The menu is incredibly abundant and you really get your money's worth with their generous portions and fair prices. I tried the Spanish latte, which was good, though I personally think it could have been a bit stronger. For food, the Eggs Salmone is a must. It's just yummy, especially with those perfect runny yolks. While it definitely gets busy on the weekends, the line moves quickly so you aren't waiting forever. Plus having plenty of parking in the back makes the whole experience way less stressful. It's a solid go-to spot :) read more

I absolutely love coming here. I feel lucky when the lines short. As I waited in line I browsed their loose tea and grabbed a jar of Moroccan mint. My daughter ordered the Amazon sunshine smoothie, a chicken soup and I have the caravan kale salad. The smoothie is fine, not particularly special. The chicken soup is good. The bread is a tad hard. My kale salad is ok. Just a tad too much salad dressing and too acidic for taste. It's quite pricing at $19.50 without any protein. Had this cafe in my list for a long time and I was able to take my wife here on Valentines Day. We arrived around 10 AM and there was already a line outside the cafe. This cafe is a order then find a seat type cafe and to be honest, I kind of like it. We waited around 30 minutes before it was our turn to place our order. The vibe here is quite nice as well, outdoor seating is spacious and all around, while inside is a bit cramped seating wise. The ceiling is quite tall so occasionally, you'll find yourself looking up to see the decorations, quite the brunch vibe overall. Parking here is a bit non existent? You either park on the street or you find a paid parking lot, pretty standard around Pasadena. The menu here is extensive, which ironically is good in a way that the line is long...sorta. However, my wife and I already decided beforehand what we wanted to order. --WHAT WE ORDERED-- -- Prosciutto & Cheese Breakfast Panini -- ($14.95) One of their featured menu items, this panini is one of the most decorated around. The presentation is spectacular, making it a amazing dish for a perfect picture. Onto the dish itself, it's quite flavorful. Usually with panini, everything falls apart if not made well, but this one is quite steady. Each bite was delicious in its own way, and not one bite left out any flavor from the ingredients inside, very well balanced. It's filled with eggs, peppers, mozzarella cheese, and some prosciutto di parma which is Italian ham, very well made, and highly recommend. -- The Italian Omelet -- ($17.50) I'm a sucker for omelet dishes and this is no different. I find myself with another amazingly presented dish, although it's just a omelet, this one is filled with chicken basil sausages which is different from your usual taste of sausages. Combined with roasted peppers, tomatoes, fresh basil and some mozzarella cheese, it was quite the taste. You have the spikey flavor of the chicken sausages as well as the melting taste of the eggs, it was amazing. I would get this dish again the next time I visit because it was so delicious. 10/10 -- Famous Pecan Sticky Bun -- ($6.50) Well, I'd be amazed but this dessert dish is one I would call, ADDICTING. Sweet, sticky, crunchy, and texture is great. Although it's a sweet dish, it's not too overwhelming and sweet. I believe the pecan balances the taste very well to not make it entirely too sweet. A perfect sweet chewy treat after your main entrees. 9/10 Overall, a wonderful brunch spot, although it's quite busy more often then not, the vibes are great especially on a day where it's not too cold nor too hot. Service here isn't really anything special since they don't check on you for anything. It's more of a cafe where people just hangout, eat, and even see some people on their laptops here. However, staff here is quite fast as they walk around looking for number stands to provide you with your order if you decide to dine in. Went here with a friend- she got the monkey granita with espresso but there were so many options. For people who like the banana taste, this is the one to get. I got the rising sun matcha latte which was soooo pretty and yummy. It has matcha and espresso so it's a light caffeine boost. A brunch staple! This place has a huge menu of breakfast, lunch, and drink items. It can be a little overwhelming trying to decide since everything on their menu sounds good. I usually opt for one of their paninis or pizzas. Decided to try their omelette panini for a late breakfast/early lunch. One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've had! There was a full on omelette in this panini; egg, sausage, bell peppers, jalapeno, cheese, and crispy sourdough bread. Side salad with baby spinach, tomatoes, pecans and olives add a nice fresh touch to the meal. I went with their iced Spanish latte as well which tasted like quality espresso. I ordered it half sweet and it was the perfect level for me. Only minor downside is this place gets packed during peak hours, I think the staff tries to clean each table between guests but since it's so busy, a lot of the open tables were still a little dirty or wet (ours had whipped cream on the edge of the table and water everywhere, even the chair was a little damp). read more

