Found this place on the way to Minneapolis from the south. Okay so maybe it's not right on the way but..... this is one of the best distillery/restaurant combos i've ever been to. We ordered the cheese curds because that's what you do when you are in Wisconsin. Of course they were amazing. Service was prompt and excellent. This place has everything. Seems to be a venue for large gatherings, Had a bit of a sports bar vibe with the TV's. But it was nicer than a regular sports bar. Ordered a Brandy Old Fashioned which was strong; tasty and strong. One was enough. I saw some burgers go by to another table and that made me order one. Had the whiskey burger and it was amazing with the fries. I wish i lived closer. I would go here often. I understand they have drink mixing glasses and other fun things to do. This place is worth stopping for. read more

It was a week of meeting friends and heading across the border to the Tattersall distillery in River Falls was one of the highlights of the week. This is a beautiful large restaurant, bar and venue that offers so many activities and events. I met a girlfriend for dinner and live entertainment. Tattersall has an amazing array of products that they distill. They have a fabulous month of special drinks and food. The staff is delightful and so friendly. I ordered the meatloaf dinner and my girlfriend ordered the hamburger. Both meals were fresh and a lot of food! We stopped in the store that has all of their alcohol and lots of great merch. I chose a bottle of their delish vodka and their seasonal "Birkie whiskey". They have a ton of events-crafting, live music, cocktail classes and more! They also have a phenomenal app with over 400 drink recipes. So delish. Def recommend!! read more

Stopped by here and had a great time! This is such a cute distillery and would be such a nice venue for an event. The winter market was so cute, and it was buzzing on a weekend. Loved seeing all the different products and what people were selling. Afterward, we stopped by the bar and got some drinks. The happy hour menu was great!! $5 cocktails??? cant beat that. To be honest I was disappointed. I expected more than feeling like I had just pulled up to a Walmart. Located right off the highway exit in a large parking lot. If you sit outside you get a nice view of the highway and a strip mall featuring a Subway. Inside lacks character and charm. Service was good. We enjoyed the Brussels Sprouts and flatbread. Drinks were fine but nothing special. The place feels like you are in a large chain hotel. No need to drive from the Twin Cities when we have Earl Giles and other places that are more convenient. read more

I loved the vibe here. The place is huge and is host to many events. On our visit on a Wednesday, it was pretty quiet. We ate inside but the patio vibe was energetic. I felt like I needed to get a cocktail at a distillery so I chose the Cosmo which was very good. For dinner I chose the salmon and husband had the French Dip. My meal was not very good. Salmon had a nice sear on it but bottom half was rather cold. The pasta served with it was cold. It just wasn't very good. Maybe I picked the wrong meal. Staff was great. Drinks were great. Our first time here was fantastic! We brought our dog Yukon with and the server brought out a dish of water with a few samples for us to try. She was very willing to suggest items for us to try as we're all of the other employees in the tasting room. The facility was beautiful! They did an awesome job renovating an old Shopko building. First time at Tattersall. As a chef, restaurant connoisseur, and traveler, I am so happy to say that this place is very unique, with great personality, great dishes, and excellent service, particularly the young waiter who served us, very professional but also with a level of education and knowledge that is rare. On another note, the drinks are local and the spirits have been distilled on-site for years. Excellent quality in all aspects of the preparation of the alcoholic beverages. The dining room is very well-defined and coherently demonstrates the relationship between the food service and a very well-established and spacious bar. The only thing I have to mention is that, unfortunately, I found the restaurant's manager on duty to be not very friendly for her position. I approached her to compliment the enterprise and express my opinion about this wonderful place. Sadly, she should have a little more PR for her position. read more

Tattersall Distilling in River Falls was a fun and wonderful experience! We went here with a large group for girls night and was able to be seated right away at a big booth. The vibe is nice with low lighting and modern decor. The food was absolutely delectable! There wasn't one thing at the table that someone didn't like. Everyone loved their food! I got the French dip and enjoyed every, mouthwatering bite! The meat was tender and savory, while the bread was soft. Dipping it in the au jus made for the most comforting, delicious meal! There's a cute little gift shop in the building that we checked out after dinner. There also looks to be an outdoor concert venue that would be fun to check out in the summer. Our daughter's wedding and reception were held at Tattersall. The event space was perfect for an outdoor ceremony, indoor/outdoor cocktail hour, and dinner reception. We found the staff to be friendly and professional. Any questions or issues we had were quickly resolved. Guests shared compliments about the walleye appetizer and the candied bacon appetizer. The brandy old-fashioned & mango iced tea cocktails were delicious as well. We would definitely recommend Tattersall for weddings and other large events. read more

