Locked out of our apartment this late Sunday morning. From the moment we got locked out to us getting back into our apartment, was a total of 45 minutes. The customer service was excellent, which I wouldn't expect from a locksmith. The net cost was $250 and was accepted via Venmo. Thank you! read more

Fast to respond and show up. Did a professional job on a door lock for us. Knows his stuff.

Arrived in 10 minutes and opened the door quickly. Well priced for an emergency service.

Amazing service! They came within ten minutes on New Year's Day when we were accidentally locked out. A little expensive but that's to be expected for an emergency service. read more

I can't recommend them off the price. Dude showed up and used his fingers to pop up my door, charged me 225. Felt like quick scam. Call family/friends/landlord before you call them. read more

Al was efficient, knowledgeable and timely. He did a great job installing a smart lock and customizing it so that it could fit the door. read more

While looking at their website, I found this price: House Lockout $85-$185. Which leaves me wondering why I was charged $250 for less than ten minutes of work. read more

Al and his team are amazing. I've worked with them over the last few years to change locks, and to make additional keys. They are responsive, respectful and thoughtful, and I recommend them wholeheartedly. read more

Urgent Locksmith - Keys & Locksmiths Near Me - Brooklyn, New York

Al installed four new high security deadbolts with two of them being smart locks. he went above and beyond taking the time to drill through a very stubborn door and remove and reinstall some window bars. the job was definitely not cheap, but i cannot recommend Urgent Locksmith enough. Al is extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer all questions. thumbs up. read more

I called them, they lied about being available, then they acted like I was a brat for calling them over an hour later and asking where they were. They then said that their previous estimate was obviously false, as they are locksmiths in NYC and can say anything they want. I was the idiot for taking them at their word. I suppose the moral of the story is that you're an idiot to trust what this company tells you. Good thing one of my fellow tenants walked out for a smoke and took pity on me, forty-five minutes later. Unlike this company, I called them to tell them my true status: I was safely inside my building and they needn't bother showing up. They did, perhaps an hour later. Maybe I should be complimented that this company eventually remembered that I existed. So I exist! And this company is to thank for my philosophical essays I shall title, "The Leviathan." - xoxo, J.H. read more

I have used Urgent Locksmith twice now and I can't say enough positive things about them. I had two locks that needed to be replaced (b/c they were cheap) and Al resolved the issues for me. He's nice, prompt, efficient and explains everything to you when you have questions. The prices are fair and there are no hidden costs/fees either. His work is guaranteed. If you need a locksmith, contact Al! read more

These guys were great! My mother in law needed a new deadbolt and doorknob fast. He had the job done quickly and showed up in all the necessary PPE for covid. Pricing was fair and he explained everything. I'm Very happy with the service read more

Fast, friendly and very helpful. We'll definitely use Urgent again. Thank you! I was locked out of my new home. They got to me within 10 minutes, opened my doors and changed the locks. And all so fast!! We will go to them again when we need to. read more

Al Naamati helped me to get into my apartment after I lost my bag containing my keys, among other vital things. Al was wonderful from start to finish. I called him at 8:40 am on a Sunday morning. He answered right away and told me that he would be at my apartment in 25 minutes. He arrived exactly within 25 minutes and was friendly and kind. Within minutes, he was able to drill open and replace my lock. He gave me a very reasonable price, exactly what he'd quoted me over the phone for the drilling and a little less for what he'd estimated for the replacement lock. I was able to pay via Venmo, very important given that I also lost my wallet. I was shaken by the experience of losing my bag and Al didn't just get me into my apartment; he offered comfort, kindness, calm, and a positive, friendly demeanor in the midst of a stressful situation. I couldn't recommend Urgent Locksmith more! read more

Overdue review - Hands down the best locksmith in town. Fast, reliable, and patient. Called about lost keys and I felt unsafe. Al came in late hours to change the lock and made me feel comfortable and safe. I ended up changing the entire lock, not just the cylinder for more secure protection from tampering. Thanks again for your 10 star service. Will use again whenever I need anything with locks. read more

First off I think it's important to mention that Al is a truly hardworking and honest individual. In a world where reviews and word of mouth make or break your business, Al is doing it the right way. I needed a cylinder changed in a lock and looked to Yelp and HomeAdvisor for one nearby. Urgent Locksmith appeared in the top 5 listings near me. I figured I'd just pick one and hope I get someone who knows what they're doing and is fair. I definitely picked the right locksmith. I called Urgent Locksmith... Al answers all his calls and if busy, kindly let's you know that he will return your call as soon as he can. When he called back, I explained what I needed and Al gave me his quote. The price seemed fair and I needed this cylinder replaced so I didn't bother calling anyone else. Al was able to come down within 1-1.5 hrs. so that was perfect. As he was doing his thing, we were chatting and I was asking him about other locks and getting his opinion and suggestions on deadbolts. He was quite knowledgeable and a pleasant guy to chat with in general. A number of times as he worked we'd take a walk out to his car and he'd show me various locks and answer questions I had about them. Never any pressure. In fact, he tried to talk me out of getting something I didn't even need. It was actually ok to ask questions and get his suggestions! Anyway, once he completed the installation, I paid him and we continued chatting for another 30 mins. He was genuinely a decent human being. Fast forward about 1.5/2 weeks later; I purchase a deadbolt and needed to have it installed. I didn't hesitate to call Al back. He was pretty busy that day but made time later in the evening to come by and install my lock. Once again, he did a great job and was a pleasure to deal with. If anyone requires the services of a locksmith, I highly recommend you give Urgent Locksmith a call. Just knowing that you're dealing with an honest, pleasant, hardworking professional should be reason enough. If I require a locksmith's services in the future or know someone who will, I will call/recommend Al without a doubt. read more

