The service was good, the staff is friendly, and the restaurant is clean, albeit a bit small. The menu isnt too big but the food is good. It's worth a visit if you are in the area.

What a pleasant experience! We came on a Saturday afternoon after shopping downtown Flagstaff. The restaurant is cute, cozy and stylish. I love the whole design of the inside. On a nice day, it would be beautiful to sit outside too and people watch. My sis and I shared a chicken parm sandwich, fries and Caesar salad. The seasoning on top of the sandwich bread was top notch and really added a tasty kick to it! The flatbreads also looked incredible so I'll be sure to come back for that. For such a busy place, it was clean and tidy. They even cleared our table after we ate so we could enjoy our drinks for a bit before leaving. They were on top of it!

This was a great place for a late lunch in Flagstaff. Even around 3:30 (not lunch/not dinner) the place had a steady stream of customers. It's a simple menu of salads, subs and flatbread pizzas. I got the super food boost salad that came with lots of veggies, black beans and quinoa. I've been on the road for several days so it hasn't been easy to find fresh, whole foods when dining out. The salad was so good and just what my body needed. They have cute woodsy decor and the place is immaculately clean. It's locally owned and has street parking in the heart of downtown Flagstaff. So glad I had a chance to check them out while stopping in the area for a few days.

I'm in flagstaff visiting for the weekend in this place is legit. The service was excellent and staff were friendly. We ordered a couple things and the food was excellent. The marinara sauce was beyond delicious. Overall, I would recommend this place. The ambience was similar to a diner.

The flatbreads here are very fresh and tasty. Piping hot tenders and taters. Cute little place with, yes, the cleanest bathroom in Flagstaff. Seating available inside and outside with helpful and friendly employees.

Caesar salad flatbread

This place was good and I'm glad we ate here. We ordered two flatbreads and one salad. I had the Hail Caesar flatbread + chicken and it was pretty good. The cashier seemed very unfriendly and unwelcoming when taking our orders but was a lot nicer when dropping off our food. We sat outside and it was a great time. My friends both enjoyed their food as well. Bathroom was very clean!

Just above their outdoor chairs of this place.

Inside had woodsy walls. Staff good, order and they bring to you. Missed the HH sign for 1/2 salad, though $11 is a decent price for feta, arrugala ( I prefer them chopped) & walnuts. Fig dressing skimpy but ok.

Chicken Parmesan sub

This is flatbread and sub shop in the middle of downtown Flagstaff. Downtown Flagstaff parking cost $1 per hour. Their flatbreads come in 6" or 12." I tried out their sweet heat flatbread and chicken parmesan sub with truffle fries. Sure, the portions are smaller than other restaurants but it more than makes up for it in the quality of ingredients. I thought that the old world pepperonis were a nice touch as I like those more than the normal pepperonis. Service was very amiable as well. Our bill for two came out to $32.30.

Unsweetened peach tea

Had a great and very quick lunch here. The fountain drinks are huge - the unsweetened peach tea was a good. I don't usually drink unsweetened tea, but the peach flavor made it very palatable. I had the small Tuscan Sunset flatbread and loved the flavor. My husband did a build your own salad. He said it was excellent - especially the fresh heirloom tomatoes.

12 inch build your own flatbread
John K.

We ordered a 12 inch build your own flatbread. We chose pesto for our sauce, fresh mozzarella as our cheese, chicken for our protein, basil and black olives as our vegetables, and to drizzle on top was fig juice. The flatbread was amazing. Unfortunately parts of the flatbread got burnt otherwise I would have given a 5. Maybe if their flatbread itself was thicker perhaps it would not have burned. We sat outside on the street since it was a beautiful evening. The gals behind the counter were so sweet and helpful. Fun vibe happening at this restaurant.

What an adorable place with great sandwiches. Actually they have flatbreads and salads too. The decor definitely reflects the name. Adorable. I loved my hot hammy and cheese sub which was dressed with Italian vinaigrette, tomatoes and lettuce. And the bread was delicious as well. Choice of salad or fries with sandwiches. I got a Caesar salad. Very good but way too much pepper on it.

Tuscan Flatbread Pizza

We got the Tuscan flatbread, the classic flatbread and my husband got the meatball sub. All the food was very good with a nice crisp on the bottom and beautiful bright fresh ingredients. I loved the atmosphere with fresh green hanging plants in macrame hangers and beautiful pine cutting board art on the walls. They have big windows to watch the bustling historic downtown and enjoy a nice meal with family. The staff was very friendly and working hard

Service counter

Meatball and chicken parm subs were excellent. Well-seasoned and nicely prepared. Out take out orders were delivered quickly. The eatery is attractively decorated and staff are very welcoming.

