A life saver. Recently my mother (who lives in NYC while I am in NJ) locked herself out of her bedroom and it was after 7PM. The and her friend could not figure out a way to get back in (read: the screwdriver method was attempted) so they needed a professional. Enter Alex from Top Level Locksmith. Found via a Google search (with reviews on Yelp bolstering my confidence), I contacted Alex and within an hour of our initial contact he was at my mother's house opening the door. He was done in minutes and our transaction was all handled online. He stayed in contact and was super friendly the whole time. Given that I was dragging him out of his house after 7PM and he had to drive over, the rate was very reasonable. Would definitely use Top Level's services again! read more

Great service ! Excellent service! They were prompt, professional, and resolved my lock issue quickly and efficiently. Highly recommend for reliable and hassle-free locksmith services! read more

Broke immediately after fix, no refund or attempt to resolve issues. Top Level replaced two locks, on my front and vestibule doors, for $500. A year later, no one can get in the building. I reached out with a video and they quoted me $150 per lock to replace the cylinders they installed. They tried claiming the "keys were bad." What's more likely, 6 keys wore out at the same time? Or the lock they installed is broken? I can't say whether it was faulty equipment or poor installation services, but Top Level refused to even look at the issue without charging $150. Time to find a new locksmith. read more

Comically bad work. Actually made my door worse in the process. Drilled holes they didn't need to drill. Accidentally flipped around the knob and lock--and didn't change it until I pointed out that every other condo on in my building and on my block has them a certain way. At first, he tried to leave it like this, until I pushed back. Then he tried to charge me extra money to buy a new lock system. Once I pointed out that the knob should go on top and the lock on the bottom, he fixed it. But even then, it doesn't lock. Then I was told "It's my door." Wish I had never hired them, and I'd avoid them if you can. It's unfortunate because they seem nice, but the work itself leaves a lot to be desired. I will now have to bring out new people. read more

OMG, this was truly the best experience I've ever had with a locksmith. I left my keys and my buildings extra keys in my apt, ahhhh!! I priced shopped the area and Alex was hands down the best quote. He arrived in 30 minutes from my call, and even called me when he was close. He was so friendly and kind, and was able to get me in my apt in just a few minutes with no damage at all to my door. (he was very mindful of this when working, he's super meticulous) My doorman/super were also very impressed and will now be recommending him to all the residents in the building. He will be the only locksmith I use moving forward, and would 100% recommend him if you ever need one. Don't even bother calling anyone else. read more

I'm a business owner with a few locations in NYC and feel so lucky that I ended up working with Top Level / Alex when we needed to put in new locks on a new store. He was so responsive and clear and easy to work with, he has become our go-to locksmith. He has put in new deadbolts and also keypad locks in Queens and in Brooklyn locations and has also helped with a couple lock-out situations...he really cares about doing a good job, and over four or five calls I've grown to trust him--pricing is clear, communication is clear, his advice on which locks to get is simple and clear, and he is on time and friendly. I highly recommend Alex! read more

Alex came twice to our office; first time to provide a quote, and second time to perform the actual job. He's honest, professional, responsive, and punctual. Easy to set up an appointment; we've had no problem having him come over during the weekend and weeknight. The price is reasonable. He also respected our decision of picking a lower-priced option for what we need. Definitely a pleasant experience! read more

Fast and efficient. Appeared at the agreed time with everything needed to fix the job. It took 7 minutes. Takes square / credit cards. My only tip would be: don't ask your customer questions like, "are you going away on vacation?" after you just picked their lock. read more

Alex and his team are very speedy and very reliable. The first time I called them was in 2020, during the height of the pandemic, and they came through at midnight to help me. It was a very difficult job, it took them about 30 minutes since it was a very weirdly angled deadbolt, but we were very lucky that they managed to get it done without needing to break anything. Ever since that night, I've called them for every lock-related issue I had, and would highly recommend them to anyone. I've had friends and family call them about 10 times over the last 2 years for other lock/door issues they've had, and we're all incredibly grateful to have his number. They accept venmo too which is incredibly convenient, and they're very knowledgeable when it comes to anything lock related. read more

Alex came by to both my locations at Daveys Ice Cream and fixed my issues, at reasonable prices. Not to mention he also, was speedy and very understanding with my issue. My Williamsburg location was not closing all the way. So he trimmed down a piece of the door and put a new lock so it wouldn't slam or ruin the door frame. My east village location we had a lock over 5 years and he changed the whole lock and gave me 3 spare keys. He also put a door handle . Thanks again Alex, I'll be calling you for other location issues. read more

Alex was really honest and he gave us his professional opinion. He was quick to respond to all messages, and also gave the best quote in the area. We had a mortise lock replaced by him, and he even went out of his way to find a unit that better fit our door. He did drill a few holes, but it all worked out. Overall, I would highly recommend. read more

I was looking at local locksmith to come and replace two of my locks with higher security ones and some other small fixes. I've send a request for quote to 5 or 6 locksmiths that were highly rated on Yelp and looked legit, most of them responded withing 1 hour. I did next round of communications sending photos and asking for estimate and Top Level Locksmith was the one who was responding quickly and giving me convincing answers. After a quick phone call we've settled up on model for cylinders and color of the deadbolt and two hours later Alex was in my apartment working :-) Everything I've asked was done quickly and professionally (with a dose of creativity when required) so within an hour I had both my locks working fine like a Swiss watch :-) I can definitely recommend Alex (Oleksii) for that king of job and will use his services in the future should I need further improvements. read more