I love a sunny summer day but I didn't want to literally get stuck outside . My lock had no prior issues but decided to break today. ‍ I called, Urgent was able to fix, got here in 30 mins with friendly service, for a decent price, and went over the best security lock options for me. No upsell, I'm happy with the service. Also, multiple payment options (if you happen to lose your purse & your key lol) read more

This guy is great. Although he didn't do the automotive programming details I needed he happily explained and recommended someone else. Super friendly and professional. I know others that have used his services too and they were happy. Locksmiths do important work but they often have you by the balls, especially in an emergency, so they can be a special breed you hate to encounter. This guy here is an honest reasonable guy, local small business, family man, veteran. Give him your business and tell him I sent you. You'll be glad you did. read more

EXTREMELY NICE. Here before schedule extremely thorough and came to my rescue on a holiday weekend !

Had a deadbolt lock that wouldn't open and did a search for locksmiths in the area. Al was the first one to respond with a call and quote. He came within the hour on a non urgent call and was totally prepared for my problem lock. Removed the old lock and installed a brand new one and he was done in less than half an hour. Friendly and courteous (and masked for Covid compliancy!), I highly recommend Al and Urgent Locksmith for your locksmith needs. read more

Al helped us change and install some locks in a new apartment. He was very easy to reach, responded quickly, and had great ideas about the best locks to use. He was on time, professional, and stuck to his word about pricing. Overall flawless experience and we'd use him again! In addition, this was during the COVID-19 pandemic and he was great with PPE, distancing, etc. read more

Al is an excellent locksmith! Very professional, drove an hour from Brooklyn to our place; very friendly and pleasant guy. After understanding our requirements he was very quick - he got rid of the existing locks, installed the new ones, let us test them out, sent us the invoice and was done. It must have taken him around 10 mins to get done with the whole thing. He even took care of a problem with one of the other existing locks and didn't ask for any extra charge. He also gave me a guarantee if anything were to happen to his locks I should give him a call and would take care of the problem. He is definitely my go-to guy! read more

I just moved into a new apartment and wanted to replace the high-security lock that was installed by the previous tenant. Al provided me with all the information I needed to understand the different lock options he could provide and the price for each. He worked around my hectic schedule as I was moving in and was competitive with the price. He was very friendly and polite. I highly recommend and will definitely use Urgent Locksmith for anything else I may need. read more

When I called they came within the hour to fix my door lock...they took care of it super fast. Quick and professional!

I found this locksmith very misleading. He said that our lock could not be rekeyed and offered to replace it for $350. I realized that I would need another estimate. A different locksmith, rekeyed the lock for $125. And it works well. read more

I highly recommend Urgent Locksmith! Everyone I spoke to was incredibly responsive and professional. Al is a true pro - thanks again!

Give this man a cape because he surely saved the day! Our building had a broken buzzer on a Sunday. Who do you call? Urgent Locksmith!!! Sounds cheesy but I'm speaking the truth. I didn't want to leave the front door at risk, Assa responded quickly and was very friendly. He told me what the issue was and stood by the price quote. The job was finished in no time. My mother locked herself out of the house while throwing out the garbage. She was in the cold with no coat and only wearing house slippers. She called me in a panic. I called Urgent Locksmith and Al was there in 10 minutes. He offered my mother his coat and was really wonderful to her. He got her back in the house and had a new lock installed quickly. The fee for all this was extremely reasonable too. I would recommend Urgent Locksmith to anyone. read more

Al, the owner and locksmith, who installed my new lock was prompt and responsive to all my questions. My husband and I decided to upgrade our locks to a multi lock keypad. With Ap's experience and expertise, he found us the best lock, the Schlage encode. I absolutely love having the use of a keypad, a key if necessary and the ability to assign separate codes to any guests . Al also was great at explaining how the lock worked and helped me connect it to my home WiFi. I'm so happy to have a local locksmith that is reliable, trustworthy and responsive to my questions. I will definitely use his services again and recommend his company to any friends. read more

Quick replies and does the job very professionally. The quoted price was the amount I paid, unlike other locksmiths who'll quote you the starting price then charge extra once the job is done. Al will be my go to locksmith. Nice guy, no frills. read more

Such an honest guy. After I locked myself out of my desk, I went searching around Yelp for a price quote to open it. Mind you, its a small desk lock, nothing major. He was the only person, out of the 15 people I contacted, that suggested I order a spare key online for $6. Everyone else wanted to charge me $150 to open it!! He could've totally taken my money and I wouldn't of had a clue. Very trustworthy! read more