Urban Spicy Fries- maybe I missed out on the spicy part!?

Ask the Community - Urban Pine Eatery

What is the parking like? Is it pay parking only?

Lots of street parking near the restaurant

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, in the patio seating.

Do they offer vegan cheese?

Matthew, I'm sorry. We do not serve vegan cheese. I'm plant based myself but not vegan. I've done alot of research and the vegan cheese is not so great regarding health wise. I understand some have strict vegan diets though.

Housemade pastrami? Corned beef? Porchetta? Yes please! Proper Meats + Provisions seemed like the…read morebest place in town to eat a sandwich lunch between NPS site visits around Flagstaff. We popped in on a Monday morning hoping to score some great grub and we certainly found some! Cubano ($20.95) - Starting with the bread - it's really fluffy, not toasted or pressed as with usual cubanos. Unfortunately, it's probably a little too light for the sandwich because some parts get mushy from being soaked in all the dijonnaise. The dijonnaise is very sweet, creamy with a mustardy zing. I think they add a bit too much, making the sandwich more fatty and messy to eat than I like (not to mention what I stated before about it soaking into the bread). The meat is fantastic. Both porchetta and ham are griddled on the flat top, giving them a developed and concentrated edge. The ham is to the point of being like country ham, while the porchetta still has great seasoned porky flavor. I believe they griddle the swiss cheese alongside the meat. It melts and crisps up into a cheese skirt, adding a fantastic texture to the sandwich. There's a lot of crinkle cut pickles underneath the meat, but it's not enough acid to cut through all that fat. Sandwiches come with a side of house chips. They are fried until a darker golden brown color, but aren't burnt. This gives a great kettle chip-like crunch. Even with different sized chips, they are very evenly fried with all chips being the same texture. They are salted the perfect amount. (4/5) Aleppo Pepper Pastrami sub Tomato Soup ($22.75) - This place is famous for their pastrami, and I can tell the quality. It's cooked on the griddle until it develops crisp edges. It's fatty, but the fat is rendered so there are no chewy and leathery parts. The meat is extremely tender and thinly sliced. It's honestly almost like bacon in texture, but the taste is completely different, with the exterior spices and pepper making a huge impact along with the rich concentrated meatiness inside. The bread is a nice toasted sourdough, not strongly sour in flavor, but definitely noticeable. The bottom slice is slathered with plenty of nopales studded cream cheese. It's added in a large amount and is an extremely creamy and fatty substance yet somehow doesn't overwhelm the sandwich. It's warm but not melty. The nopales are clearly there but I didn't find it to contribute much. The pastrami is layered on top of that followed by a ton of sweet brown caramelized onions that are very tender. An entire green chile, roasted and super smoky, is above that. Finally, aleppo mustard is spread on the top slice of bread. Between the green chile and the aleppo, there's a slight warmth that tinges the sandwich. It's nothing too spicy. Instead of chips, we opted to sub the Tomato Soup (no fee). It's very homestyle, full of tomato richness in a thick blend. It has a strong tangy tomato essence. There's basil oil drizzled on top for a boost of freshness. The soup is unfortunately quite a bit too acidic for my tastes, but that's only by itself! While very acidic, the soup is actually great as a balance to the sandwich (along with the pickle of course) since there's so much richness and fat coming in between the bread. (5/5) Proper Meats + Provisions definitely serves some great sandwiches. We were considering visiting again for our 2 full days in Flagstaff, but weren't able to make it because they close so early at 6! Ending my Flag trip here was the move. After a few questionable service moments elsewhere, this…read morespot brought everything back to center from A-Z. Front of house was warm, attentive, and completely on it, the kind of hospitality that sets the tone right away. Food came out quickly without feeling rushed, and every plate delivered exactly what I was hoping for. The steak was cooked perfectly (chef's kiss), and the chimichurri had that bright balance. The prosciutto in the Savory Croissant Waffle was a star. Also, shoutout to a place that can genuinely do both coffee and food well. That's rarer than it should be. I'd happily come back just to sit with a latte and a chocolate croissant. Elite-worthy stop, no question.

We opted for a hot vanilla oatmilk latte and a Matcha Americano. We got both of these to go. The vanilla latte didn't have any sweetener or vanilla in it. I'm not sure if they maybe put a little bit but nothing really pulled through. The coffee itself was extremely strong, which is not a bad thing considering we were on our truck back home so it's a good thing to stay awake. The ceremonial Matcha was very light in the Americano. I'm not sure what their measurement is, but it could have used another half a teaspoon, at least. The patio is dog friendly and there was a pup out there already at 8:30 AM on a Saturday. Inside, they have beautiful hanging plants and ample room if you're coming here to study or to catch up with some friends.
