I called today and spoke with Randy. After I sent him pictures of the lock which needed replacement, he confirmed the price and gave me an estimated time of arrival. Randy arrived several hours later as he said that he would and completed the job in 15 minutes. Very professional, very pleasant. I will use this business again, when necessary. read more

Wanted to change the access after taking over a new property. Instead of replacing all the heavy hardware on the exterior doors, the tech rekeyed four existing deadbolts to work on one single master key. He swapped out the internal pins, cut us a fresh set of duplicate keys on-site, and checked that every latch clicked firmly shut. The whole setup operates smoothly and feels much more secure. read more

This morning my tenant couldn't secure the door as he left for work - the whole mechanism was shot. I called for service and was greeted warmly on the phone. Justin came by with all the tools and parts he needed after I sent him a video of the faulty bolt lock. Everything was replaced in a timely manner and all is working like new - as it's an historic house with a century old door, he even compensated for slight misalignment so that the mechanism worked smoothly. Excellent job and top rate company read more

We hired Kings Locksmith to replace one lock on our exterior door and add one additional lock on a different interior door. The exterior door lock we replaced on February 26 was no longer locking after less than 4 months so I called them first thing this morning for an emergency repair. Calls were clearly being routed to an answering service and I received one call back saying they would have someone call me within 5 minutes. This song and dance went on for two hours before I called another company for what was obviously an emergency. The long and short of it is they were non responsive to an emergency on an installation they did less than four months ago. We called Max's Locksmith and they were there within the hour to save the day. Use them instead. read more

Right over Labor Day weekend, my door's inner spring mechanism broke, which caused a huge headache. I reached out to King's Locksmith and they were able to make it over within 2 hours. Randy was awesome! So friendly, professional, and prompt. The entire lock needed to be replaced, but the price was great, even when extra drilling was needed. Thanks Randy and King's locksmith! read more

I can't say enough about King's Locksmith. I called and spoke with Randy, the owner, around 1:45p, and explained the situation. He said give them a few minutes and a technician would call me back to advise when they would be by. Randy was true to his word; within 20 minutes, the tech called to say he had another call and would arrive by 4:30p. Again, true to his word. Greg surveyed the situation, told me what needed to be done and by 5:15p, my issue was resolved. I couldn't be happier! If you're looking for reliable, true to their word company, then look no further; King's is the best!!! read more

1) used to have key copies made here before pandemic and they did amazing job. was devastated they closed the old shop. 2) finally had the opportunity to use their locksmith services for a broken mortise lock on my apartment. not a fun situation but they sent Tom who did a great job, worked around some particular issues with my apartment door having been shoddily installed, and made it all work. Fair prices based on the complexity of the job, the evening hour, and what friends told me they've spent on smaller jobs. Highly recommend!! read more

Actually the best of the best in city. I needed to replace mortise locks. Sending photos and a video after phone call, he gave me an estimate quickly. He was very nice, honest and knowledgeable. The work was done perfectly. I will call him again if having a lock issue in the future. read more

After making me wait for the locksmith forever they did not even have the lock I wanted. Instead of telling me right away they showed up with an inferior lock instead of just telling me they don't have what I wanted so I could call someone else. The three stars are because at least they were friendly while they were bringing it and making me wait. read more

What a bunch of crooks !!! Told me it was $20 dollars to come out. Then the guy gets there opens up the car and says that will be $120 dollars. Never told me how much it would of been before he opened it. I feel very taken advantage of. read more

Excellent service. Randy just completed a job on door today and was completely transparent with pricing and showed up exactly when he said he would. Let's be honest, calling a locksmith is never fun. But working with Randy @ Kings was an actual pleasure. Dude was on time, personable and got sh*t done. I love that he's a local guy with a family business. He lives in the area and has been here for decades. This is what a small business experience should be like. I'm looking forward to seeing him on the street soon and buying him a coffee. read more

They've saved me twice. I like to forget my keys when I leave the house. It's kinda my thing. Today, they were closed and opened up for me and made me a key. Can you please help me understand the pricing of your locksmith? We just locked ourselves out of our apartment and called one of your technicians to come out to help. We waited for about 45 minutes, as we totally understand that Sunday has a lot of traffic. When he arrived, he was very nice. He literally opened the door in 5 seconds with a credit card. When we asked him the price he said it was $170. I understand that he had to come out here, and the base to come out was $45 dollars. But I just need a little help understanding the price being so expensive for unlocking the door with a credit card. Thank you! read more

This review is for their locksmith services. I got locked out of my place yesterday and well, had to call a locksmith. These guys (from the looks of it) had great reviews. The phone call I placed was answered very professionally. The guy who said he'd call the technician to call me back did his job. Then the technician called, his name Eden, like the garden of Eden. (great name!) He, too, was very professional over the phone. Said they've been a family run business for 30+ years and mentioned they provided a free quote, and overall sounded like they'd be no pressure. This sounds like the beginning of a great date, right? Sadly, upon showing up he inspected my door for maybe a little under 15 seconds. Quoted me almost $200 which sadly, I couldn't afford right then and there. He said, if you pay cash we can work out a deal ($120). WHOA! OK? Since it turned out I had a friend who said she might have an additional spare key after all, I mentioned to him if it had to be my last resort, I'd call him back. He then says, "I'm not going to come back! I'm not going to come back!" so I replied, "That's fine!' Then, he angrily mutters under his breath as he walks away -- "You should have told me earlier!" I thought that's what the quote was for: to decide if I want/ can afford the service? Doors and locks vary right? He wanted to drill into my door, sell me a new lock, install a new lock and all that was something I wasn't prepared to do - yet. Like Viola L before me (check out the "not recommended reviews because her review is "hidden" for some shady reason), I was stunned with their attitude and ultimately also had quite the unsavory experience. At the end of the day, a family business doesn't always mean they'll be understanding or nice. And I get that they don't want to come out and not have a job to do, but then maybe they should charge for an estimate instead of harassing you in person to let them do it. If you're desperate, call them and be ready to pay a lower fee in cash. I wasn't that desperate. Maybe next time I need a locksmith, I'll be desperate enough to call a shady provider like this one. #nothanks read more

Best locksmiths which have unbeatable prices. I don't ever regret coming or reaching out to them. They definitely get the job done for you.

The owner is super nice and knows his stuff. Once I was locked out and he helped me for free and saved my life. Do I really need to say more. Even if he can't help or doesn't have it , he will point you in the right direction. Also, he's always sweeping. I like a cleanliness minded business owner :) read more

Without going into the painful details, I'll just say that I needed three different locks removed and replaced. Randy was an absolute pro: a good communicator and all around nice guy who's also great at what he does. I'm 100% pleased with his workmanship and professionalism, and also glad to support a great local, independently owned business. During COVID the storefront isn't open, but all you need to do is call the main #. The recording lists Randy's cell #, and he's very quick to respond. He laughed when I said, "You're amazing, and I never want to see you again." "Yes," he replied. "We hear that a lot." read more
