HONEST CUSTOMER REVIEW. My apt lock lock to my apartment got deeply screwed up tonight (Saturday night) and I was scrambling to find a fix. Randomly started calling locksmiths and got some outrageous prices or calls went str8 to VM. Allen at Lehman Locksmith picked up and was kind enough to give me his cell number to send him a few pics and a quick video of what I was dealing with. He called me back within five minutes, diagnosed a temporary fix over the phone so that I could get in/out until he could come by and replace the freakin lock entirely. The guy and his service is absolute pure GOLD. This is a truly honest Brooklyn neighborhood mom n pop owned small business. I cannot recommend them enough. He saved me many hours amd stress and quite a bit of money... he's worth every single penny. Super honest, super smart guy. I cannot recommend him enough 10 out of 10 stars. Outrageously overpriced, 500 for a basic lookout during 2pm on a Friday. I would find any other locksmith for a lockout.

We hired this company almost a year ago and have been irritated ever since. They came to do the estimate in a timely manner and required upfront payment of almost $1000. Then it was pulling teeth to get them to show up to finish the install of locks in our bedroom and front external door. I had to call several times a day to get the guy Allen to show. Then whenever the guy shows, he just talks and talks and talks, including telling all these horror stories about break-ins, which seemed like an upsell tactic. And the work on the bedroom lock in particular was so poor and half assed (see photos) we've had to pay someone else to re-do it. Definitely go somewhere else! read more

This company was replacing a door immediately next to my place of business. I asked them early on to please do something to avoid their sawdust blowing into my bakery. Every time the door opens with customers coming in, I've got a cloud of sawdust blowing in my door. I asked nicely, twice, if they could please use measures to contain the dust ie: maybe plastic sheeting, or do their sawing away from my door out by the curb. The owner was extremely nasty. I called Lehman after losing a key. The locksmith told me that he had to replace two locks and quoted me the price for each. He pressured me to answer him quickly, and tried to upsell me to change another set of locks. When he came back to the apartment from the wholesale store, he replaced four locks, didn't explain the change to my husband and what I had expected to be a $400 bill became $762. Make sure you go over every aspect of the projected cost before starting work. read more

There are no hours posted on the front door. At all. The hours on the internet say 7 days a week, 9am-5pm. It's 10am on a Saturday and they're closed. Shutters down, lights off. Have no idea when they'll open, if at all. read more

I was happy with Allen's work and he's very nice but when he quoted me for the job he gave me the cost of the lock and told me it would be a $55 fee to come out but forgot to mention the $150 additional labor charge. This was a job I arranged for my boss and the unexpected charge on top of an already expensive product is now reflecting badly on my work. read more

This company is absolutely terrible! They ripped off my roommate and I because he took advantage of us being two young girls. After getting locked out of my apartment with no phone or anyone to call we called the locksmith from our neighbors flip phone and we couldn't get a connection but just kept repeating our address after finally getting some help the locksmith pulled up and we went to go talk to him because we wanted to cancel the service but had no way of letting him know even though we mentioned it on the phone. Next this man made me climb into his van and he told me terrible stories about his daughter being abused by her boyfriend and this was what I was hearing as he drove me to the bank and forced me to pull out $210 for canceling the service. This company is disgusting and I could never EVER recommend you call them. Don't even think about trying to cancel so just be aware of these people and stay safe guys! read more

Alan did a great job with my new locks - gave me some good suggestions as far as which locks really needed to be replaced and others that were not really necessary. Took his time which I think is important. In the past I have had locks changed and they often do a super quick job but sloppy - fit is not right and they just end up having to come back because lock sticks or wasn't installed correctly. read more

I looked them up on www.mul-t-lock.com. I needed to make a copy of a key and you have to present a card to go along with it in order to make a copy. I called in advance because I didn't want to waste any more time since I called other locations and they were either closed and not opening up until Monday or the other locations didn't have my specific key #248 in stock. When I called I spoke to Allen and he called over a female worker to check if they had the key before I went. He said yes come in we have it we are open until 4PM. I said thanks but I'm on my way now. I needed this copy for my business so I needed it done ASAP. I pulled up to the location double parked walked in said "Hi Allen it was me you spoke to over the phone" dropped off the key and card, and told him I was going to be right back I have to look for parking. He said that his worker was going to take care of it. I walk in after getting parking and grabbing a cup of coffee and a bagel across the street to buy some time to walk in and be told by a female worker that they didn't have my key. Its a small business and she was the only other person working there how can you not know whats going on. Then she asks me whats the key for an apartment? I didn't say anything but who cares what the key is for. I just left frustrated for wasting my time going there. I don't recommend this establishment. read more

The owner, Allen, assaulted me. I run a retail business across the street from this locksmith. In March 2015 we paid $210 to have our lock replaced by Allen who swore it was an excellent lock and wrote on the receipt that it was covered by a 10 year warranty. Today as a customer exited the door slammed, the lock engaged, and our employees were locked inside and our customers locked out. I called Lehman and was told it would be 20 minutes, but it was in fact an hour before they arrived. I can live with that. However, when he handed me the bill this time for $180 I showed him the receipt with the 10 year warranty. He said since I didn't oil the lock monthly that it was my fault. I told him I was never told to oil the lock, that I've never oiled any of my door locks, that it had only been 9 months since the lock failed and that it was unacceptable for him not to honor the warranty. He said it was common sense to oil the lock. He demanded payment immediately. I refused to pay him on the spot adding that he would be paid, but not until later. I told him to leave my store at which point he shoved me and said "you think you're a wise guy?". He then called the police. When they arrived I explained what happened and Allen left without being paid. I will NEVER use this guy again. read more

Do not go here. They will try to rip you off. They sold us a $20 basic sled which cracked and broke the first time my 30 lb 6 year old sat on it. We tried to return it and the woman at the desk started screaming and tried to lock us in the store! She refused to let us have a new sled even though it probably cost them $4 to get these in bulk. We then called the manager who also refused, saying they couldn't return it. THEN, the screaming lady followed us out the door and began screaming at us down the street.
