Went today to send off three packages, only ended sending one as the shipping label thing I had was acting up. But the worker was very rude, I apologized for that as I know it's probably annoying to waste your time with one person and they don't even end up sending it off. What I got was a nasty stare and no reply. Then she put the shipping label on the wrong package despite me clearly stating which one to put it on. And instead of apologizing she tried blaming it on me saying that I made the mistake. Even though the person beside me also heard me say which package very clearly. Then when we asked if they would replace the packaging she ruined by putting the shipping label on it and ripping off part of it she said no and to buy another if it bothers me so much. Very bad customer service and experience and hope to not see her again. I ask or hope that she can be fired or at least corrected for her behavior. read more

I like passing by this post office on the way to work. Very convenient. So far, I have not had any issues in regards to mail being lost. The facilities have always been fairly clean. Service has been polite and effective. Seems to be a less busy office compared to the other locations. Makes for getting out of here easier and faster. They do not have mailboxes available for us to drive up to and drop our mail unlike other locations which is inconvenient. Cannot really blame them for not having those, though, because the location has many homeless nearby. read more

I visited this UPS location recently and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. The employees; Stacey & Laura were extremely rude, unprofessional, hostile, and unhelpful. I came in requesting service that I had previsouly confirmed was allowed according to the information posted on the official USPS website, however the staff refused to assist me. Both Stacey and Laura were dismissive and spoke to me in a very unprofessional manner. They didn't appreciate that I called their unprofessionalism out and then labeled my request as suspicious, this was done on purpose; this came off as retaliatory and inappropriate. I'm sharing this to bring the situation to the attention of USPS management and to inform other customers. Situations like this reflect poorly on the organization and I hope steps are taken to ensure all customers are treated with professionalism. read more

Only reason this Post Office gets a good rating is because of Gary the Postal Carrier. He is the best Postal Carrier this station has had for YEARS. He should train all the other Postal Carriers on Customer Service, because this station is LACKING big time. During the time Gary has been assigned to this route he has done an exceptional job and I appreciate him, as I am disabled and can not be outside everyday to wait for my mail. As it is a public street my mailbox always gets blocked by cars. Gary will make sure we get our mail. The post office on brundage ln is one of the worst post offices in bakersfield. I have visited it a fre times for dropping or picking up packages. The old lady white hair at the front desk is very rude and looks like if she hates people specifically Hispanic people. There is no one to whom you can talk about it. It seems like everyone does what they want. Very bad service. read more

I had to drop off a package on a Tuesday after Memorial Day. I was coming back from the Arvin area and I realized it was getting late. Not wanting to drive to central Bakersfield, Pegasus, or even by CSUB I quickly searched for nearby US Post Offices. There was one right off the 58! It was an easy find off the freeway and parking was plentiful. I looked for a drive-thru drop off and none was available. There was one located right by the entrance. But not knowing the safety and security of the area I opted to get it scanned inside. There was only one other person in front of me and three total workers behind the desks. I only waited about 2 minutes and the gentleman that helped me was quite pleasant. He even noticed I wasn't from around the area and we made small talk. It was nice to have such a pleasant interaction! In less than 5 minutes I was back in my car and on the road home. Overall, my experience was five stars. Knocking one based on the curb appeal. The overgrown dead grass in the front really makes it look run down and vacant. I'll definitely remember this easily accessible spot for the future. read more

Every time I get a package being delivered, they always seems to never be able to deliver it. I got email Notification stating my package was attempted to drop off, but no authorized recipient available. Upon further investigation I look for my ring cameras to see if anyone attempted to make a delivery. The USPS delivery driver literally drives up to my mailbox puts a slip in my mailbox yells just once "package!" then immediately gets back into his mail truck and drive off. I notice I didn't receive my Amazon packages along with my PTSD medication and daily mail. Then I checked and it said all my mail is being held at the postal office; per customer request. Never once did I request this. I go in and speak to Carlos the manager. He informs me of an altercation that happened between the carrier and a man. I said okay but what does that have to do with MY mail? He goes to say that there is an investigation and once that investigation is complete they will determine if mail can be delivered or not. The absolute worst post office I've ever been to. I visit a shipping service several times a week and I absolutely dread when I need to come here to pick up a package. Upon arrival, I wait in line about 25 minutes, usually watching 1-to-3 other customers get into an argument with an employee. Following this, I'm greeted by one of several very rude employees (picture a person who acts completely irritated by every person they meet). I'm usually here to pick up a package, and out of maybe 10-or-so packages I've picked up here, 2 of them were "lost" in the back, to the point where I had to wait several days to come and get them. Two times I was greeted with suspicion due to the address on my ID not matching my mailing address (even though the name is a perfect match and I'm holding 2 notices). I could go on, but you get the idea, STAY AWAY. read more

Since Dec 26th this post office has locked their doors after hours(5pm), so no-one has access to their PO Boxes. This is utterly ridiculous. They say it was due to a break in, but no other posy office locked people out of their lobby after similar incidents. People who work during the day can't get their mail...even though we paid for a PO Box. Its been 2 months now..I really can't understand the logic behind this. i am out three packages in the space of two delivery days. the fill in postal carrier (brundage station) who was covering for my regular carrier (steve)who is out sick lied to her supervisor by stating that she negotiated the locked gate and left the package on the front porch. accord to the neighbor dorothy, the package(s) were left just over the fence and all have been taken by way of the fact that my office is in a suspect neighborhood. It took me 50 calls to get through the line just ask for my mail key and on top of that they tell me they are behind ? I've been without a key for about 2 weeks now when it should've taken 2 days. I only gave them a star because I have to in order to post a review. Today I was reminded why I'd rather have things shipped UPS. My sons Godmother who he only gets to see once maybe twice a year of his lucky, sent him a shipment which she paid extra to have PRIORITY mailed, we unfortunately weren't home for the original delivery so I had to go pick it up myself, which I have no problem doing so since the post office is about a mile away from my house, I walked in with the slip they leave which had a tracking number, my address and my sons name, the usual, the girl that helped me looked like she was ready to be home hours ago, because she obviously didn't pay any attention to the box and slip and make sure everything matched. I didn't know better because I didn't know what she was shipping since it was a surprise for my son, but the box that I received didn't even have a sticker with a tracking number or anything so I don't know how this girl figured it was the package that belonged to my slip. But anyway when my son opened "his" package it was a Halloween costume size 3-4T and my son is 10years old and his Godmother obviously knows that and when I called her to tell her the costume didn't fit she was obviously thought I was playing a prank on her because she said she sent him some souvenirs from a trip she had taken, which had nothing to do with a costume to begin with. So that means I was given someone else's package and my sons package could be somewhere out there, but I'm hoping it's still sitting at the post office. I plan to go in first thing in the morning. With my fingers crossed of course. So I WILL be posting an update and never personally shipping anything regular USPS read more
