I've been going to this location well only location for 4 years now and have never experienced the lack of inconsistency or orders like I have been recently. I visited about 6x and each time my order was wrong. I'm not sure how you can mess up a wrap and fries but it happened that many times. I gave the restaurant 3 stars only because Lydia made absolutely eveything better! Her energy , urgency, and compassion towards customers is unmatched. I appreciate her for making sure every time I come in that I am well take care of and my order is correct and honestly that's all I ever wanted in the first place. My absolute favorite healthy take out place! The niciose salad is my go to lunch. It is the best! I always add avocado. Minus one star for inconsistency. Probably ordered this salad 20 times, and love it when the sashimi is sliced thin and seared (as shown on their site) but sometimes the chunks are soooo big and overcooked. All of the refresher drinks are so incredible. Tried them all, and can never decide which to get, because they are all so fresh and tasty!! I really enjoy coming here now with kids. There's outdoor seating and counter style ordering so everything comes out to you just like plutos back then! The food seems fresh and well made. Simple yet homey and cozy. My kids enjoy the Mac and cheese and honest juice boxes. I like their beers on tap and their steak, mushrooms and other deliciously made sides. I treated my ex-wife to lunch and we both enjoyed a delicious salad. She had the grass fed steak for protein and I had grilled salmon. You order first thing and then find a seat. I love Urban Plates and got excited when I saw this location in Dublin on my way to Whole Foods. I frequently go Palo Alto. So as soon as I saw this location told my friends that we had to try it before going WF. My Caesar salad was soggy/wilted and had a bad cherry tomato that ruined the whole salad no cheese on sight. The chicken was under cooked. The bread that I like so much was disappointing here, It was not toasted and just added olive oil in top. No char! Chicken and Beef was cold and lack the freshness. I could not eat so took it home hoping it will be better heat up. But the taste and quality just is not there. All the food and sides were room temperature was no good! Came here today for Thanksgiving. A lot of people ordered to go. The Thanksgiving Plate was great! And the manager, Michael Morgan, or was it the executive chef, Eugene Taylor (?), greeted us personally. What a nice fellow! Service is friendly, especially on a holiday . Fresh ingredients, homemade taste. Cranberry sauce is a bit tart, as it was fresh and homemade with orange zest. I like the fact that the food wasn't drenched in fat, cream, and oil. Wanted to have quick lunch near the highway so decided to eat at Urban Plates- Dublin as we had some work in that area. It was quite windy & chilly few days back , needed some soup & lunch. I ordered Parmesan crusted garlic shrimp - 2 skewers ( saw new addition to the menu ) with Mac & cheese & roasted potatoes. We shared the shrimp I liked the garlic flavor & shrimp was fresh. But the Mac & Cheese was lukewarm so took Togo & had at home later. Husband went for his usual salmon entree with mashed potatoes & roasted carrot & beets veggies. This review is from Sunday 6/29/2025 around 1pm for the Urban Plates in Dublin, CA. This was our first time trying Urban Plates. Food: Mixed Beet Salad and the Braised Beef and Mushrooms with Potatoes were excellent and full of flavor. The kids steak plate (with side mac and cheese) was so-so. While the mac and cheese was "the best mac and cheese I have ever had," the steak was chewy and tough to eat, though flavorful. Couldn't really even swallow it since it was so chewy. It's because of the chewy steak that we give the restaurant 4 stars and not 5 stars. Service: There was a short line at the counter. It was short because the large group ahead of us, who was ordering and paying separately in mini-groups, was serviced by an additional cashier/order taker. The cashier processed our order in a timely fashion and it was accurate. After paying and seating ourselves, the food arrived in a timely manner. After finishing our food, the staff took our empty plates. The staff was pleasant. No complaints. 5 stars for service. No one else came to the table to check on us, but that was fine since we had everything we needed. Water cups were self-serve, as well as getting the utensils and napkins. Because a lot of it was self-serve, we did not leave a giant tip which we gave when we ordered and paid with the cashier. This is great for families who are on a budget and we like this concept for dining out. Ambiance: Tables were clean, the decorations on the wall and the lights were interesting. Simple yet stylish. Went here on a Thursday night with a large group and we had an easy time finding seating. There was a huge long table that's perfect for big groups. There is also an covered outdoor area but since the restaurant was pretty empty, we sat inside. It's also convenient for large groups who don't want to ask for split checks since you order at the counter, get a number and they bring the food to your table. Service was super quick. Some in my party already had their food by the time I places my order and sat down. Had the chimichurri steak plate with rice and brussel sprouts as my included two sides. It also came with a large piece of garlic bread. Everything was delicious and the steak was cooked perfectly. The chimichurri added a nice flavor to the steak. The stars of the night were the Pineapple Coconut Lime refreshers and Niko with his future podcaster/singer/entertainer voice and high energy. He was a fun cashier who kindly delivered our to-go orders at our table. (You normally pick it up yourself. I told him we were too stuffed to move). The only con was another employee taking a break in the outdoor seating area, across from where we sat. He had his phone on speaker on high volume, so we could hear the other person talking and his kid screaming in the background. This is a really nice place to go to. The inside of it is well designed and I also like the menu layout. I was speculating much with the replenishers since they all look good, which is the reason why I want to try one of them. The Nashville Chicken Tenders are really spicy, which made me drink a lot of water. Honestly, I wish there are spice levels to them. The portion of the French fries are just right and the beet salad tastes good. I was expecting to see more goat cheese around the beets. This place is pricey, but they serve the right portions. My partner and I both got the surf & turf dish on a Sunday evening. For my two sides, I selected with chipotle garlic roasted potatoes and roasted mushrooms (with garlic parmesan butter). Omg, I cleaned my plate, everything was so good! The steak was cooked medium rare and had so much flavor, no need for any sauce, and that shrimp was so buttery. The seasoning on the mushrooms and roasted potatoes was delicious and consistency of these side items was just right. The best meal is when it's so satisfying but you don't feel fat or guilty after eating it... that's what they offer here! I actually saw this place as I was getting off the freeway so when I pulled over, I looked it up on you. The pictures look good so did the review and I decided to give it a try and I wasn't disappointed. I can't even remember what I ordered, but I truly enjoyed it as I drove back home to LA What I really like about the places that the food was feeling, but it wasn't heavy and it didn't make me sluggish.
