Burger place in Chattanooga. We stopped for lunch before going to Rock City. There were seven of us, so we had to wait about 20 minutes. No big deal. They told us the wait and stuck to the time frame. Limited seating because if COVID. The kids got a Dirty Bird. The sauce was great. Chicken was moist but crunchy on the outside. My wife and I split the hamburgesa mama city. We ordered it pink. The burger was juicy and the flavor combination was really good. Service was friendly and upbeat. Good place to stop. Would have given 5 stars, but a friend of ours that was dining with us for her burger with no pink and it was a bit over cooked and dry. Since we had an appointment to keep, she didn't say anything. The setting is perfectly pair d for their speciality: whiskey and gourmet burgers. I had a strawberry blond and chicken wings for starters. The drink was pretty bland and light on alcohol. I got a 50/50 mix of the two wing sausages. Wings were very plump and juicy, though sauces were just ok. Not surprisingly the burgers shined. I had the mamacita: chorizo, pickeled jalapeños and chipotle aioli. Burger was hearty, heavy, juicy and cooked to order. Not sure what they put on the house fries but they didn't need any ketchup. We ran into this place randomly and I'm so glad we did. I'm a picky eater but even I found their gourmet burgers absolutely delicious! My husband's Philly cheesesteak burger was the best of the three our party got. My BBQ burger was a close second. Our daughter got the kid's sliders and I loved the flavor. While in town with some coworkers we stopped here for a quick dinner before turning in to our hotel. The Urban Stack is located near the downtown area right down the street from the Chattanoogan. Luckily they were still open when we got in around 9:30 pm and were nice enough to still serve us. The majority of their menu features burgers, but you can also sub for a vegetarian option or chicken breast. I opted for the Guacamole with chicken breast instead of the burger patty. The chicken was cooked perfectly and they definitely loaded on the guac which I loved. I ended up putting some of the signature sauce on my sandwich as well which give it an amazing flavor. The fries I thought weren't anything too exciting, but the sauce. Man that stuff was good! I would definitely recommend checking this place out. Came here for a late lunch on a Sunday. Love that they have outdoor seating and allow dogs. I got a farm burger with the beyond patty and sweet potato fries and my husband got the the steakhouse burger with onion rings. We also got a side of Mac and cheese, a margarita, and a cookies and cream shake. Everything was absolutely delicious and I would highly recommend this spot. Love that they can make a lot of burgers vegan. Not only was the food great but the service was awesome as well. Our server was super friendly, patient, and just overall helpful. For the love of God......I ordered medium rare/medium and the burger came out totally gray, over cooked (i.e., well done), and the consistency of a hockey puck. The restaurant destroyed the burger. My party requested that I not mention my dissatisfaction which I obliged. Truth be told - the cooks should be fired for destroying the meat that they served me. Shocking that the "quality" served is permitted. Might as well been a frozen ground beef patty. We are coming to town for orientation at UTC. Excited to visit this restaurant. We drove over an hour to get here. Paid parking right in back of the restaurant Cute restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining Large drink selection. For starters the first stall toilet was dirty and didn't have tissue. Once the second stall was available I was please that it was clean a fully stocked. Our waiter (Will) was ice but forgetful. I ordered an appetizer that I had to remind him about. Our food took a long time. It it brought in the middle of us eating out food. Nevertheless the food was amazing. We also order the orange Creamsicle milkshake . For some reason, one of our milkshakes was not filled to the top and either did not have an orange on it. Either way it was good. I also explain to the waiter that I would like something to go. He said that he would put the order in halfway throughout our meal. Once again he forgot. They have local beer, which is always nice. I got the local beer flight, and all the beers were tasty. The Brown Beer and the Peanut Butter Milk Stout were my favorites. The sweet potato fries and onion ring sides were both very good. The Jive Turkey Burger was delicious, and a little sweet. The Asian Q Burger may have been even better. We didn't get an appetizer, but they have a nice assortment, including Fried Bologna Sliders, and Pimento Cheese Dip. They also have salads that look very good. I am glad we stopped here. Food was good, I got the spicy chicken sandwich. It is dipped in a coating of buffalo sauce. Pretty