I definitely have to agree with the reviews above. Also, definitely NOT coming back. We've been at the salon 3 times. First time was nice, but the second time, we started having doubts. The prices were SUDDENLY very high, higher than last time. The nail polish cracked after a few days, meaning that their colors were quite old. However, against our better judgement we still decided to go a third (and last) time to this place. To start off, all of the nail techs always seem to be in a hurry. They don't spend enough time on the manicure/pedicure and the clean out. They rush, even though there are no clients to rush to. In this rush, they have cut my mom's cuticles, to the point of bleeding. During the clean out of the cuticles and gel removal, my nail tech wasn't really focused, and went too rough on my nails. Had to tell him several times to be more GENTLE PLEASE. With the rush, once again, the color job itself turned out to be terrible. Not only, have they BLOBBED the polish so much that it ended up in layers under the nails, but they also managed to leave uncolored spots on the nails. The prices skyrocketed, even though we just got a regular color. It sucked. P.S- Oh and to people with fur allergies. They have a dog wandering around the salon and sitting EVERYWHERE. I love this place! I work next door at Trilogy Hair Studio, so the location is just perfect for me. I had very old Gel X extensions that needed to be removed and they were so so quick about it, while still being careful with my natural nail underneath. You can tell they are all extremely skilled at what they do. I had Nancy for my pedicure and she was great. Like I said, they're all very skilled and you can tell by the way they are very gentle, precise, and quick. Michael did my manicure and he asked what color I was wanting to do. I said I like dark colors and purple and he recommended the perfect shade for me. He showed me what it looked like and asked if i'd be willing to try it. Not a lot of places care to give you recommendations or check to see if you even like the color first. Overall, super happy with my experience. But now I will officially NEVER come back here again. I came in for a simple service, remove gel polish on toes and repolish with regular polish. We get to the repolish, I ask can I see how a nail polish looks first before deciding. She proceeds to paint all 5 toes on my left foot and asks do I like it. I ask can I see another coat on the big toe . She starts speaking (not in English) to the younger girl behind her , the younger girl says "it's a light color so it's not gonna get darker" I say I know, I just want to see what two coats will look like. She proceeds to tell me that they will CHARGE me if they put another coat and I decide I don't want it. I'm like excuse me? You charge by the coat? We go back and forth and another lady approaches. She says "well if you just wanted to see the color it should've been one toe". I say I'm not the one that told her to paint all my toes, I asked her to see the color and she polished my whole foot on her own. The old lady gets up and proceeds to talk angrily in their language and starts aggressively packing her things being very unprofessional , the Second Lady I spoke to ended up finishing my toes. She tried to lighten the mood by making small talk but I was already very pissed at the behavior of the old lady. When we walked into Sugar Nails, we were instantly greeted by arguing. Hesitantly, we walked in for our gel appointment. I took my sisters to get their nails done, and they wanted to pick out colors. The women were arguing and making a fuss. None of them knew how to do French tips, and none of them knew how to do a simple design. When one of my sisters sat down to get her nails done, two of the ladies started arguing excessively. It was a very uncomfortable situation. One of the women asked me to fetch her nail colors. To make the situation worse, the women were all very rude to us. They were unprofessional and did a horrific job. The nail lady, funny enough named Karen, did blobs on one of my sister's nails for a French tip. When I said something to her, she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She didn't use a French tip brush, she used the regular nail polish brush and made a mess of her nails. On top of that, she cut her multiple times with a cuticle clipper. She tried to charge $65 for this. My other sister was getting French tips as well, and the lady caught her and made her bleed. She also said to another woman, that she didn't know how to do French tips. The ladies were fighting because none of them knew how to do French tips. After I said something to Karen about her terrible job, this guy named Eric did the French tip on one of the other girl's nails. There were three tables all open next to each other, but they decided to split up the girls. We asked for them all to be sat next to each other, and they said no. The reasoning? None. All the girls just got their nails done, but one of them was sitting in the mani-pedi chair. It made no sense. All the seats were open for about an hour. I shared looks with some of the other clients in the nail salon. They felt my pain. One of them even mouthed to me, "What the hell is going on." Two of my sisters used the same color and they charged us extra for the color. It made no sense. And then on top of all this craziness, one of the nail ladies started playing séance music??? We were horrified. I hope she didn't curse us. Overall, we are very disappointed by their low-quality service and the way they dealt with the situation. We were noticeably very upset and they didn't care or try to make the situation better. Please take your money somewhere else because this nail salon isn't worth it. read more

This is unfortunately another typical nail salon that will lie to you and say they can do a design and not execute. Then proceed to get mad at you because they can't do the design. I had a terrible experience I came in with a picture of what I wanted and let them know if you can't do this I have a simpler design. I told them it wasn't able to be used during the pandemic and then I had moved away, and I didn't even think to look at the fine print for an expiration date because since when do gift cards expire? The main issue for me is the negative vibe these technicians give off. The salon is small & not very clean, plus the gel drying machines are filthy dirty. Nope problem waiting for beauty service. Good thing takes time ! It also fun when u give yourself a little break while keeping running from place to place. Finally, I got in after 15 mins waiting and spoke with my technician about my idea design. She was very sweet n doing really detailed work on my nails. The design come out pretty cool which is worthy for me to even wait more than 15 mins. I got so many compliments on my nails, and it lasted on my nails for 3 weeks or even more. That is such a long time that I havent had before. I got gel mani and gel pedi for $62 without design, and she also gave me a little apologizing discount for being late on my appointment. Great ! ! I have been back here several time, and they still doing an amazing job on my nails. Sweet talk n careful job. The girl doing design has a tight busy schedule. She is a high demand technician. So then, whenever I caught her, I would get design definitely. Generally, I have been so many nails salon before, they are all good doing their job as long as you let them know how you expect them to work on your nails in advance. Positives: I will start by saying that my nails look great. It's exactly what I asked for and the price was unbeatable ($40 for a gel mani and regular pedi? Whaaaaaat??). It's a cute little shop and parking was very easy to find. They were speedy and efficient and, again, I'm very happy with how my nails look. Great bang for your buck. Negatives: BUT... and it's a big but... the customer service is abysmal. The staff was not very friendly save for a few employees. The man on the phone was super rude to me as I set up the appointment. On the phone, it was suggested to me to bring cash for the tip. I had asked for a 2:45 appointment, but they insisted I rush to make it at 2:30. I didn't have time to stop by an ATM to get money for tip, but I figured it would be okay. Boy was I wrong. The man at the front desk, the same one on the phone, shouted at me for not bringing cash. I asked if I could do it on my card and he said no. Then another employee approached and said that I could, but that it would take a percentage away from them. Finally the man at the desk begrudgingly agreed to let me tip with a card. I typically tip 30%+ when I get my nails done, but because he was so aggressive and rude, I only tipped 20, which is very unlike me. It's really a bummer. I'd rate my nails 5 stars, but the customer service needs major improvement. However, the price was great and I'm happy with the end result. I'm growing my nails and they were really damaged prior. They are still short-ish. I also have small nails period. The woman doing my manicure complained about my short nails the whole time. Then she blamed the crappy polish job on my nail length! There was polish all over my cuticles, lumps and thickness through and she didn't bother to fix it. When I complained, another woman came over to try to fix it. I just opted for clear since my short nails were going to be such a problem for colored polish. I think the polish was old and the woman doing my nails was lazy. Period. I still paid and tipped. I was not rude. I find it so demeaning when nail techs talk about you in a language you clearly don't speak and gesture towards you. It's a really crappy feeling. Needless to say, I won't be back. read more
