LETS BE VERY CLEAR IF I COULD GIVE A 0 I would. After moving to the Sherman Oaks area a friend and I went in to this salon. I wanted a pedicure and my friend a Full set and Pedicure. After consulting and figuring out exactly what she wanted she was given a total of $95 and she said ok sounds great. Seeing how this is the lowest we've paid in the area she jumped on it. The lady then advised her she needed to pay in full for the service before she'd start her service. But stated she had to because her boss told her to. My question is why? Because we're black women? Never in my 27years of getting my nails done or 10 years of styling hair have I ever heard of a stylist or nail tech making that request. As someone in customer service you may ask for a deposit, yes. But never full amount up front for a service someone isn't even sure they like. What happens if for some reason they're given a bad service. I'm sure you're not going to refund it. This is unacceptable and I will NOT be back!!!! Do not go to this place. read more

I'm new to Yelp and after my manicure-pedicure yesterday decided to post re: US Nails. I was VERY surprised to see the negavtive comments as I am a regular customer and always satisfied. I happen to call to make appointments on the spur of the moment and I am taken in on time. I see walk-ins who are advised if they can be taken immediately or not, so they can decide. After all, if you WALK IN, how can you be sure there is someone available that instant? If someone is available, they are taken immediately. There is plenty of OPI polish as well as other brands. No, it is not a spectacular place, but it is very spacious and clean with plenty of room between stations, has a nice waiting area, has friendly workers and is reasonably priced. I get acrylics and pedicures and am very, very happy customer. read more

This place is fine, the usual drill with attempted add-ons and up-sells. I will say that my gel manicure looks flawless, but my pedicure chipped the next day. I've been in desperate need of a mani/pedi and came across US Nails. "Why not?" I decided. The manicure was just fine. The pedicure HURT. The woman dug into my skin WAY too hard. I'm honestly not sure she knew what she was doing. The paint job was nice, but that's to be expected from a professional nail place. Plus a star because they let me in 20 mins early. I have been coming here for 10 years and am always satisfied with the high quality manicures and pedicures I always receive. Diana is very detail oriented and thorough, and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. The salon is clean and the prices are fair. I wouldn't go anywhere else, and recommend it highly. I usually add on a 15 minute massage which is great. I have never had any of the drama or problems that others have talked about in their reviews. Parking can be tight so park at McDonald's, get a coffee, and walk over. read more

I had a great experience at this place...I was referred and booked a same day appointment with Lanni. I called at 4 and got in @ 6. She was great. I had a messed up fill job that was overdue to be repaired. I thought I would have to take off everything and start fresh but Lanni gave me a few suggestions and did a GREAT job! She even has my nails at the exact perfect length I love and need for work. So looking forward to seeing her in 2 weeks for my gel set. Worst nail experience of my entire life. My boyfriend and I were in the area and were desperate for a quick mani/pedi and they were free. First of all, they're so unprofessional, as soon as they started me they started speaking to each other in Vietnamese, and they already tried up selling me with the callus and the extra massage. After telling them no thank you 3 times they started laughing and mumbling something to each other. There files and buffs were probably used on like 20 different customers, the polishes are old and thick. I told her WHILE she polished my nails that it was bubbling already and she put on 4 or 5 coats of top coat which made it too thick and by the time I came home my polish was already ruined, my nails are already chipping, and she didn't even cut my cuticles off. The pedicure wasn't that bad, it was quick and she polished so quickly, but I didn't see any bubbles. Anyways, complete waste of time and money and I do not recommend anyone going there. read more

So Im pregnant and needed my nails done and saw this place tucked in a corner and thought to give it a shot. Much needed relaxation and all I needed was a fill and pedicure and this lady took 1.5 hrs for a fill!! Im not satisfied with my fill at all :( went ahead and paid and the lady charged me twice and said it didn't go through. Had to get my pregnant ass up and go to the 7-11 ATM to get money out. Found out I received 2 alerts from my bank on my phone stating they took the money out of my account. I live in West Hollywood :( I now have to print out my bank statement and drive over the hill to get my money back :( I HATE THIS PLACE!! DO NOT GO!! SAVE YOURSELF!! read more

Interesting....i have gone to this place off and on for many years. 10+ years ago, they were very nice, always did a decent job, never felt the upsell pressure. I took a 5 year hiatus when i moved to the west side. Now that I am back in the Valley, I gave them another try. First attempt was hard up sell to the really annoying point, the mani sucked but the pedi was good. Did not go back for a few months, but one afternoon, desperate and in a hurry i went again. This time, lovely experience and great job. The next time, so so, time after that OK. Bottom line and based on what I am now seeing with the very mixed reviews...its a total hit and miss and much of the bad is true! Reading the reviews talked me out of going tonight...gonna try someplace else, but am guessing the location will have me back at some point since its so close to me. read more

