This is the worst post office! Avoid this location! The wait time is ridiculous longer than 30mins, 15-20 people in line and only one window open. Customer service sucks, staff have attitudes and work so slow. Don't drop off your outgoing mail because it will either get lost or delivered late (2-3 weeks). read more

Horrible customer service, I accompanied my 80 year old father to renew his passport at this location because he had an appointment at 12:30pm and we arrived 15 minutes early as instructed but nobody was available to help him and made us wait for more than an hour. None of the workers seemed to care! read more

Three times they "lost" my mail. I specifically have a P. O. Box for my business and use it to have my customers orders sent there. I can't depend on this post office. Switching to another office. Three times you've lost my stuff?? I can't believe it! read more

Yes It can be a little stressful having to wait a couple minutes but absolute great customer service from Ms. Sheila she went beyond my expectations as a customer service rep she helped me file for my passport my husband and daughter thank Ms. Sheila you where the best... read more

Garbage post office and garbage mail Couriers. They don't deliver packages half the time. U can pay for 1 or 2 days shipping and still end up having to pick up your things from the postal office, and let me tell you, it's a headache. read more

Very poor service, so Ghetto. They have their kids working there, heard a young girl call the cashier "Daddy". They said they stop taking the last passport ticket at 12:30 but finish with them at 1pm. We were there at 12:25 today and the lady couldn't help us, she said "speak to my supervisor". How is it possible that they have workers who don't care about the business there. Laziest people I've ever came across. Please save your time and go to another US postal service !!!!! They really have poor customer service. read more

no words can explain how one person can leave so frustrated from this place. The people that deliver the mail on my block are so lazy, they do not even carry the package with them, they make the slip. i know because i have seen them. they need new staff ASAP! read more

We live in an area that offers limited local resources however we do have at least 3 postal offices in the area and several nearby, as customer service goes USPS has not been the gold standard however I am grateful for the service at a reasonable cost. I ship a lot to my out of state university student and priority mail makes a rush package affordable. The staff my not be gushy friendly but when asked for helped they do their best to find the item needed and will even suggest other locations if no supplies are available. I especially want to compliment Kenny his personality and and cheerful attitude with the customers is appreciated by all read more

Completely rude and unorganized. Half the staff has no clue what they need to do an the other staff is on their cellphones. They don't listen when you ask a question and just brush you off. The way they treat English limited customers is completely humiliating and degrading. No respect! What do they expect when 75% of residents are English limited. But really, who's going to read this and do something about it? And you wonder why the usps is not doing so good.. Is there a zero star rating? read more

Had two packages move through this facility in the past week. Both packages sat for multiple days at the same stage. You need to get your act together and keep things moving! Most other post offices have a package for a few hours and it's on to the next location. read more

This place sucks balls there's always a line and never enough employees at the window. The employees are friendly and helpful but this place sucks totally. I only come here because its convenient. read more

Wondering why my mail either never arrives or is ALWAYS extremely late grrrr.... I've been in this area since 2003. I'd never had an issue with mail until about three years ago. It started with mail arriving after deadline dates!!! Tripped me out at first but no biggie until it started interfering with my bills being paid on time. That's when I turned everything to online bill pay. I had always questioned why my coworkers always received their checks/stubs in the mail at least 7 days before I did. I made no fuss about it until I ordered my credit report TWICE a couple years ago. (If anyone comes across them please deliver them to me). After the first round of not receiving my report I went to the post office and inquired about it. I was reassured that IF they had it, it would have been delivered. So, I called to have it sent out again and MADE SURE my address was correct....to this day, I have yet to receive it in the mail; both of them. Just recently, a bonus check was to arrive....Many coworkers said they'd received theirs weeeeeekkkkssss ago....I had to go to my job and wait for a reissued check and that is when I changed my address at work to send my mail to a relative's house in a different city and guess what? I receive mail on time now!!! I also went in to the post office to fill out a change of address form. I'm officially done... read more

Terrible... They never deliver the package the day they're supposed to and when they don't deliver that day they lie and say they came by but no one was home to receive it... Total B.S. cause I work from home and when I know I'm getting a package I'm here all day. read more

WORSST POST OFFICE EVER. Last 10 days i order something from ebay the seller send the item by this postal service. i live in san diego and i still didn't receive my item yet. and every time i call them they don't answer. so i think they have lost my item. USPS should close this place or bring new workers read more

Worst mail carriers every I've been living in this new address for about 7 months now and I'm still receiving mail in my neighbors mailbox.. Wtf is it that hard to look at the persons name on the letters being delivered. Oh and my name is on the mailbox.. WTF GET IT RIGHT ! read more

I'm so sick and tired of my packages sitting there for 2 and 3 days before they even ship out for Irvine! YOUR USPS IS PATHETIC COMPTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

Literally the worst and it was my first time experience coming here to pick up my eye contacts online. I bought it almost close to $100 and their carrier whatever who the hell it is needs to show up again by this week because I'm gonna press on them and you guys need to be MORE organized and be professional about it and take your job seriously if you're working there. Its not fair I bought something online and throwing my money away if you guys didn't drop it on time. I would be SUPER disappointed if you guys threw it away or lied about storing it somewhere else. I have conformation about my delivery to show proof if you guys come up with a bullshit excuse. read more

My carrier i swear he always marks my packages as delivered and they arent in ny mail box today i wasnt home til late but usually i track hom down and demand my so called delivered package one time he even said he didnt have any for me and i showed him my confirmation and questions as to why he scanned ny package as delivered and still said he didnt have gave me the local office number and told me to make a claim .. i then looked at his badge to get his name and what do u know one hour later that night my package arrived n my mailbox ... this time no mail no package what is going on ....??? read more

