This was hands down the most unprofessional and combative customer service experience I have ever…read moreencountered. I visited this location to ship high value luxury designer items (valued at $3,000+) and was met with inexplicable hostility from an employee named Valerie. I paid a total of $108.93, which included a $20.95 packaging fee. Despite paying for this service, Valerie flatly refused to package or seal the box while I was present. She insisted that she would only tape and seal the package after I left the store. When I asked to simply package the item myself to ensure its security, she refused to let me touch the tape, citing "liability and stating I would cut my fingers and start to bleed and further refused to even sell me a roll of tape or an empty box so I could handle the packaging process myself instead. Leaving a $3,000 unsealed package in the hands of someone so openly rude and dismissive was not an option for me so I requested and received a full refund and took my business elsewhere. The most shocking part: I went to a different UPS location immediately after. Not only was the staff there significantly kinder and ten times more professional, but the total cost to ship the exact same 5.5lb box was only $66.19 not $108.93. Valerie's behavior was combative and she seemingly attempted to overcharge me by over $40. This location is a poor representation of the UPS brand. Save your time, your money, and your sanity go elsewhere. Why did she want my Louis Vuitton items to stay in the UPS store unboxed after I paid over $100 for shipping? Were these 2 items going to magically disappear in transit? This will be escalated to corporate as well because the customer service I experienced is quite alarming.

Part of the item arrived broken, which made the set worthless. I contacted PakMail numerous times by phone, email & in person about reimbursement for the item & the cost of packaging & shipping. They refused to pay me for the item until I signed a release for all other claims. After receiving the payment for the value of the item, I was told they would not reimburse the cost of packaging & shipping. Their reason was that I didn't purchase separate insurance to cover this cost. During the 45 minutes I was in the store completing the transaction no one ever explained that these costs were not covered by the insurance I had already purchased, nor was I offered the option to purchase this additional insurance. Unfortunately, I now have no recourse to collect the $388. I will never use this store again for any shipping or other needs. FYI - I have never posted anything less than a 5 star review. This place deserves less than 1 star.

They partner with Yellow Freight which brings the cost to half of what other shippers charge (who use various mail services). When Yellow Freight forgot to scan the four handmade box crates in Chicago (apparently quite unusual) and we weren't sure where they were, Scott offered to call Yellow Freight and described the crates so that could be more easily found. Everything arrived in perfect order and the boxes & inserts that Scott made were amazing. This is a family business, run by Scott and his wife, and they care about what they do. It shows.

There was a very nice gentleman named Adam who printed these colorful cards for me. They had a watermark, that he asked if I'd like it removed, I told him yes please and he did. I was very happy with the service I received from Adam. The other thing I needed printed was some pictures off my email. Sadly Adam was gone, a young girl who looked to be about 17 took his place. I emailed them the pictures and I explained to her that the pictures should be small, and several of them can fit on one page. She said they "can't do that". There were a lot of pictures, that were also printed on fancy hard stock paper, that was completely unnecessary. It is so wasteful to print one small picture in the center of a full sheet of paper. The total came to $68.00, that's completely ridiculous. She called the manager over, who offered to give me $10.00 off. That's still robbery. I didn't get the pictures. Teacher's personal budgets don't expand very far as it is. Adam was very friendly, personable and helpful. The other associate was none of those things. At Staples you can find anything you may need for your office or classroom.

The walk was very easy with some roots and rocks. There were views of the brook which was peaceful and the sound of flowing water was lovely. There were information cards everywhere detailing which wildlife lived in these woods. There were a couple of small bridges; one was on concrete and fenced in. We also walked over to the butterfly garden. They did a great job with maintaining this land. I can't wait to go back to check out the nature center and the other trails. Since it's early spring, there were no vegetation; I'm sure in the summer this place gets super lush greenery. They also offer many programs and activities; The Children's Museum in West Hartford is also affiliated with them.
