no to happy with the service I called in the morning roughly 11, I needed to find out if my registration was due because I had to make repairs on it before I could get my plates. I paid all my fees last year and just got my car done. the office told me they were going to call me after 2. I should have written this review months ago! This is the most amazing place! My teenage son got himself into a problematic title situation buying a car off Facebook, and we couldn't figure out how to handle it. Heather handled everything for us. She was calm and efficient and honest about how long it could take, and she talked me off the ledge several times. I am so thankful we found her, and now the car is registered, and all is well. She even checked in on us afterwards to make sure the registration process went smoothly in our state once everything was done on her end. read more

Prejudice location and rude employees to non white customers. The owner or manager did not help us register a vehicle. We had title, bill of sale, and smog. She said we needed to call DMV because she made a mistake by having us pay registration to a different vehicle that was not ours. We went to a different registration place and they registered the vehicle immediately, but they said Gentry owes us money for charging us registration for a different vehicle from a different owner. I think that manager is not state licensed to perform DMV services. I recommend going elsewhere except this location. read more

My experience wasn't great sadly, I took it in and a month later I had to call them to get an update. They kept saying someone would call me and they leave notes but I don't believe they have a task follow up system. They won't call you, you need to call them. It's been 2 months and nothing! I asked if it's in process then that's okay but if not I want refund, they refunded me no apology nothing. If you are in a hurry you're better off going to dmv your self or another registration. They seemed busy but with business comes consistency and seems they can't handle too much business at one time. read more

We had to register a vehicle that had been "non-op" for a year and a half. On the day that we wanted to register, we tried three separate DMV's, looking at a 2-4 hour plus wait at each one. We went to Gentry's, and were in and out in less than 20 minutes. They charge a service fee for their DMV services, But my time was well worth their modest fee. This places absolutely sucks. They stole $400 from me and never answered there phones. I moved here from Arizona and needed to change my stuff to California. So I went in and paid to change everything and waiting for them to call me so I can go in to pick up my stuff and nope never received anything and never got my money back it's been a minute. Seriously this place goes above and beyond to get what you need done. I've dealt with the DMV in the past and never like to go there, or just don't have the time to take an entire day sitting, waiting for a number to be called. Last year I started a process to obtain my registration and tags, with another company on F st. Worst idea to even go there. They never fully got my registration handled, tags were never sent and there was a non-op they never told me about. They couldn't get the proper letter from the financial company to release the car. They kept my original paperwork and "couldn't find" it. Finally I took my business to Gentry's. I should of started here to begin with. She got the forms I needed, jumped through hoops for me and I got my tags! She worked with my schedule and she stayed late when I couldn't get off work earlier. If it wasn't for her or her hard work, I'd still be paying that other company to not do a damn thing for me. I almost wanted to cry, driving away legally because it took a year to get here! Once I got the paperwork back from that other place that she needed, she had it done same day!! She gets things done because she knows her stuff! read more

This place is not even deserving of 1 star. The customer service is HORRENDOUS, and the owner is especially rude. They were running late and were completely unapologetic about it. They didn't finish the work that had been requested, and their use of foul language was terrible. This place is great. I walked in and was helped immediately. I had to pay a small fee, but it paid for itself in no time. I didn't know it, but I had a couple things I had to take care of (unpaid toll, mixup with my insurance company since I lived out of state, etc). If I had gone to the DMV, they would have sent me away to deal with these on my own without registering my vehicle and I would have wasted hours of time. Heather was very knowledgable and took care of everything with ease. This place is worth its weight in gold and is much faster and more convenient than going to the DMV, waiting for hours, and then dealing with a DMV employee and their trash attitude. Heather and all the women in there are awesome. Came in with a bunch of salvage certificate/out of state problems to be solved and it was no issue. They gave me all the paperwork I needed and told me to come back when I got it all completed. I had it completed and was in a rush so I went to a different registration outpost and they told my paperwork wouldn't work and id need to go to the dmv. We dropped our paperwork off to get a vehicle registered in our name we had purchased in October 2020. From late October 2020 to April 2021 never got a call, tried calling and texting them several times and when we finally got someone on the phone in early March they said we would get a call back...nothing. Finally went down there in person to get the paperwork back so we could file it "6 months later" and they had a note on the door stating back from lunch at 1pm. 1:25pm they pulled up with leftover food in their hand and strolled back into the office, never apologized to the line of people in the parking lot who had been waiting there for nearly a half hour. Asked for the paperwork back and they had not even started on the paperwork. They are extremely disrespectful and could care less about their customers or their time. Awful customer service, just go to the DMV or AAA yourself, don't waste your time with this place. read more