The set up is that you order at the counter first, and if it's a to-go item, you wait outside in the back for them to bring it out. There's additional seating in a room in the back that looked cozy, otherwise even at night, this place is still good to sit outdoors. They have such a great selection of teas that I had no idea there is a separate menu for tea alone. With the wonderful help from the staff, here's what I got: HOT TEA (large) - GRATEFUL HEART - $4.95 A gratifying blend of South African rooibos, orange, and ginger combined with fragrant flower petals from around the world. I feel so bummed to have to update my previous good review to a bad one since this has been one of my favorite brunch spots for many years. I ordered UberEats and it took an hour to arrive (which wasn't a big deal since it's raining). I ordered a Strawberry Matcha ($9.89) and it was the and most disappointing and expensive strawberry matcha I've ever had. There was zero matcha flavor and it literally tasted like a strawberry jam drink. Definitely don't recommend! The Huevos Rancheros Pizza ($19.29) was very dry and cold. I requested the eggs to be poached and I received a well done hard boiled egg. I've ordered this plenty of times (take-out and at the restaurant) and I've never had this happen before. The quality has definitely gone downhill and they obviously didn't follow my instructions. Urrh Caffe has really solid food--everything tastes fresh and our drinks and meals came out perfect. That said, the seating situation could use some work. We came on a Saturday around 9 a.m. and waited about 15-30 minutes just to order. By the time we got our number, all the tables were already taken by people saving seats before ordering, so we had to wait for someone to leave. It's never fun hovering and watching other diners to see if they're almost done. Clearer guidance on seating would make a big difference. Parking is available on the street, with a paid lot nearby as well. The seating is metal tables and chairs, which can be pretty cold on chilly mornings--definitely bring a sweater or something to sit on. There are heaters overhead and standing heaters, which help. Saturday lunch time and it's packed but reasonably packed. Finding parking is the biggest challenge, most parking is up to an hour or a walk from the cafe. Luckily, we made it to about an hour so we didn't have to worry about parking tickets. But if the line was any longer, we wouldn't have made it! The line had roughly 15 people ahead of us, took 10 minutes, I was able to find a table and my friend waited in line and ordered for us both. The place was busy and had people waiting for orders. We ordered cilantro chicken with salad and a chocolate cake. We also ordered two iced latte (sugar free) which you can ask for no sugar free vanilla syrup since that was a dollar extra (you can also sub milk with almond milk for a dollar extra). We got our number and waited at the table. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was a little longer than expected, some sandwiches came before us and those were ordered after us. The bus times really show, the drinks took 10 minutes longer than the food. Since we ordered salads, it was ok for us to quickly eat and we did have to rush out once our 1 hour was up so we packed the drinks, bread and cake to go. They had cups for us to grab and we asked for boxes and a bag. Overall, it was still a rushed lunch, I still thought the salad was good, especially the pesto sauce. I dipped everything in that pesto and wish I could have more! The cake was actually only ok, I think it was a bit too dry so the frosting was a must to get that chocolatey bite. The latte was good, very strong espresso flavor and if you need more milk you can add some more where the cups are located. I think I enjoyed the ambiance a lot and it made up for the long wait. The decorations on their walls was beautiful and entertained my toddler as well, he asked what they were and I had to tell him they were coffee and tea drinks which he can't have but he did have some cake and chicken! read more

Super cute and beautiful coffee shop. Absolutely enjoyed their apple pie, I can tell it was super bad for me, It was so good!! Their Italian cappuccino was spot on, not overly sweet with good cinnamon flavor. However, the other two items we got did not taste anything as described. Their rose matcha tasted like a basic Matcha latte, and their Spanish latte tasted like a plain vanilla latte. I don't understand what was so unique about it. Line out the door. We looked at online ordering options and that would've taken 40 mins, so we decided to wait in the line. An hour later, we finally put our orders in. My hot latte that I ordered is cold. I'm not impressed. Quite frankly, I'm disappointed. I know it's quite busy, but it looks like they only had one person making the lattes and the drinks must have been sitting there for a while. I also don't like that. In an open area, with flies swarming around? Why do they get to drink my drink before me? Would I give it another chance? Nope. It's overhyped and plenty of other cafes to try out in the area. I got a $30 salad (literally!!) where more than 20% of the pieces of lettuce were clearly in fresh (clearly bad, slimy, translucent due to being old). It was impossible to eat without gagging. Came here around 8pm. Got the rose matcha latte for togo. The drink comes out super hot but the cup felt super light. It felt like it was a small amount of liquid but alot of froth. But i loved the drink. It tasted like fruity pebbles. But i wouldnt recommend getting this drink at night unless you can sleep with caffeine intake. I wasnt able to sleep until 6am. Would get again in the morning or lunch tine. Ordering was fast. You have to wait in line to order then if you want baked goods, you can obly choose the ones they have on display otherwise its most likely sold out. Drinks took a little longer if they have a lot to make. It was also raining and i was surprised people were still outside drinking and eating. 