I come here because it can be quick and inexpensive. I like Julie the best but she is the busiest. You have to call in advance for her. They do try to get you to say yes to a slew of extras and if you say no they try to show you how awful your feet look if you don't already know. The callous remover is ok for the extra price but sometimes it burns. They try to get u to give a cash tip instead of charge. I do like it fine but I can do without the faces if I decline a massage or if I only have a credit card. But it is convenient. You aren't paying for atmosphere. It really is your foot in a plastic wrapped bucket but when it is $20 with tip for a pedicure and not $45, you are usually ok with that. I have only had one bad pedicure. One toe was darker than the other because the solution didn't dry underneath I think. But overall it has always been good for what u pay and for last minute walk in convenience. read more

$39 for a gel manicure and regular pedicure. The paint job was a little sloppy but everything else was decent. They seem as clean as any other place- no better, no worse. They're totally average in every way, which is totally fine for me. But if you're looking for a 5-star luxury treatment, go somewhere else and pay more. read more

This place is the worst nail salon I've ever been to. I was concerned as soon as I walked in and realized I was the only customer. I figured it's fine because it's the Monday after a long weekend so they were slow. No. I was wrong. First of all, they don't have the proper tools to do a gel manicure. I left with sticky nails. Their UV machines take 2 minutes each time to dry. It took her 30 minutes to fix ONE nail for me. I thought I was going to have an anxiety attack. The manager didn't give two shits that her employee was mentally challenged and I was yelling and complaining that my nail was ugly. When I walked in, she said its $3 to fix my nail. I asked her to put a clear coat on the rest of my nails so that it would look even. So at the end AFTER she "finished" my nail, she told me it was $7. This place was HORRIBLE and I wouldn't send my worst enemy here. read more

Love Lonnie (I think that is how to spell her name - she's in the first chair on the right when you walk in)...Everyone is so professional, clean, and sweet here. I very much recommend it. The only one major downfall is the parking lot - it is always difficult to park in this small strip mall, and once, my car was hit by a truck trying to fit into a compact space. HOWEVER, the nail service it great. I have never tried the massage but have had it recommended by another friend who goes there. read more

I found this place after I moved to Sherman Oaks. I go to Tiffany - She's so sweet and really does a great job. I love this place.

I got acrylics with my friends and my mom asked how much it would cost. Someone told her it would cost $25 then after everyone started getting their nails done we were told it would be $30 because we got longer nails and they charged one of my friends $35 because her nails were longer. All acrylics are all the same price at other nail salons so i dont understand why we were all charged different prices. Another issue i have with our experience is that all of our nails smell bad and theyre very soar. All of our nails are in pain and its not comfortable. They feel like theyre going to fall off. i also got a pedicure and i wasnt placed into one or the massage chairs that you normally sit in. All of them were available and the whole 3 hours we were there i saw 1 person in one of them. Everyone else got a normal chair and a bucket. The lady doing my nails was very aggressive. She was using a regular nail file rather than the electric nail file that are usually used and it was burning my fingers and since it was so aggressive i felt like my nails was going to fall off. I would say "Ow!" and times and she would just say "sorry" and continue doing the exact same thing!! At one point when she was using the buffer on my nails and i asked her if she could be more gentle because it was hurting and she said "But this is soft" rather than just saying "okay sorry" I replied by saying "yeah but youre pushing really hard on my nails so it hurts" and she said "okay okay" like she was annoyed. She told me to go wash my hands and when i came back she said "are you okay now? are you done crying?" and then laughed. I made it clear i was not happy about my nails and the experience i was having but it definitely was not appropriate at all for her to make comments like that. While i was there I over heard a women getting gel nails correcting the person doing her nails! I also over heard a lady who was being charged $25 say "last time it was $20" and the lady working said "No it's $25" I understand that it's only a $5 difference but it's definitely not appropriate for a company to change prices randomly and charged people different prices for the same thing. When the lady was done with my nails I had acrylic on my fingers and I told her and she just looked and said "it's okay it'll come off with just water." She didn't off to remove it. When i got home i washed my hands and nothing happened. I washed my hands about 5 times before i took a pair of tweezers and pulled it all off. I wasn't the only one with this issue we all did. While she was putting the acrylic on my nails she was using WAY to much and it was VERY messy. She started to move onto the mext nail and I noticed there was a clump of acrylic on my nail so I told her and she said "Oh it's okay im going to file it down" and she did nothing. My nails look and feel awful and I regret coming here so much. It's been about 5 hours and my nails still hurt a lot and feel like im going to lose my real nail. I'm never going to go back to this place EVER. I would NOT recommend this place for ANYONE EVER. If you want a good experience in the same area DEFINITELY go to Nail Fetish on Riverside. read more
