I had a passport appointment today which I was running late for tried to call the phone number which belongs to this post office and it rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang and rang so I called the 800 number and filed a complaint missed my appointment I had to reschedule it. Utilized their passport services for my two month old daughter. We had an appointment and was seen on time. I also made sure to print out the forms needed, as well as having photocopies ready of my license, her dad's and her birth certificate (all need to be of the front and back). There were 4 people helping with passports and Esther was the one who helped us. She had great customer service, checked us in and took great photos of our baby girl. It seems they only take 20 walk in appointments a day, so if you need to be seen you have to be there early. read more

Made an appointment for passports with the entire family, arrived 10 min early and no one else but us in the entire office. Three USPS workers and not a single one was involved to help us.... What's the point of making an appointment?!! The lady who was behind one counter (with no customers) said she's not assigned to help us but rather someone who's still in the back finishing lunch.... Been sitting around for 30 minutes past our appointment time waiting for someone to come and assist for our appointment. The woman presumably assigned to help walks back and forth from the back with her face glued to her cell phone. Went to submit my electronic fingerprints for an FBI background check (this is where they set you up to go from the online application.) I arrived at about 9:45 to a sign that read you have to have an appointment on Mondays and Tuesdays (nothing mentioned about that anywhere online.) So I go back to my car and look up how to make an appointment. The only way to make an appointment is if you are submitting a passport application (which I am not.) So you're just out of luck with this location. You can always tell you're in for a good time when you approach the grimy glass doors that haven't been washed since Nixon, and find six sheets of paper haphazardly taped to the inside windows telling you that you can't come in unless it's the 3rd Wednesday in a month that ends in "d" on an odd leap-year. read more

The USPS has to be one of the very few industries where you can be absolute garbage at your job with no repercussions. I have never before had so many packages marked as delivered but in fact not be delivered. In just the past month I have had 3 packages coming through USPS marked as delivered only to never show up. We have cameras all over our home so we can clearly see no attempt was made and our neighborhood is pretty good about sharing when packages are misdelivered. USPS then has the nerve to send a survey out asking "how our delivery went". No where on the survey does it give you the option to select that your package was in fact not delivered but that doesn't matter. No one seems to read the surveys or follow back up with you. USPS is good at delivering your junk mail and that's it. Don't use them for anything else. read more

Made an appointment online to get a passport for him. Printed out and filled out the forms. Since I wasn't sure which form he needed, I filled out both options. We went and had our passport photos taken before hand so we didn't have to that day. Instructions emailed said to arrive ten minutes before our appointment time. Gathered the documentation listed and tucked my check book into my purse. I was not able to make an appointment to renew my passport but I filled out my form and brought it with in case. Plenty of parking and we were nearly so we waited in the car since it appeared the door was locked as there were people lined up outside. At fifteen till 7am we headed towards the entrance to wait our turn. The door was still locked ten till 7am when we tried it. Since it said we had to arrive early I was surprised at this. But an associate finally came to open the door and asked if we had an appointment. I showed him my confirmation email and he let us in. Told us to sit down at the end. He informed the others waiting that if you didn't have an appointment, walk ins started at 9am. He came to the desk to help us. Luckily I had filled out both types of forms as the one I had stapled his photo to turned out to be the wrong form. But I had another photo so Steve stapled it to the correct form. It's confusing what documentation they need as he didn't ask for certain things but asked for others. My advice is to bring everything you can think of in case they ask for something not listed on the website. That way you won't waste a trip. They do take photos at this location so that's handy because some stores don't take photos which fulfill the requirements. Another family had to re-take their photos here as the ones they had were too small. He did take my application and placed it into priority mail for me. That was nice of him and convenient for me so I didn't have to make another stop. I ran out of checks so I was mad at myself for not verifying I had them before coming. Luckily I had my debit card and could use it. However, he didn't tell me the debit card was used to purchase two money orders and a fee is charged for each. I would have paid it anyways since I had no choice but I would have liked to have known. The appointment too approximately 15 minutes and while it wasn't smooth, at least it's done. Takes longer to get your passport these days so make sure you apply early enough that you have your passport for your trip. Expedited still takes 5 - 7 weeks and costs an extra $60. There is a life or death emergency appointment option and information can be found on their website. read more

I know that most USPS locations are not very helpful and it is infuriating! But my experience with this location (Colfax), was nothing but pleasant. I found the postal personnel to be friendly and helpful with my passport application and photo. You do have to schedule an appointment, but I was in and out in less than 15 minutes. Went to get my passport renewed and arrived on the dot. When I walked in , I was told I missed my appointment and I will have to reschedule. There was 4 workers and nobody else there. We were the only ones and we didn't get help. We had our forms ready and everything ready but we were still denied. The worker who told us we were late told us we had to arrive two minutes early. Took me 40 minutes to buy postage stamps. Once, the clerk just sat around, ignoring everyone. The other was pretty clueless to one customers questions. The person in charge was telling everyone to shut up cause she was on the phone dealing with the recent passing of a relative of hers. They should have postage stamp vending machines. read more

