Delicious as always! I enjoyed the Thai Chicken salad and tomato basil soup because I'm a tomato #freak. My dad had the turkey avocado club and he really loved it, especially the bread. This was my first time ever at Urban Plates (Jan. 29/25) and I am throughly impressed. Upon arriving, the place was clean and looked quite inviting. I was impressed with the layout and saw that there were plenty of spots inside and outside to dine. I ordered the grass-fed double cheeseburger and fries with grilled onions. It tasted amazing and you could tell that these ingredients were fresh in taste and in flavor. Apart from that, the service there was excellent. I was able to be helped by the staff there who you could tell took pride in their work in providing an excellent experience to their guests. Camila took my order and was able to give some solid recommendations as I asked about different parts of the menu. Next was Carmen who helped maintain the dining area. Her hospitality was excellent and made me feel like I was at home. Additionally, the expo runner who handed my food out was amazing as well. Although, I don't remember his name unfortunately, his demeanor and knowledge of the different sauces I was requesting for concerning my meal was spot on. He let me try a bunch of different sauces that I look forward to trying again when I come back. As a wonderful side note, Carmen surprised me with two desserts for my friend and I. She helped celebrate my first time at Urban Plates in a most sincere and compassionate way by giving us the opportunity to enjoy something sweet (see the pictures below) I appreciated her thoughtfulness and for going above and beyond in that moment. All in all, Urban Plates has healthy and tasty food options and is a place that is family friendly, can be enjoyed by executives for a business meeting and can be enjoyed as a casual dining experience alike. Finally trying this place out! I ordered the Seared Ahi sandwich which was incredible. It was so fresh and delightfully tasty. We also ordered the Grilled Steak Salad. It was refreshing and surprisingly large portion. The lemonade was perfectly tart to go along with our meals. To top it off, James was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful for my first experience. Went here after a workout with my fiance cause we wanted to continue our healthy streak. Both got the Chimichurri Grass Fed Steak. For my sides I got the brussels sprouts & a side salad. My fiance got an order of roasted mushroom and mashed potatoes. My steak was cooked more on the medium-well side and the cut was perfect. My fiance on the other hand had a few very chewy pieces he had to through out. Aside from that we enjoyed the Chimichurri flavor and our sides paired perfectly with the steak. Good clean and delicious food!! It's been good every time, and the price is right too! Peculiar cashier told me, however, that certain options are not available for substitutions on their bowls, even though clearly written on the menu that we get to choose ("with choice of"). She said "well someone needs to update the menu" which was strange since I've ordered that combo every time. Changes are fine and I understand that, it was just an odd and awkward way to go about it. Otherwise, everything was and is always really good. Always a great experience for my family.