The worst Post Office Ever! First, they lost my package. It was picked up by a letter courier and supposedly dropped off at their location. I called and one of their lady staff was VERY RUDE! She basically should have told me she doesn't give a damn of whatsoever!!! I am never going to send ANYTHING using USPS! read more

Received a call back today regarding my package that was suppossed to be delivered on 12/8 and was not but got a call saying it would be delivered 12/10. As of 12/14 they no longer know where my package is! It just disappeared. Bunch or thieves and lowlifes in this Post Office! We entrust the USPS with important items and in turn the thieves within the system take advantage and take what is not theirs. Scumbags! read more

4 days later package hasn't moved from the post office and still hasn't been delivered. don't know what the hold up is! They lagging

It has its days when the lines are ridiculously long and when there are only one or 2 operating in the counter but overall with my years living nearby it, has been very reliable. I only wish that they would have more people in the window counters when there is a huge populace sending their mail. I can understand how customers feel when it takes just one person to hold up the lines for one or more pieces of mail. If you get your stamps and know the postage, it will save you the trouble. read more

I have been waiting for 2 of my orders that unfortunately had to come from this facility since 12/27/15. Both my orders are still in pre shippment and it does not look like I will get them. I'm very pissed. And I expect to get my money back. I paid for shippment for 3 to 5 business days and I'm still waiting. They are just sitting there. read more

Ugh post office sucks. Been on the phone on hold for half and hour and still going. Delivery sucks! Post office is literally a few blocks from my house smh read more

Whenever I have a package routed through this post office it takes several days before it finally moves on to my local branch for delivery.

They say they attempted to deliver my package, I have security cameras and someone home all day that said nobody attempted anything. A note was said to be left for the attempt, negative, no note because nobody even tried to deliver it. Next time I'll pay extra for other means of delivery because there's always an issue with this post office and what's the point of delivery if I have to go pick it up elsewhere? read more

Pretty good place after all. I have been coming here all my life

Our mail Carrier is awesome, her initials are D.R., when she is off and is back to work she is a sight for sore eyes. It seems that when she is off, it is a given we will receive someone else's mail, or get no mail at all. I know she is so appreciated in our neighborhood. So if I'm getting other people's mail, Compton USPO, can you tell me who is getting my mail? As for walking in to a post office, I prefer Lakewood USPO, they are courteous , helpful and they have 3 self service kiosk. Also Lynwood, great service. These two branches are always well stocked, don't have to stand in a line to ask for a box. read more

This location has been by far the worst experience ever. They lost a very expensive package of mine and when I called about it, the staff was very very rude. A man answered all times and kept arguing with me that there was nothing they could do. They had a new mail woman on our route and she messed up almost everyone's mail. I had gotten mail that was meant for two streets over and not even close to my address. And their response was "Ma'am mistakes happen" so who is going to refund my money? Cause they swear that they can't. read more

The worst post office. They need to shut it down or do an internal investigation to see why mail is getting stolen, packages / mail aren't getting delivered at all or on time. The mail carrier didn't even deliver mail at all yesterday. I waited around all day for them. The Mayor really needs to adjust this issue. Some mail carriers are cutting corners. And it needs to stop NOW. There is time sensitive material that isn't getting delivered on time because of the horrible service. read more

If I could give half a star I would. I have been waiting for a re-delivery for over a week. I call with my tracking number and could it was in route then it disappeared. I called the 1-800 number and they supposedly resent the package, yeah right. I called again and spoke with someone who filed a claim and sent paperwork to this post office and gave me their direct number. A lot of good that's doing me they don't answer the phone. This is pathetic! read more

Dealing with this location was a horrible experience. I mailed documents from the Carson Office on 09/05/14 and they arrived at the destination on 09/08/14. A very knowledgeable and courteous clerk advised me that Express/Overnight service was not available to the destination zip code and suggested that I use Priority Service. On 09/08/14, I was advised that one other form was needed. I went to the Compton Santa Springs Location as it was close. What a mistake. The Clerk #42 was very rude and indicated that I needed to send the item Express/Overnight ($19.00) even though the guaranteed delivery date would not be until 09/10/14. I asked her when the item would arrive if I used Priority ($5.75); the date was the same 09/10/14. Needless to say the item did not arrive on 09/10/14. When I checked the Tracking, it indicated that the item did not arrive in Los Angeles until 2:54 Am on 09/10/14, so it stayed at the Compton Post Office for two days. The package contained Court documents so we will most likely need to change the flight so that my sister can file them whenever they arrive. read more

The post office complains about losing money - but when I put my packages out to be picked up at my office, the lazy-ass postal worker leaves them there! Happens many times if they don't feel like picking up the mail. They really do suck at this branch and the people working out of it do as well. We'll see how they like it when the funds get cut and their work hours do too! read more

worst postal office ive ever been to. shocked that the same people are allowed to work here for years and still have the worst attitudes/customer service. calling on the phone to reschedule a package is even worse. ive been on hold for 40 mins now to schedule a redelivery read more

I have been in the same situation as Daniel R. below me for several times now. The Compton facility is so slow. Whenever I am waiting for a package and I see in the tracking information that it's going through Compton it always gets me agitated because I know it will stay in the Compton facility for several days before it moves again. I live nearer to Compton but a package I ordered from New York actually arrived first. read more
