Came here today for me and my daughters passport appointment. We arrived about 20 minutes early and a black lady (not sure if she's a supervisor or just a post office clerk) asked if we had already filled out the passport applications. I told her that we needed some assistance to ensure we were filling out the applications correctly. She seemed a bit irritable and she then pointed her finger at the application in my hand and spoke to me like I was stupid and said "you read all of this right here and then you fill it out". Anyway... The only reason I gave this location 5 stars is because of the clerk who assisted me and my daughters father today. He was an older Filipino gentleman (I don't recall if his name was Noel or Michael) but either way he was very respectful, very patient and polite and very thorough. He made our passport appointment and passport application a real smooth process for us. He even corrected us a few times when my daughters father filled out the application incorrectly but was very polite about it and had him fill out a new application. Once he made sure we had everything in order, he took me and my daughter to the back room to take our passport photos and he made it a very quick, smooth appointment for us! We were literally in and out in about 30 mins or less. However, I did have to call this post office once I got home. I wasn't sure if I left my daughters birth certificate there or if they intentionally kept it since this is her first time applying for a us passport. The lady Stephanie I believe her name was that I spoke to over the phone explained that they will mail all the documents back to me along with me and my daughter's passport. Lately when I take priority mail package is to either post office the Main on Lincoln or the satellite on Cerritos, it takes up to a week for delivery very disappointed, watching progress and it does not even get out of their facility for a full 24 hours it seems. Not sure what's going on. Also with the benefits and decent pay these employees get in their own union, they sure act like they're miserable and tortured to do their job lately. I needed to mail something on a Saturday, and this Cypress location was one of the few USPS locations that was open. Its a scarce little post office just a 1/2 block away from the Home Depot. If you drive too fast, you may miss it, as its pushed back from the street, and has trees blocking the view. When we arrived a little after noon on Saturday, the parking lot had only 3 cars in the lot. I was worried that the USPS information was incorrect, but sure enough it was open. In their lobby is a self service machine, where you can avoid waiting in line and do your own postage to ship things, even a USPS priority mail item. The lobby also has big drop off bins for boxes, as well as slots for small mail. I had prepaid boxes from Nordstrom, and didn't know that I could have dumped my boxes in the bin. So after waiting 2 minutes in line, the post office employee pointed to the "bin" and said to drop it in there. I was a bit annoyed, as he could have just taken it from me. Why 4 stars? Its opened on Saturdays, and they have the self service machines. Plus, plenty of parking is a bonus. I'm sure its busy during the holidays, but for my experience on this visit, it was quick and easy peasy. read more

One Monday I called this place to schedule an appointment for US Passport application, and a lady placed me on hold for five minutes, so I ended the call. I assumed that they were busy, so I just thought that I would call back after half an hour. So I called again, and the same thing they placed me on hold for more than five minutes, without checking back on me. So again, I was like, okay, I understand they're super busy. I have to call back again later. And so I called again, and same thing happened. I was so irritated that I went to their location, in person, and made an appointment. The passport section is not all that busy because there were no people applying for passport at the time. One personnel even told me that there were two of them in the passport section, and there were no applicants at the time. They had me waiting for forever. Hello- passport employee, your service is unthinkable. You guys don't realize that you are paid from my tax dollars, why can't you do your job at least as appropriate as it should be. If I can work on a spell, I would make you guys do your job better, as I don't want other residence encounter the same thing I encountered. read more

