Chipotle Bacon Shrimp pasta !

I'm never disappointed when I come to Urbano they always have such a friendly face and very helpful when it comes to menu! It's a hit every single time whether it's their spicy chicken, pastas or delicious shrimp, salmon, and steak! The food is perfection and I'm disappointed in these bad reviews been coming here every week and every every week I serve something delicious cooked perfection!

A great place to dine before going to the Gallo Center which is a block away. We had an amazing meal here! The Shrimp Bruschetta was so delicious. My husband really enjoyed the Ribeye with Gorgonzola and Mushrooms with mashed potatoes. I had the Salmon and Shrimp with roasted zucchini and red potatoes and lemon caper sauce. Loved it! Hats off to the chef! They have a bar. They could add more wine options though. They also have Jazz every other Monday.

This place hosts live music where they will charge their patrons $50 a ticket for you to go stand in a parking lot. No chairs no tables and if you want a table it was $250. Times for the groups that were going to be there all out of place so if they listed a group you wanted to see or listen to at 8 and they played at 3, you missed it. They hosted a live event on August 28 and it was shut down by Modesto Police Dept. They told us to go inside the restaurant after they had to shut down and that the live music would continue there, only to find out it was a private party where those from that private party were upset (rightfully so) but those people from the party didn't go about it the right way. They were mad at us, very disrespectful because we were invading their space BUT, the staff from Urbanos told us to go in and we didn't know what was going on so the party people should have taken it up with Urbanos staff and not us. Never again and hopefully my review will save some of you from making the mistake and trusting Urbanos either to host your personal party or any live events where they will be charging you any money. Very disappointed. We did not get our money back and they staff kept pushing it off acting like they were trying to do something about it when in fact they were not.

Really?! Crinkle - cut fries = frozen. LAME! And they were supposed to be garlic fries. Boo.

Waited forever for burnt, frozen food. I went with a group of 8 during the lunch hour today and Urbano was awful. **Reason #1: only 2 other parties were in the restaurant (one a party of 4, the other a party of 3) and it took them almost 15 minutes just to take our order. **Reason #2: it took another 30 minutes to even start to receive our food; which I had to get up and ask a server to put all of them into to go boxes because we had to get back to work. **Reason #3: BURNT BURGER! Not only was the Cajun Burger burnt but it was crumbly dry because it was SO overcooked and additional dryness because they forgot to put the Cajun mayonnaise on it. **Reason #4: crinkle-cut French fries. Don't get me wrong, I love them but when I go to a restaurant that looks as nice as this one and the burger and fries costs $10, I expect fresh made fries (it's not that hard). **Reason #5: I work only 5 short blocks away and I was still 15 minutes late coming back to work. (therefore I took a 75 minute lunch) If you happen to have a lunch break more than an hour than you will ONLY have to complain about the food. The other people in my party ordered salads and/or pastas. And the salads were overpriced for the meek amount you receive and the pasta dishes weren't anything to rave about.

I bought the tropical tacos, and fought off the temptation to rebuy the same order... very happy. Thank you for hosting our WEevoleSocial event. We were in the right place!!!! I'm coming back.

Food was well prepared and wonderful. I had the clams in chorizo sauce and the the flavors were outstanding. House wine s great value. We will return.

Wanted to like Urbano more than I did, ultimately. Slow service, despite the small crowd, and a below-average meal at best. Can't recommend.

We ate at Bauhaus for the first time tonight and everything was perfect. Every single bite of…read moreevery dish was remarkable. I started out with their house made soda - a sparking strawberry drink that was extremely refreshing. We were there early and had the pleasure of sitting at the counter and talking to Tye - the owner/chef and Shauna the wait staff. Dishes are to share. Tye explained that he serves the dishes in particular order to deliver balance with intensely flavored dishes alternating with milder bites. We started with a simple plate of Marcona almonds, Castelvetrano olives and Manchego cheese. We then enjoyed the cabbage with peanut sauce dish - which may sound unusual but was absolutely delightful. We practically licked the plate - in fact asked for a spoon to capture all of the sauce. Next came whipped feta and ricotta cheese served with thinly sliced stone fruit some chili crisp and honey sprinkled with red walnuts and olive oil. This is served with bread slices. It's hard to describe how delicious and flavorful this dish was with such simple ingredients. We were going to order the steak and chimichurri but were talked into the lamb pops - and we are so glad to have tasted these marvelous lamb chops. They were cooked perfectly. In fact they were so good - we went ahead and ordered the steak too - which was extremely flavorful on its own but served with a fresh house made chimichurri. We also ordered the patatas bravas which were perfectly seasoned and cooked - almost crispy on the outside but creamy on the inside with just a perfect level of heat. We finished the meal with the cinnamon rolls - don't know how they cooked these to perfection so quickly but they were fantastic. Bottom line - how have we not been here before! Most important - we will be back!! Thank you Bauhaus for a great meal and dining experience.

Among our group we ordered the bread basket, cesar salad, mescalun salad, veal scallopini, gnocchi and manicotti. All were fantastic. Even the side vegetables were delicious and not an afterthought. Desserts were excellent. We had lemon creme brulee, zabaglione and a flourless chocolate torte. service was so friendly. It is beautiful inside. The price was great for the quality. We spent about $50 per person. We were dining at an off time, 3:00-4:00 PM on a Tuesday, and the place was fairly empty. Highly recommend.

An overweight waitress with black pulled back hair and heavily applied makeup showed up at our table with obvious contempt written all over her face. From the moment she approached our table, she seemed unhappy to be serving us. Her attitude was curt, uncooperative, and made us feel unwelcome. When I asked simple questions, she reacted as though I was inconveniencing her, responding with visible irritation and a dismissive tone. It became clear she was upset that we chose to sit outdoors. When she returned with our water, she was visibly sweating, flustered and frustrated, and probably worried about her heavily applied makeup running in the heat... so the entire interaction felt strained. If outdoor seating is open and available, customers shouldn't be made to feel guilty or unwelcome for choosing it. It's disappointing, because we actually enjoyed the food. But no matter how good a meal is, I won't return to a place where I'm treated with contempt. This was our first and last visit to Verona Cucina Italiana.

It's a little hole in the wall and unassuming but the food is always a knockout and you will leave happy. Had an overnight work trip that had me in Modesto so I was trying to find something fun to eat…read more After a bit of research I found this place. I showed up around 7pm and I thought it might have been closed because no one was here. But they were open. I ordered a Bauer burger with the house seasoned fries. They asked how I'd like the egg cooked and the burger cooked: I asked for medium for both. Given how dead the place was, it did take a minute to get my food. The burger was ok, not worth $21. The bun fell apart very quickly which is a bit of a cardinal sin in the burger game. The bacon on the burger was not bacon strips but a bit of bacon crumble. The patty was a bit overcooked so it was dry and it wasn't seasoned so it was bland. The egg was cooked perfectly, but the aioli and the egg yolk with a disintegrated bun made for a huge mess. The fries were interesting. The house seasoned fries are not salted. So the fries were almost sweet due to the spices, but no salt. And they do not have regular table ketchup or malt vinegar. I did ask for some ketchup and they brought me their house ketchup. While not like a classic ketchup, it was actually quite good. Oh, be aware. They will charge you a 4% fee when they bring you the check (what would have happened if I'd paid with cash?). I do not see anywhere on the menu where they say their is a payment fee so that is a pretty shady business practice. Overall: meh. I think for the price point the burger should have been great, but sadly I can't say it was great or even good. I'd likely not return.
