No matter how many people are in line, I'm usually in and out in a minute. All they want is the return code, and I'll usually have that ready on my phone before I walk in. It's annoying if they're waiting for me to scroll through my emails. I show them the code, they scan it, I get the receipt, and shortly after I get the conformation email. It couldn't be simpler. The associates are friendly and their goal is to make the process quick and smooth, and that's exactly what it is.

This is a very convenient location if you're in West Hartford, they also have plenty of parking available. It of course depends on when you're going, if it'll be a long wait or a quick and easy run. Most of the time if I'm mailing a package within the US, it's a very quick and painless process, but If it's an international package, they'll want me to get out of line to fill out a customs form, then come back to the counter. Meanwhile all the people in line are looking at me as if I'm getting special treatment. Try to avoid purchasing boxes or padded envelopes at the post office, these are significantly overpriced, and they can be found at many other places at a much lower cost. I can't say the lady I encountered working there today was the most pleasant, she said to me "so many people here give me anxiety.." I'm not sure how to react to this, post offices are very busy and people can get moody. This is a post office, you can get your passport here and you can purchase stamps. It serves its purpose, some packages are very expensive to mail out, but I can't blame the post office for that.