11/19/25 First time dining here & I instantly knew that I will be loyal to the location in Laguna Beach. Thankfully parking wasn't an issue on a random Wednesday lunch time. I didn't know there were 2 areas to order, the front or main & then the back near the parking lot. It was a shorter line & I said it's for dining but I dunno why the cashier placed it as a to go. So I ended up waiting for my name to be called for my order instead of sitting down at our table. That was uncomfortable & annoying because it took a while for my order to be ready. Since our hotel is right across Urth Caffe last week, i decided to try it. They have a nice Mediterranean style cafe with lndoor and outdoor seating but during peak hours it's still not enough. I liked that they have the option of half a sandwich which also comes with a salad. I tried the Tuna sandwich and it was good. I ordered take out. The line wasn't too long and they were fast in taking orders. The only downside was the croissant i ordered was not in my take out bag, good thing my hotel is close by so i went back to the store. I also tried their Roasted Turkey Panini and it was also good. For drinks i tried their Cafe Mocha Granita and i also liked it as its not too sweet. No tray and no help. Then, for coffee, my mom and I had to walk back to the front of the cafe to get basic creamer and sugar. By the time we walked back to our table the coffees were cold. Much better service and coffee at a Denny's. Then when our omelets arrived, they were cold and the shredded cheese on top wasn't even fully melted. Another early court morning... and then a well-deserved brunch with colleagues at Urth Caffé. I've heard so much about this place, so I finally went for the Salmon Benedict, grapefruit with cottage cheese, and of course coffee -- you can't skip coffee here. The food? Honestly fantastic. The salmon was fresh and buttery, the brioche was soft inside with a little crisp outside, and that Hollandaise with pomegranate on top is a brilliant idea. I could easily give the kitchen 5 stars -- they did their part perfectly. But service is the reason this visit becomes 4 stars. First, tables weren't being cleared for way too long. There were at least ten dirty tables sitting full of dishes, and nothing happened until I asked two different employees to clean one for us. Second -- everything came out almost at the same time. My grapefruit was great, but by the time I got to the Benedict, the eggs had already gone cold. Not the end of the world, but you can feel that the kitchen actually tried... so it's sad to lose that fresh, warm moment. There was also a small mix-up with my order: I added extra cottage cheese, it didn't arrive, and the server said it wasn't on the check. Then he brought it anyway, as a courtesy -- which was nice. Fifteen minutes later he came back, apologized, and admitted it was on the order and they made a mistake. That honesty earned respect. No excuses, no arguing -- just a real apology. That matters. At the end of the day, this place is still great. Food is solid, atmosphere is beautiful, and I'll definitely be back. Hopefully next time they'll match the kitchen's level with quicker cleaning and smoother service. read more

But the tomato soup was sooooooooo salty and goopy thick, and not hot...it was nearly ineatable, it was so salty...I know it's very subjective, but seriously this was like a whole salt shaker salty. I asked for French pressed coffee, but it was served instantly, so it wasn't freshly pressed. Hm, but it was strong and hot so that was good. Urth Caffe in Pasadena is a community favorite! Every time I come here, they are super busy especially for breakfast and lunch. I've only been here two or three times including my most recent visit. For work lunch a couple weeks ago, I chose their Pizza Primavera. I thought it would be a light pizza. Nothing is light on this pizza. It is packed with tons of great ingredients... pesto marinated asparagus, potatoes, yellow squash, sugar plum tomatoes, Kalamata olives, and Treviso. From what I read, it is on a vegan pizza crust with vegan Monterey jack cheese and topped with grilled artichoke hearts, basil flower, and peperonata sauce. Sounds so delicious! We went on a Saturday morning for brunch. While the line to order food was out the door, the wait staff and order takers were very expeditious and efficient. They have beautiful displays of their desserts in the front counters. The restaurant flows through indoor and outdoor spaces, with plenty of tables and seating to accommodate customers even during busy times. We ordered the Caravan kale salad with their pomegranate vinaigrette, but their dressing just tasted like a regular balsamic vinaigrette. Otherwise, the salad was fine, but nothing spectacular. The breakfast burrito with pancetta was supposed to come with a chipotle sauce, but the condiment was mixed with a tomato sauce that should have gone to one of our other orders (prosciutto and cheese panini). When we asked for the replacement sauce, they still brought out the wrong one and we just gave up at that point. There was nothing outstanding about any of the food, but there was also nothing wrong with the dishes themselves, just very average taste. The marguerita pizza that we ordered wasn't that great. The crust was hard and the cheese tasted very processed instead of like fresh mozzarella. Not a good item to order. The tiramisu cake was very pretty, but the taste was once again, very average.