Had a great time with a super fun server. Enjoyed happy hour $5 super tasty cocktails including Old Fashions loved by many in our group. I had the Mango Ice Tea cocktail which was really good. I had the pizza. Thin and crispy crust and a tasty sauce. After we headed to the gift shop and did some complimentary tastings of a variety of liquors including a sour cherry flavor (not my fav), an orange crema (very tasty possible substitute for Cointreau) and a blackberry brandy (fantastic!) I heard the grapefruit cream was also outstanding. All under the Tattersall brand. The location also has rooms for private events of any size. We don't tour the distillery but it's huge! I'll definitely be back and bringing some friends! read more

It's hard not to be astounded at Tattersall! Their salmon is perhaps my favorite in the world. I've had it both in a salad and as an entrée, and it's always perfectly crispy and soft at the same time. Don't mind the poorly-lit photo. I may not have captured it well, but the presentation was stunning. Hats off to our server, who took great care of my family and I! It's worth noting that there aren't a lot of meat-free or alcohol-free options, especially if you'd rather not have your food cooked in alcohol. It is a distillery after all, so alcohol is central to the business. I wasn't all that impressed by my blueberry smash mocktail (there was much more ice than drink), but the rest of my party had no complaints about their drinks, and the salmon more than made up for it. read more

Tattersall looks nice . . . and if you sit at the bar it's not bad. We sat at the busy bar to wait for our table, and should have taken the hint when we saw multiple people dining at the bar. The dining area isn't very big, and the majority of tables were open, but I understand they were being held for people with reservations. I only mention it because once our group of five was seated, it was like we were invisible, meanwhile there wasn't the clientele to warrant a waitress not stopping by to start our meal. My sister-in-law eventually told two workers at separate times (a hostess and someone refilling our empty water glasses) how long we'd been waiting without any sign of a waitress. Moving on. A waitress did later pop by to take our drink, appetizer and entrée orders, and weirdly work menopause into the order convo. For apps we ordered the truffle fries and cheese curds, and the truffle fries were the best thing we had all night. We also had pasta with chicken, Nueske's blackberry pizza, a different pizza, chicken, and a whiskey burger. Nobody was impressed with their meal, not even the starving college student who ordered pasta. My chicken medallions were overcooked and dry, and the cauliflower was not at all roasted. My sister and I had a blast here last night at the River Falls Location. We came for the Lissie Concert and it was worth my drive in from the South West Metro. I have been a huge fan of Tattersall liquor but my homemade drinks are NOTHING compared to their professionally crafted cocktails. They were delicious!!!! And we were able to make our best choices because we were capable of getting a tester before committing. Everyone should do that! We both have high standards for WI cheese curds and they may have risen to the top of my favorite curd list. We decided to split the cheese curds and a burger and that was a perfect amount for us. The mini-concert was great I had not even heard of Lissie but I am sure to add a couple of songs of hers to my playlist. We wish would had brought a blanket to sit on and if they would have had more tables to gather around or set our drinks down would have been the cherry on top. Overall the good things were fantastic and the bad things (can I even say bad things) I can easily get over and are fully compensated by the good. read more

I love this place! Stopping in on a Saturday night, we took a seat at the bar instead of a waiting for a table. Good move, because the bartenders walked us through all the drinks and let us sample all the ones that were on tap. I had the south side- a crisp gin drink with lime and habanero, my partner had similar drink with aquavit instead of gin. Both were excellent. Not sweet, right amount of heat. I also tried their house gin and tonic- so good! Crisp, not too sweet. Many people could learn from their cheese curds. Fresh Ellsworth cheese curds in a very. light batter. The dipping sauce was light and had a slight bit of heat. Best restaurant cheese curds I have ever had. And I have eaten a lot of cheese curds. We ordered the smoked mushroom and sausage pizza. I was so happy they let me leave sausage off my portion of pizza. Quite good, but the fontina cheese was unnecessary. I would have let the mozzarella shine. The staff was busy yet still friendly and attentive. My only minor complaint is that they really need a few vegan options. But it was still a joy to behold read more

