I only needed a mailbox lock replaced, so this wasn't an emergency or a residence lock, but All Star gave me a quote of minimum $160 while Safeway quoted me $75-80. Kings Locksmith is the best locksmith servicing the Brooklyn area. My tenant got locked inside of the apartment due to a failure in the mortise lock set, this prevented the latch from opening. I was finally able to get the door open on my own. I called Kings locksmith base on the reviews I read. Thank God the reviews are dead on. On my initial call I spoke with Randy he was very professional and seem genuinely concerned with my issue and said he would call me back soon as he located a technician. Sure enough within an hour he called to tell me the tech was at my door. When I first opened the door I was greeted by a very young man (Justin ID#K0218) and to be honest I didn't think he could handle the job. But when he got to work I noticed he was very dedicated, knowledgeable and determined to not leave until he conquer his task. The job appeared to be very complicated as I watched him dismantle and troubleshoot the lock set. After pinpointing the problem he proceeded to fix the mortise lock set and replace a worn cyclinder. What I appreciated the most is that he was honest and didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. When he told me the price for his services I could not believe my hears it was so reasonable. I've had locksmiths come to my home and didn't do half of what he did and charged over two times what I paid Kings Locksmith. Great job at a even greater value. Thanks Justin for repairing my lock. HIGHLY recommended locksmith If you are in need of locksmith services (repairing/installing locks; self-closing devices; electronic locks and security systems; etc.; etc.) I HIGHLY recommend Randy from King's Locksmith, (718) 576-9025. Second generation family owned business. We have a pre-war Crown Heights building with a heavy, solid old door that was no longer latching shut. We thought it was either the lock or the self-closer. I called Randy and he was there the same day. In our case it turned out it was the hinges. Randy actually ended up re-hanging the door and adjusting the hinges. Door works perfectly now. More importantly Randy's fee was totally reasonable and his communication was great. He texted progress updates (including videos and photos) through out the job and was a real pleasure to communicate with. I will definitely be using Randy and King's Locksmith for any jobs in the future (really want to support the older, local business. One caveat: King's is not a locksmith shop. Meaning they are not doing key copies at the storefront - this is for on-site locksmith work. Hope this is of some benefit to someone needing a locksmith. read more

I searched all over town to get these elevator keys made. Home Depot couldn't do it, Lowes couldn't do it, multiple different key makers either attempted to make it and failed or simply didn't have the right key or machinery and referred me somewhere else. I went to King's Locksmith and they had the machinery, they had the keys and were able to make the elevator keys for me. They were prompt and reasonably priced. Then I had a door knob that needed the lock flipped upside down and they were able to do that for me as well. Very pleased with their service and recommend them to everyone. -Cheyenne read more

I came home and had a trouble opening my front door. After about 20 minutes I was finally able to get in - but found that I could no longer lock the door from the inside. This was NOT something I wanted to deal with at 8:30pm after working a VERY long day. Thankfully -I called King's Locksmith, they picked up the phone immediately and arrived within minutes. Tommy instantly knew exactly what was causing the problem and got right to work. It was fixed within 10 minutes and now it even locks smoother than before! When I lived in Brooklyn I had some issues getting locked out my apt and when I went to Safeway I received Excellent service from these individuals who have been in business for many years. Beside their excellent service they have vast knowledge of Locksmithing that has been passed down through family. Got locked out my car with 3 kids price was awesome ! They certaintely saved the day and did a great quick job ... I waited no less then 30 minutes gave him my plate and the man paulie was already working on my car before I even came down the stairs all I know is I hope they travel everywhere being that I no longer live in Brooklyn because god bless them ! I highly recommend King's Locksmith for any lock-related issues. I had a broken key stuck in my lock and I tried to get it out myself, but I only made it worse. I called King's Locksmith and they were very friendly and helpful on the phone. They sent a technician over within 30 minutes and he was able to replace my lock in no time. Justin was great. He was able to accommodate my schedule with my crazy work hours and was able to fix my door in under 5 minutes. I am no longer having trouble getting into my apartment. We needed to replace our cylinder as our key would not unlock our door at times which would leave us locked out for a few minutes. I just had a lock installed by Randy over at Safeway Locksmith. This guy went way out of his way to help us. We needed a new lock installed right away, and he showed up within the hour, and had it all done in 15 minutes. They are really reasonable in price, and super nice! I would use them again.
