I called KL because my front door knob stopped working. I had gotten only my door knob replaced recently when a similar issue happened at a different locksmith but obviously that didn't do the whole trick. The technician from Key Locksmith who came out told me that it was because my entire mechanism was old and was probably never replaced in 30 years. I took a look at it when he uninstalled it and I was pretty horrified at how gross and old it was. I needed to have copies made of the key for my Mul-T-Lock deadbolt but it was not replicable by anyone other than the locksmith who had installed it, and he had gone out of business. I called two UES locksmiths with high ratings for a solution; one told me the entire deadbolt would have to be replaced and quoted me between $400 and $800. The second told me that only the cylinder would have to be replaced, but that it would cost $475. I then called Key Locksmiths, who confirmed that only the cylinder needed replacement and quoted the job at $225. I hired Key Locksmiths and they completed the job several hours later.