Here's the good, bad, & the Ugly! Never mind... nothing was ugly. Very nice ambiance, service was okay, and drinks were good. Also they had a great gift shop and a huge patio. On the other hand the bar could be bigger, menu is expensive, especially considering that there's really nothing all that unique on it. Glorified bar food. Which I like; but.... That's what it is. I had the brat burger, and my wife had the Sconnie burger, three mixed drinks and one beer. With tip $100.00 bucks. This place would be a 4 star if the food & drink prices were a little cheaper. Have been wanting to give this location a try since they opened and hubs made a suggestion for it and they had open reservations, so we decided to make the short trek over to River Falls. Was immediately impressed with the space. It appears they have an event space, the dining area, and the tasting room/store. We were seated in a small dark corner of the bar (honestly, this was the most disappointing part of the experience; it wasn't incredibly crowded while we were there and I felt, literally, put in a corner). At least our server was incredible, so that made the less than choice seating a little better. Started with the Truffle fries. These were nice and crispy and covered in Parm. I always wish there is more dip and these weren't too truffle-y, just a hint. I got the pasta selection with chicken, which was a basil pesto with tomato, mushroom, and goat cheese; hubs had the fried chicken sandwich with a side salad. I enjoyed the pasta, but it was a HUGE serving. Hubs said the sandwich was good, loved the pickles, but couldn't really taste the mustard. We both got drinks as well, a Brandy Old Fashioned and a Fig Manhattan. Drinks were excellent. Walked around the store to grab some goodies to take home. The bar in this area has different drinks than the restaurant, so if you're going to eat and the walk around, save some room and try one of the tasting room beverages. That was a downfall for me, I was already so full, I couldn't take on another drink. The helpful bartender in the store did let me sample a couple things though and helped me to decide to grab a goodie to take home. Overall, excellent service and drinks and decent good. I had a poor service recovery experience with the manager. Our server was sweet and nice but we were incorrectly charged on our bill for a cheese flatbread we ordered. Server was supposed to check if we could get a cheese flatbread during happy hour for $6. Our order came and it was a cheese pizza and I questioned it since it looked identical to our other child's cheese pizza. No big deal. We had a good family meal. Bill came and was charged $19 instead of $6 or $9 for kids cheese pizza. A typical experience would be to correct the bill to the happy hour special we ordered or even charge $9 for the kids pizza for the servers miscommunication. Went back and forth through our server with the manager and manager was reluctant with correcting bill and was petty about it. Instead of properly adjusting it, she said no initially then after more back and forth adjusted partially for $5. It was really petty for the manager considering it was the restaurants mistake. Made the experience uncomfortable and disappointing. Disappointed with my experience. read more

The menu is a bit small, but the chicken and the salmon dishes are amazing. Two words- TROUT DIP. It was phenomenal and cheesey and goey. I tried fin drinks this time. I had the gin/habenaro martini drink, and a gin bloody (not the aquaveit). Both were great. I had a whiskey old fashioned for dessert. We shared beignets for dessert. Our first time here. They did a great job with the space. We started with a few cocktails, which all were very good. Then we had the steak tips and cauliflower apps, they both were very good. I had the pasta verde and my GF had the chicken over risotto. The pasta was amazing, the noodles were made fresh and the flavors were fantastic. The mushroom risotto was fantastic as well. We had the beignets for dessert and they didn't disappoint. I've only had better in NOLA and KW. Overall, the service was fantastic, food was outstanding both in quality and presentation. The cocktails of course were also very good. The menu is limited for entrees, which I think is good because you can be really good at the few vs too many and most being average. Overall a nice experience! The space is huge. They are super busy on weekends so make sure to make a reservation. Our server seemed overworked and very busy. The menu has lots of options and they currently have a Friday fish fry. We wanted to order the pork belly and our survey suggested pork belly with Brussels sprouts instead. We were open to trying that and ended up being disappointed with the pork belly part of the dish, so I suppose we are glad to have not ordered the pork alone. It hardly tasted like pork belly, and was very meaty, more like pork chops or pork loin. Our drinks were good. I like the aquavit cocktails! I had the margherita pizza which was a okay. My husband really wanted perch which is hard to find in the twin cities, so he was happy with his choice. Overall, worth checking out but we probably won't make the trek back. read more

I just read Savannah G's review and found her to be spot on. Unfortunately, it is 3 months later and things appear to be the same. I really want to like this place. I know that Covid has lowered our expectations, but I just can't lower them enough to accommodate this place. The place is huge, with the smallest amount of room for the cocktail lounge. The rest of the space is done very nice but empty. They had no room for 4 people to stop in for a cocktail. Once we were finally seated at one of the many empty tables, we were informed by the surly manager that we had one hour. I would pass on ever "stopping in" to this place for a drink. Maybe I'll go again if someone else has made the reservations. If my money was on the line as an investor, I would be very disappointed. read more

Big, beautiful, lots of rooms for events and parties. We were here the 2nd night open and hadn't made reservations for dinner. Menu looks great but we didn't want to eat as much as check out the place. As you enter, the bar/restaurant is on the right; straight ahead is another bar, stand up type inside the shopping area. Liquor, bar utensils and clothing. There was a curtain behind this stand up bar in an area with seating but it wasn't staffed when we were there. People were taking their drinks and sitting down without wait service. Outside patio will get a lot of action in the warmer weather. Specialty gin, whiskey, and some very intriguing liquors. This is definitely going to be a very popular place for gatherings of all sizes. We're bringing guests back next week. read more

Food is bad , River Falls desperately needs a good restaurant this is not it but then again it's a distillery. Had beef nuggets too spicy to eat. Fish & chips -meh. Service ok -asked for seat in shade but apparently the waiter up for next table only had seats in sun . The best drink here is beer or wine. The premixed cocktails are not good. Trying to like the place -is better than Quick Trip. Ambiance is pretty good? It's no Surly I was told the more stars in a movie the worse is must be I think true for distilleries . Needless to say, I wish we would've waited for the patio. Our server Andrew was way to much. He would not stop talking and made comments that made my wife and myself uncomfortable.