Noel was absolutely the best! Great customer service, very knowledgeable, and he also went above and beyond - He walked me through every step in helping me with passport. I literally was out of there in less than 20 minutes! I think I've may have waited about 30 seconds before I got to the window. Short wait time, of course I had an appointment. this is by far the worst post office ever. the employees here are so rude. especially the asian employees, it's very sad. they treat other minorities very bad especially hispanic, middle eastern and asian customers who don't always understand how to ship something. i walked in today mailing a huge package that didn't fit in the drop box and i didn't realize they had a designated section for packages so i walked up to the first clerk who was there (older asian man) and just quickly asked if i could leave the package there , already postage on it. he flipped out and started yelling and saying "you can't just leave it here, don't you know you can't just walk in here, blah blah blah next time you can't leave it here" if the room wasn't so full and he wasn't already making such an ass out of himself i would've spoken back to him the same way but i simply said oh okay i'm sorry it didn't fit in the drop box and i moved it to a different counter. i'm starting to think it's a requirement to work here that you have to be an absolute asshole. The Post Office is really nice compared to other ones I've been to. All the staff are quick to help and get you in-and-out as quickly as they can. The passport Process was a little hectic but may make sure we had everything we needed so that we can get our son his passport. read more

This post office has the best service hands down compared to any other I've been to. Lines move along fast and workers are extremely friendly and helpful. Ordered a package and the mail carrier/mail delivery personnel put it in the wrong box. Now I don't know where it is?! What is the deal?! Also, the mail carrier in my area is incredibly careless with packages. There was one notable mail delivery personnel with arm tattoos and sunglasses that has thrown packages on the floor without any consideration of people's purchased items. There is a pandemic still prevalent and this person still chose to throw packages on the floor where the disease could be manifesting. Also, shouldn't the USPS office mandate their mail carrier/mail delivery personnel to wear gloves and/or masks to protect themselves and others from potentially contracting/spreading COVID-19?? When I used to live in Cypress, this was the post office I often came to when I had to mail out packages. Surprisingly, the postal workers here are pretty nice. But whenever I come in, there is almost always a long line with only 2 people at the front desk. The postal workers here are knowledgeable and generally pretty helpful. The parking lot though is kind of small here, well at least in the front. But there is parking in the back. read more

The ability to drive up and drop off letters was very convenient. The parking there is already pretty tight, so now you need to park, walk the 30 feet to get to the boxes. NEVER EVER USE THIS BRANCH... Went to this post office about 8am there was no line so I decided to drop of my package to the counter... so he can check the weight... he said it's good to go so I left... really slow on scanning... it's almost 9pm now and the tracking is still not showing... It's a 2day priority mail and they just wasted a day waiting to be scanned... UPDATE: tracking says it was scanned at 11pm... what is going on with this branch??? read more

Noel is amazing! Every time my mom and I come in he helps us out and he is super friendly! I never saw an attitude from him. He seems like a guy who takes his job seriously and it must be rough with so many people. I could understand if he has bad days but if you actually treat him with respect you get it back! This is a great place to take care of business. If it's a Passport issue, make sure you make an appointment. I did. I had to get my Passport updated and I came with all of my proper documents needed for a name change. Initially they gave me the light brown form to fill out. After I carefully filled it out, I was told by another Post Office clerk that I should've filled out the light blue form. Needless to say, I had to do it all over again. Nice! After that was approved, I went to another room to smile/not smile for the camera and fill out the label for the envelop. I paid for the transaction to be expedited and was told that it should arrive in 2-3 weeks or so. I look forward to receiving it, since I can't leave without it.... read more

This isn't related to the workers at this facility, it's about the carriers. We work in Cypress and everyday is a new mail carrier. There is a big metal box in the building garage, but the new people bring the mail up to our offices. NICE!!! However, one of our clients didn't put a suite number on the envelope-it got sent back to owner! All because the carrier couldn't look at the marquis downstairs. RIDICULOUS!!!! read more

I made the mistake of putting the wrong shipping label on multiple packages..they helped. I made the mistake of forgetting my shipping labels that I pre-purchased..they helped. Love this post office- not sure why people would give negative reviews. I expect the people themselves are recalcitrant and/or wily. I've always been treated with respect and patience. I walked in a minute before closing and the gentleman helping me didn't balk once at me causing him to stay after hours. OK... much MUCH better service today. MyLinh, the passport officer, was super detailed oriented. She was able to correct several mistakes that I made on my son's passport application (easy to confuse yourself with the "applicant") . She was fast, efficient, AND helpful in terms of making photocopies for us. She got us in and out within 15 minutes of our appointment. Bravo!!! read more