Worst. Post office. To date. Held a package of mine for DAYS that they weren't supposed to have in the first place! I shipped a large box from the downtown post office on November 30, 2016. Flash forward to today where my tracking info is JUST NOW being updated!! For some strange reason, these people have been holding it there in Aurora for days, and didn't make an effort to move it until I filed a complaint! I paid for 2 day priority with tracking, and SIX days later, it's still not even left the state??? I called this post office 30+ times in a row. Yes, I went nuts on these mf'ers. I want my package delivered!! And, as you can see from the call logs, they hung up on me every time. Without ever addressing me once. These employees sat around then would turn back people who arrived late to their appointment but the ones who were there were not seen at their scheduled time slot. This is a great location for passports. Have all your necessary forms filled and ready, plus copies of your license and birth certificates, and you will breeze through the process. Photos are taken at no additional charge. You will need either a personal check or debit card; no cash or credit cards. Also, if you need passports for children, both parents must be present or you will need the supporting documents to show adequate guardianship. With all forms complete, extra copies in hand, it took approximately 25 minutes from start to finish for our family of four to get first time passports. read more

This post office typicallly does a good job with customer service; however today was not a good experience for me. I entered the post office and was rudely told that the woman had already locked the doors at 1pm. She then went on to tell me how she gets off at one p.m.. The interesting factor in all of this was that she was having a conversation with a patron/friend or someone about how expensive her bills were. To that Caucasian 5 ft 10 medium built woman who is responsible for handling mail at the P.O. boxes, maybe if you did your job free of distractions you could finish on time. I am a veteran education in the public school system and was mailing letters of to my students. Many of my students are behind, lonely and suicidal because they are not participating in "in-person learning" Times are hard for everyone, but for someone to disregard a customer's question is an example of a lack of customer service. She continued to be rude when I asked her if I put my own stamp on this size envelope, in order to mail it. She replied that she needed a scale in a smart condescending manner. It is now apparent to me why the US Postal Service is under functioning. Your employees are unahappy and the Postal Service as a whole is terrible. I will continue to utilize UPS, Amazon and other entities that are committed to serving customers with respect. I by no means want this employee fired, but customer service etiquette training would be nice. Review for USPS Mega Passport. So as of Oct. 2015 this is now the only passport location for many Denver and Aurora Post Offices. Be fore warned. Not so great that they take walk ins for passports vs appointments. This place is always packed! I've tried on several days and times before giving up. We are talking 50 plus people in line at 9:06 in the morning on a Saturday.... 6 minutes after opening. AND You MUST bring a photo copy of the front and back of your ID with you in addition to your ID. This information is found no place else except a sign on the wall as you walk in. My guess is if your are reading this when you first walk in you end up making a second trip. Would make much more sense to include this REQUIRED piece on the website or on the application instructions with the other requirements. Am I right or am I right ? Plus expect to pay by cash or check only..even though you can us a credit card for postal transactions. My advice, make an appointment with another cities USPS and drive as far as you need to avoid this place. read more

My daughter and I went in for passport renewal without an appointment. We went on the -12 degree day too. We were met at the door by an Agent (JJJ). This was by far the best passport experience. JJJ and another lady were working several customers. They were both extremely knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. JJJ had a no-show and was able to fit my daughter and myself in. We had got an appointment one month ago for our appointment at 4:00pm for getting our passports. When we got there a dark skin male was assigned to us and while we he was doing our passport information he said that we had to bring in more documents because we had everything printed but he needed the original. So, he said that we had time to bring it till 4:35. When my dad came at 4:37 he started arguing that he couldn't do four peoples passport info till 5 and my family and I started to get angry because he promised us if we came at that time he would do our job but instead he was doing other peoples documents and couldn't care less about ours. I am from Casper Wyoming . My appointment was between 9.30-9.45 am and reached at 9.40 am , there was a long queue and was waiting outside to let the person in . By the time I went inside it was 9.45 am and the person who took me in said you are late and that she cannot take me in , she directed me to another lady who also refused to take my application . She directed me to JJJ, he was the most kind and humble person I have met . He heard me and accommodated my request and helped me to process my passport . Postal employee did not deliver a package to my condo. We have postal boxes for bigger boxes and they weren't used, just a note on my door to pick up between 9-5 Monday-Friday -- I work 7-5 across town. I left work early one day only to run into a lot of traffic. I walked up to the outside door at 1 minute to 5 with my pick up slip in hand. There was a gentleman ready to lock the door to the counter. I showed him my slip, he looked away, locked the door and closed the curtains. there was still a customer in there being taken care of. How long does it take to help a customer pick up a package. SUCH BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. No wonder the post office is going under! On a good note, we applied for our passports here.