good and spicy. The sweet potato fries were also really tasty. Urban Stack is located in the Southside of Chattanooga in an old railway passenger baggage building across the street from the Choo Choo. The building is really cool inside as you can imagine all the travelers coming and going from this spot. The street leading up on it still has the old time pavers. Walking distance to shops and attractions makes this restaurant a great choice. The menu has a large selection of burgers with unique toppings ( or plain) and other sandwiches including plant based meat. I tried the big cheese and was really happy with it. I loved the balsamic onions as it added another level of flavor. Sandwiches come with a giant side of delicious fries. Appetizers, bar snacks and incredible salads. I also had the farmhouse salad loaded with roasted beets , asparagus, corn, strawberries and fresh greens. You have the option of adding grilled chicken. A great selection of beer and wine with a large bar area. Outside seating on a pretty patio where you can see the mountains. A very relaxing feel. Service was attentive and friendly. Plenty of street parking available, but remember this is a growing city so weekend parking could take you to the paid lots across the street. ( still incredibly cheap to park). read more

The hype far outshines the actual food. I suppose the uniqueness of the names of the burgers could be a draw, but the product isn't really special. I love a good burger but even with the expansive menu after reading all the descriptions of each burger I went with the "Dirty Bird" which is a very hot spicy chicken sandwich. This wasn't our first time to eat here and I don't remember the menu as it is now. On previous visits the burgers were much more appealing. I suppose everyone will have to decide for themselves. So we assumed this is popular family place early on weekends. So we moved to the bar and found two nice seats in the corner. Menu looked interesting, featuring 10+ different burgers. We ordered two different featured burgers with Wagyu grade beef. Burgers were good but not outstanding. Not nearly as good as the wagyu burgers we grill at home. Burgers come with good fries or sweet potato fries. We ordered both. Food is served on metal trays, no plates. Like a BBQ joint. They have nice menu of cocktails, wines and draft beer taps. But they still serve beers from that beer company. Boo. Seems to be a popular place by the crowd, but nothing special. But I would return and try other items for lunch or casual dinner. I hear this place used to have good burgers. I don't know if it was an off night or what but we ordered 2 different burgers Medium and they both came out dry and over well done. The toppings were not generous the fries were ok, on par with fast food fries but nothing to return for. And the house made chips were burnt. Atmosphere: This spot is a stones throw from the Moxy, so if there is a wait hit up the bar at the Moxy for a pre dinner drink. This place has a really great outdoor seating area. People were actually waiting to sit outside when inside seating was available. Inside has a relaxed hip vibe. Casual attire but great for a night out. Food: we ordered the wings for an appetizer. Half spicy half BBQ. If you are expecting hot wings these are very very mild. Like no spice. The wings are meaty and both sauces were delicious! A solid wing. Their blue cheese dipping sauce is a must. It has a ketchup base. For the burger I did the struess, turkey burger. The old goat did the Italian. Both were seriously awesome. Great juicy patties full of flavor. I would recommend. Service: like I said, we were sat immediately. Our waitress was very helpful giving suggestions and telling us about the sister restaurants. Decided to stop in for burger week. Had "The big Cheese" burger special. It's misleading, as it doesn't come with fries, like the other burger week locations, so the $7 burger when you add fries is roughly .50 cents less than the price that's on the menu. I'm skeptical of a server who doesn't write down our order, rather they rely on their memory once they make it to the POS location. We ordered onion rings with one of the burgers, and fries came out on both. We wanted eat our burger with the onion rings, but they didn't come out in time. I even got up to ask her, politely, if they were coming as she was up on the ladder behind the bar. This occurred because she didn't enter the order correctly in the first place (evidence on the receipt). If this order would have been written down by the server, it would have been delivered right the first time. Then she charged us for the fries. The lack of attention to detail makes the burger's quality and taste pale in comparison. The burger was ordered medium and came out medium well. The bun and the caramelized onions were the star of the show. Distracted, inattentive service is the recipe of this review.