I can walk to this branch! The clerks here are wonderful, friendly, and helpful. The lobby is always clean. The staff here have always been great, it is the lazy manager that makes the self serve machines a nightmare. I came in with two stamped letters, was able to buy one stamp for fed tax return, then tried to buy stamp for my state return. The machine charged me for both stamps on my receipt but did not dispense the second stamp, then I had to stand in line for the manager to act like I had stolen a flipping 71 cent stamp really. I had reciept and had already stamped the 1.31. So why would I choose to steal a 71 cent stamp, then wait in line to get the stamp. I actually work for a living. No wonder the only thing that keeps the post office open is Amazon and that may be ending soon, since they do such a poor delivery job. read more

I used this branch to send a book. I already packed up my package, wrote addresses, and knew what the shipping price would be, so it went pretty smooth. No questions to ask from my side and no headache of having to explain anything from the employee (a male). Scan, receipt, circle tracking info and done. So I suppose, to improve my experience over time with any post office, one of the requirements is that I must do my "homework" first. I would assume if I come to any USPS or UPS with just the item and no package-ready (and ask questions which are already answered on their FAQ's or via Google community, for instance, the shipping rate and cost), my experience will not be as smooth. read more

The location may be a little busy (Lincoln and Valley View) but this post office has the nicest and most helpful mail clerks. I had to mail some international packages and there was a clerk there asking people if they were mailing domestic and paying by debit/credit card. If they were, he helped them use the automated kiosks. These kiosks are the best thing for post offices. I won't go to one if they don't have them. Although one customer was mad that a clerk was used to do this instead of being behind the counter, I found that having someone there to direct people to use them and assist them was very helpful. It did help make the line shorter. Since I had an international shipment, I needed to stand in the line. The clerk that helped me was so very nice, so polite, so friendly, so helpful - great customer service - a great rarity these days. Since I packaged my shipment wrong, the clerk gave found me the correct boxes from the back, gave me tape and found me a place to repackage my items. I was working next to another clerk for about 20-30 minutes. She was consistently friendly, helpful and polite to all her customers. I was very impressed with the customer service at this place. All the workers seemed happy to be there and happy to help. Even when that one angry customer was interrogating and demeaning the kiosk helper/clerk, the clerk kept a smile and answered his question with out being rude or snarky. This location is typically busy but I usually don't mind the wait since it's common for postal offices to have long lines anyway. My family and I go here often because one, it's the closest and two, we have never had an issue with this specific office. Every worker who has helped me were always kind, informative and helpful, especially the Filipino guy. He's the most welcoming employee I've dealt with here. read more

Its gonna be a sad day when the post office dies out. Since the invention of the internet, time has been quickly running out. I am still a very big fan of the post office. I prefer written letters to emails. There is very real emotional response that physical letter renders that an email cannot match. This branch is very orderly and the service is always friendly. Subpar customer service. I have this feeling that the workers here are not treated well. They always seem very stressed and annoyed by little mistakes customers make. They look like nice people but extremely unhappy with their lives... I feel bad for them whenever I walk inside. The line for waiting is usually very very long, so I use the machines to process everything. I guess it's a plus because for some reason people don't use the machines! I don't know why they don't. Absolutely the worst post office I've ever had to deal with. I travel a great deal and I frequent many offices around the US. Sadly this one is in my backyard. Most of the staff here provide marginal customer service. They all move at a snails pace mirroring the manager. The picture someone posted for this place is hilarious... nothing like having someone over your shoulder while you conduct personal business. One of there staple mark moves at this location. Plan on spending a great deal of time in line as they seem to only have two people at the counter at any given time unless its during the holidays. Then they staff up to three.
