to go back to this branch. They said they LOST my package, and because I didn't put insurance to it (which I never did ever), they mailed me QUICKLY 100$ check since I sent it priority mail. Thanks, my package was worth 2k. None of these workers helped, i called, made follow ups, asked me to go to the other branch for extra help, but I just spent extra money and gas for nothing. It's very obvious and very easy to profile a package and BREAK THE SYSTEM and just give them senders 100$ for whatever. Such a waste. Lesson learned. Never in this branch ever again. I stopped by this location and was told by an older Asian gentleman that they don't scan packages in at that office since he is the only worker there and they're not a main facility so they never scan packages there. The lobby was completely empty and he had spent a considerable amount of time helping and waiting for a lady ahead of me earlier. I guess if you're female you'll have better luck at this location with this worker. I attempted to have one of my more important packages scanned in out of the 5 I had but he still refused. This person needs to be put in an area away from the public as he has no customer service skills, nor a desire to assist the people who pay to keep him employed. I've been making an effort to use UPS and FedEx more often and after this negative interaction I'll be making sure my future packages are shipped with any service other than USPS. In the past I had an item I dropped off that I didn't get scanned in and USPS lost it. Since it was never scanned I was not eligible for insurance. His insistence that they never scan and refusal to provide that service makes me think an investigation should be conducted for missing packages that have been reported during his shifts. read more

US Post Office - Post Offices Near Me - Norwalk, California

I came in today at 1:00 p.m. to drop off a couple of packages to have it scanned and provide a drop off receipt. I waited in line in order to get a drop off receipt. The Asian guy, which I didn't catch his name, that was supposed to help me end up refusing to scan any of my packages and turned me away. He wouldn't even scan 1 package to get a drop off receipt. This worker is extremely rude and LAZY! I do not recommend anyone going to this location. He should be removed from his position since he can't even get his job done correctly. read more

I usually don't ever write reviews and never take the time to do so, but this time I will. On 09/21 (today) I walked into the USPS office because it was the closest to me. I had about 10 packages ready with prepaid labels, all I needed was a receipt because i had packages that get lost inside the USPS office or they never shipped them out (to be clear it didn't happened at this office) I waited about 5 min in line. Once I get to the counter, the clerk (afternoon shift, glasses, Asian or Philippine- don't need to mentioned this, but he pissed me off) he told that by City of Norwalk new law he couldn't scan all my packages, that I needed to choose 3. They were my wedding invitations (very important to me) I asked why, if when I go to drop off packages to any other USPS office they always scan my packages. He told me again that I needed to choose 3, or I can just place them on the counter. Mind you all the "drop off packages (about 20) they were still there, NOT in a bin or something. I didn't wanted to argue, because he was by himself and had a long line. But technically he refused me the service. If by the city of Norwalk they don't want clerks to be scanning packages, then they (City of Norwalk) can simply place a self- service machine where we can scan our own packages. This is sooooo unacceptable. I hate it when people in who work in customer service (call center, fast food restaurants) are this mean or rude. Unbelievable. Came by this USPS office location during my lunch break to take care of some quick business. However, my quick trip didn't go as planned as it was not so quick at all. Had to wait in a line about 15 people deep and there was only one clerk at the front desk. This office is located in the Paddington Square at the intersection of Norwalk and Imperial Hwy. There is ample parking but people apparently still feel the need to illegally park (behind parked cars) while they run in "real quick" to check their PO box in the lobby. An item I recently ordered was misrouted to the Norwalk Post Office. After calling the company I ordered from and receiving a "we'll be getting back to you in 24-48 hours" answer, I called The Norwalk Post Office myself. A gentleman by the name of Jose answered and preceded to look the item up, then search the office for the package. He let me know when and what time the package had been mistakenly sent to Norwalk and that it had been re-routed to the proper office. He double checked everything and told me I should be receiving it today,however; if I didn't receive it today, to please call him back and he would look into further. I had a package misdelivered to my apartment complex recently. It says that they delivered it, but it definitely wasn't in my box. I called the post office for about four consecutive days. Each day they took down my phone number saying they will give me a call right back and track down the mail carrier that day and see what happened. Each day I did not receive a call so I had to call in myself every time. It was the same answer and disappointing result every time. Finally, they said that the package wasn't found, and that the best they could do for me is write me a letter stating it was misdelivered and that they're very sorry for the inconvenience. It may be the most useless letter that can be written. I'm hoping I can just use it to convince my product provider to give me a refund or a new package for the mistake that the post office made. I can't believe they don't do anything to reimburse you for the inconvenience and the fact that I had more than $50 fly out of my pocket. It was a time sensitive package that I needed as soon as I could get it, and now I am paying more out of my own pocket to repair the damage that came from not receiving my package on time (hair care product). read more

Apparently, the same Asian guy whose name is George is rude to everyone. It was 4:57 p.m. and he was locking up and would not provide assistance, even though he still had three minutes. I showed him the time on my phone and informed him that is was 4:57 p.m. and his reply was, "So, it's not by your time, it's by my time." I went on to tell him that he should not close the door prior to 5:00 p.m. and he told me to go somewhere else. At that point, I asked for a supervisor and he said, "There is no supervisor. I'm the only one that works here." George was extremely rude in his tone and very unprofessional. The USPS should not have someone like George representing them. My mother worked with the United States Postal Service for over 30 years and she was appalled when I shared the story with her. George should receive some type of reprimand for his inappropriate behavior. If he can't work with the public, he should seek employment elsewhere, because the USPS is a customer service industry. I would honestly not give this post office any stars, but that was not a choice. For the record, the Norwalk Post Office, located at 12415 Norwalk Blvd.- Norwalk, CA 90650, gets a zero (0) and so does George. read more
