Staff is disrespectful. The lady with braids who helped me had an attitude. I greeted with a smile and asked how she was. She basically threw the package I was returning at me DEMANDING me to tape it more, not asking. She didn't greet me and also sighed and rolled her eyes several times with several customers, including me. I get that rushes can become stressful, but it is no excuse to treat another person, especially customers, who treat you with nothing but kindness like this. Normally I would move on, but my daughter had a similar experience with the same lady on a separate occasion and I don't find it okay. I placed an online Hold Mail Request for my mail while out of town. The Hold began as scheduled however I didn't receive my mail upon return as I requested. That afternoon, I called the 1-800 number & spoke with a representative who put in a Service Request. The following day I was hopeful my mail would be delivered but unfortunately it wasn't. On day three I called the 1-800 number again & spoke with another representative. She saw my Service Request & suggested I call my local post office & gave me the phone number. (This was the same number as posted on their website.) I was not able to speak with anyone there since the phone number had been disconnected & was no longer in service! So, I called back the 1-800 number & spoke with yet another representative who gave me the phone number for Consumer Affairs. I called Consumer Affairs. The only option at Consumer Affairs was to leave a voicemail, which I did. On day four I went to my local post office & picked up my mail. The counter employee was friendly, helpful & apologetic. She didn't know why my mail hadn't been delivered & wasn't aware of the phone being out of order either. Overall, a frustrating experience. I now have all my held mail & daily mail delivery has resumed as well. Next time I place a Hold Mail Request I think I'll just go & pick it up at my local post office. read more

There are two ladies that I'm grateful for because every visit they have been so friendly and helpful. Their energy and beautiful smiles make my visit less anxious because I honestly hate mailing stuff off. But their service decreases my stress and worries. Woman working at counter is rude and lazy. Since when does the post office not give you your packages when you come to pick them up? Just because it will be too much to dig through. Then I ask when wil the mail be delivered because I need my package. All she responds with is sorry I don't know. She's also the slowest moving person here and always has an attitude. The entire staff at this location is unbelievably rude, most notably the manager Kelly, who I had the displeasure of meeting today: After patiently waiting in line for 20+ minutes behind one customer (who apparently needed all four staff members assisting her), was turned away because I hadn't pre written down my address on packages. It took 10 visits, 4 separate requests because they kept losing them and 8 weeks to have my mailbox keys changed to a house I just moved into. I was told a manager would call me to sort it out several times and I never received one phone call. I also didn't receive a phone call when the keys were ready. Since we were in the neighboorhood and I had to send a package back to Singapore, we went to this location of US Postal Office ~ Montbello. Its OK. Since its after working hours when we were there, there is a line. The postal person in charge behind the counter was nice. All in all is an OK experience. I hope the package I sent will be delivered promptly as requested and promised. Its a pretty small postal office with limited parking space. If you happen to be here to send mails or packages, come when ITS NOT during the PEAK hours or just have plenty of patience waiting in line. read more

This US Postal store is accurately 4 stars. Don't take your visit too serious. You're not spending your life away here. You're just here to pick up, pay, drop off! To get the most out of this experience, here's what to expect: busy, busy on mornings. But very dead in the afternoon. The staff is very friendly, likes to joke, and I had friendly service over the phone. I noticed that they send an additional notice in the mail, in case you missed your package the first time. Two packages were supposedly delivered to the lock box but I did not receive. I did receive 2 packages that were not mine around the same time. Went to the post office twice to try and track down. Was finally told by a manager that the computer said it was delivered so that was that. "Someone else got to the packages first". How does that happen with a locked box and key put in your mail box??? Each time I went in, there were several people with the same issue...lost packages. Sure wish this was not my post office. So basically I never got my package, which was a lawnmower. I signed up to receive texts from USPS about my package. The day they sent me the text saying my package was delivered, I was home and immediately went outside to check for it, but nothing was there. The text said it was delivered to the mailbox so I went there to check as well, but who would drop a big lawn mower by a tiny little mailbox? That doesn't make any sense! I went and checked anyway, nothing there! Now I've called twice and was told, I'd get a call back. Nothing! no calls back to this day! Somebody has my lawn mower! Totally unacceptable! If you have an option to go to another post office by all means do so! I have no choice but to deal with this post office. They constantly deliver my mail to the wrong home, and to make things worse, this home does not bring our mail, does not call the post office, and opens our mail! I have spoken to Joanne H.(the manager) on two separate occasions. I've explained to her that this post office has delivered the mail wrong for years and I keep communicating with them about this and nothing has changed. She pretty much told me she can't do anything about her employees delivering the mail wrong. Now I currently have confidential documents out floating around and missing $250 worth of goods. She wasn't helpful at all. So aside from this place being very, very slow, they mishandle mail and don't hold your breath on getting it resolved. With the current manager at least. read more

