    Piña Colada Nordic Waffle

Such a cute little spot! We sat at a quaint little table IN the window (that had a little space heater which was a lovely bonus). Tried a Miel Coffee for the first time and really enjoyed it; nice amount of flavor & sweetness. Special of the week was the Piña Colada Nordic Waffle and it was amazing! Great spot with good food and a lovely atmosphere.

The teens who work here worked so hard and saved this business while one of the owner's was in the hospital for 8 months. google the story while you enjoy your food :)

Very cute lunch spot!! Was in town for the day and needed a wrap to soothe the soul. Their drink menu is extensive and made me wish I hadn't gone at 3pm (so I could've tried one of their lattes), but that's probably my only complaint. The Thai chicken wrap was fresh, perfectly sauced, sweet + spicy + savory, and had the best crunch to the wrap. The veggies are a nice addition + love the lemon dill sauce it comes with! The waitress was super nice + helpful given they had an event they were closing early for.

A dog friendly restaurant with very good food and a charming atmosphere. After we took Molly for a walk along the St. Croix, we decided to treat her to some shade, water, and bite to eat. We found our way to the back of Urban, and seated ourselves under the pergola. Molly stretched out under the table. She was pooped. Walking a dog can get you tired so Molly opted for a shady stretch while our dog sat with us at the table. Our server was very polite and prompt. Our order was in the kitchen in no time. Our food soon arrived hot, cold, and fresh. Hot where it's supposed to be, and cold the same. Delicious. I like to mix things up every once in a while so I had the Spicy Tofu wrap. Don't get me wrong, I love my meat, but something about this menu item intrigued me. I'm glad I made the choice. The tofu blended in well with the other non meat items, and kissed with the spicy sauce, well it made it memorable. The other members of our party thoroughly enjoyed their selections as well. I was told by one "make sure you write about my Turkey cranberry on Flatbread. It was off the hook delicious. A little taste of Thanksgiving ( in a Hallmark kind of way)". Noted and done. Try the lemonade. It's sweet and has a little something in it to give it a unique flavor. I couldn't figure it out. Maybe it was real lemons? When it was time to leave, we leashed up the dog and reached under the table to wake up Molly. She was still pooped, and on top of that, her hands and knees got scuffed. Quick Tip: If you have a Molly, make sure she gets a good night's sleep before taking her on a long walk. It can get quite embarrassing hearing her snore while others are eating. Poor Molly, she should have worn long pants.

This is the lovely tick that attacked my poor senior father

1 Star (because zero isn't an option) If I could give this place negative stars, I would. Dining here was the closest I've come to experiencing psychological warfare in a restaurant. It was a TOTAL mess from the start, we were seated and I was looking around the restaurant and I could not believe what I saw... WORKERS smashing the floor like maniacs ( I'll tell you about the ticks in a sec) So anyways we waited for 15 to be assigned a host to be served water glasses with no straws. Like that is disgusting, we asked for straws and received ones that were cracked so asked for more. So we ordered simply a glass of wine and cup of tea which we did not even get those until 20 minutes later after ASKING for them. We ordered our food and the kid's came out wrong so we had to correct that. We ordered our food and I came out 1 HOUR LATER. That is simply ridiculous. So we were waiting for the bill and my poor senior father feels something one his leg, looks down and a tick is attacking him. ( Guess that was what they were trying to dismantle earlier) my father grabs a lemon cuts it in half and desperately rubs it where the tick bit him because the " Urban olive and vine" has left us no money left for tick bite medication. Meanwhile, as our host walks right past our table without a word. We would have had better service at McDonalds. We finally get the bill after of course, asking for it. We inquire to talk to the " Manager" ( turns out there wasn't one there) the workers we talked to gave us a insolent attitude and did not help us with our concerns. They simply left us to deal with their issues and they walked away. In short: the tick would have served us better and gave more professionalism to help us solve our concerns. DO NOT EAT AT " Urban olive and vine" unless you would enjoy a bunch of fake managers with sassy attitudes. This experience left me with emotional damage due to the Karen's who served us I hope this helps! A picture of the lovely tick is provided below:

What a cute, local restaurant located right in downtown Hudson. The food was good, service was great. Restaurant was very clean and organized. There is a patio in the back for outside seating. Highly recommend.

Mushroom, Caramelized Onion & Brie Soup

Dreamiest food in town, with friendly staff and fun and funky live music. Tonight's soup of the day was Thai chili, which had such a unique flavor profile. Nothing beats the mushroom soup, however, in my honest opinion

