I do recommend scheduling your appointment online versus doing a walk-in. The walk-in line can get extremely long and you will be waiting forever! I wasn't too upset about this because my current photo was terrible and didn't resemble me at all. If you do this, make sure to choose the at-home test option online. It costs $45, the same as taking it at the office, where the lines are insanely long. The DMV was packed! When my number was finally called, I was lucky to be assisted by Karen Gomez. When I reached her window, I told her, "Whatever you get paid, it's not enough." I had witnessed such rudeness from others there to take care of business. Nobody likes going to the DMV, but people, please be nice! Karen was incredibly kind and put me at ease.