In the new addition of USPS Nightmares: Girl drops ID in post office and without waiting a full 24 hours the staff sends it to a mystery office in a faraway land, the Loose and Lost Mail office. The staff can send it there but tell Girl they do not know the contact information so I may call them to intercept the ID. The office is to send the ID to the address on the card but since I've recently moved it looks like my identity is going to be floating out there somewhere for a while. Just another installation of HOW LONG CAN WE KEEP UNTRAINED PEOPLE ON THE CUSTOMER SERVICE FLOOR? I hate working by this post office and if I can avoid it will wait until I've driven to a better location so my questions can be answered by someone who is competent in their employment position. read more

It's a post office.... Yet it's not the nice clean one over near Quebec. No smiling faces at this post office that's for sure. I legit stood in one of the longest lines all to get up to the counter for the woman to tell me, "All you had to do was put that box in the cart". Oh well I surely did not see a sign that said, "If you're postage is paid for, please place your postal items here"! That would ha e been nice. It was my first time there and all of my neighbors tried to forewarn me that my local post office is not very nice. Well I suppose they were correct in their judgements. Be prepared to stand in a very long line. The postal staff take their time in everything and customer service is not apart of their job description. A word of advice would be to simply go in, say nothing, speak when spoken to and handle whatever you need to and get out. The energy matches the decor in that place. I called regarding a package that had been in they're location for more that 2 weeks without any movement. When I called the lady that spoke with me on the phone was extremely disrespectful. Right off the bat she was very angry and saying bad words, as a customer I told hey lady you just picked up the phone and still haven't even asked whats the purpose of my call. then she went on and on saying she couldn't help me and that she is not willing to attend me. told her that the way you are treating your customer is not the way, you need to take a break and cool down because that is not the way to attend a customer and be thankful that she at least has a job and should try to do her best to keep it and not insult or be disrespectful to the client. After I said that she exploded on the phone and I just hung up. Called the next day and spoke with another representative, this other lady was very helpful and said they were going to call me back, but she never did. Had a person go over to the facility and by the looks of it the fist lady was at the location and also treated him very disrespectfully. Just came in and it was a quick wait and efficient fast service. Much better than my past experiences.

You can tell that customer service isn't a priority here when you walk in to a line more than a dozen people deep. Only one register was open during the busy 4:00pm time frame. After twenty minutes or so without the line moving, another employee came out from the back and asked if anyone was there just to pick up a package. Half of us were. She then disappeared on a 15 minute search for another patron's pickup, that turned out to be missing. A third employee then emerged from the back and took the next person in line picking up a package, before disappearing once again after helping just one customer. Sadly I had to drive here and wait almost an hour to get my package because my mailman refused to walk a few feet to leave my package at my door when it wouldn't fit in the mail lockers. I'd be more surprised if the Postal Service wasn't already in billions of dollars of debt and losing billions more per year. The USPS will seal the last few nails in its coffin if it loses all of its customers due to better prices and service at other shipping companies, so I'd start making customer service more of a priority, in terms of both mail delivery and at the post office itself. read more

This is the worst post office on the planet! The one star is solely for Rebecca, the only person who genuinely cared about my issue. The manager of this branch on the other hand, didn't even bother to share his name with me. Instead he looked at me assuming I was not the one with the issue and made me move from where I had been patiently waiting to the other end of the counter to go talk to him about my issue. He then proceeded to tell me that because my package was shipped "parcel select" it really didn't matter or have any value. Why do you even offer a service that places no value on itself?!?! Not once did he accept blame for the package that was delivered to my house that was to an address that doesn't even exist! He was a spineless human being! Worst experience to the point of tears! The saddest part is I am out of money and the item that was shipped even though the item was insured! How can this even be possible??? Item was tracked and listed as delivered to my mail box, yet no package or key to the larger mailboxes...checked back 3 days in a row, contacted the usps and they stayed they had to speak to the handler who delivered the package! His response was that he put the package in the box and left a key in my mailbox. The lady who called to relay the message was rude, short with me, basically made it seem like there is nothing they can do and it is not their problem, she told me to take it up with the legal department and gave me a number. When I called the number to legal they said I have to call and work it out with the Montbello carriers, who had just told me they can't do anything for me!