    Soup Sampler

I'm here at one o'clock in the afternoon with a buddy of mine I haven't seen in a while. Someone tells us that we will be seated shortly. The hostess is three feet behind her. She wasn't kidding. We ask to sit outside, because the breeze and the Hudson sun today are perfectly complementary, and I long for a climatically optimal lunch. We are immediately seated under a large, nearly opaque umbrella, because I was born under a dark star. The three or four menus the waitress brings out offer a wide variety of sandwich-adjacent fare. I settle on the adult peanut butter and jelly sandwich, because who knows what culinary genius lurks behind such an obviously stupid premise, and when will I ever be given a second opportunity to answer that question for myself? I also order the soup sampler, because I am a Libra (sun AND moon). The waitress we didn't get keeps coming out to her tables--you know the one I mean, the one who's in training, the one who's too good for this job, or this world, the one who missed her calling as a Teen Vogue cover model. The joke, this time, is on the Tempter; the only sort of longing that springs forth from my jaded heart is for a quiet death and a long, slow funeral. This happens three or four times before our waitress returns to, and I am not making this up, what she has begun to call "the table of starvation." I don't really know what she was talking about. We haven't been waiting for long. Maybe ten minutes from when we walked into the place. I guess their service is usually even faster. I am enjoying my time under the umbrella, thank you. I do not need you to rush on my account. The soup is amazing. I have three soups. They're all amazing. I liked soup before; now, I love soup. I am in love with soup. I am going to learn how to cook soup, soup like this, soup you could settle down with, raise children with, retire with, and live out your dwindling days with, you know, the sort of thing that exactly failed to happen for me. Yes, I am projecting my lack of romantic fulfillment onto soup, rather than onto Hot Waitress. Not today, Satan. She smiled at me because that is her job, I tell myself, and I am correct. The sandwich is stupid, after all. It does not even inspire a longing for the childhood joy of peanut butter and jelly on a slow summer afternoon. Don't get me wrong; it tastes good. I ate all of it. It's a good, even excellent execution of a terrible, too-sweet, too-nostalgic idea. The menu needs to be renovated, not with scissors and paste, but with a chainsaw. I do not need more than seven sandwich choices. I want to have a different sandwich every day of the week, and I want them all to be good, because you are focusing on what you are good at. Make normal sandwiches, make them well, and have one seasonal special, and make it fantastic. Our waitress correctly recommends the lemon mascarpone thing. It's perfect. She plated it herself, she says, with love. I can tell. I feel special, so I'm not going to take a picture of it. I like this place. I like the fish decanter they brought my delicious, refreshing strawberry oolong iced tea out in. I really do love the soup. If I lived here, I'd come back and try a normal sandwich, and I think it would be good, because whoever is cooking here can cook. I take the back way out, and the sun hits me for the first time in an hour. I can still smell the soup cooking. I long for it. For it, and for that funeral.

Duck Bacon Stuffed Nordic Waffle (duck bacon swapped with regular bacon)

I really liked this place! I was in the area briefly for a work trip. There was a nice outdoor patio with plenty of seating and then there were options for indoor seating too. The inside also has tons of items to shop for that could be used for cooking. I was super bummed I didn't have time to shop because it all looked amazing. Food was excellent and service was good. The only downfall was that the menu was pretty limited. I was going to get something on the menu but they were out of duck bacon (something new to me), I was actually fine with the change (I was scared to try duck bacon) and they just swapped it out with regular bacon. The Nordic waffle was still very tasty. A place worth checking out if you're in the area.

I was a little confused at first because the place still has signage or references from its previous name, but it all worked out just fine. As soon as you walk in, you're immediately hit with the amazing smell of garlic (I think the owner was roasting it that day--heavenly). My friend and I took our time browsing all the different olive oils and goodies. The shop has a really nice balance--part store, part cozy café. We ended up chatting with the owner for a bit, and she was welcoming. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. We ordered the tomato mozzarella panini and a coffee each. I'll be honest--a tomato mozz sandwich wouldn't normally be my go-to, but it was surprisingly flavorful, light, and still filling (half was enough for me). Everything we had was delicious. There's seating inside.... tables and even a comfy couch--giving it that laid-back, neighborhood vibe. Also appreciated that there's a parking lot, which made things easy. If I'm in the area again and need olive oil (or just a chill spot for a coffee and bite), I'd absolutely stop in again!

If you're looking to compete with Popeye's gun show, you need to sail on over to Red Wing Olive Oils and Vinegars to get yourself some oils for all the spinach you'll be eating. Even if you aren't normally a salad person, the deliciously infused oils here might just change your mind. This shop is the sister store to Pass Christian Olive Oils and Vinegars near New Orleans, and they also have location in Northfield, MN. Their award-winning olive oils and balsamic vinegars are sourced from Modena, Italy, so you know you're getting a great product. They have tons of varieties for you to taste test, so it's difficult to narrow down what to buy. If I were cold-pressed to pick a few, my favorites would all be non-balsamic oils: Tuscan Herb-infused EVOO, Basil- infused EOO, and Herbs De Provence-infused EVOO. Vinegar in general leaves me...as Popeye would say, "disgustipated", so I can't comment on those varieties. I recently tried the Jalapeno-infused EVOO for the first time, and it blew me away. I can't imagine eating "me spinach" without it now! The oils are reasonably priced: $7.00 for a 60Mil bottle; $12 for a 200 Mil bottle, and $20 for a 375 Mil bottle. I'm not an olive oil sommelier-- "I yam what I yam, an' that's all I yam." But in my opinion, it is worth it to visit this shop to taste test and stock up on some delicious oils for your pantry.
