The ambiance is a 10 with a great view of the water and the lift bridge. The menu is pretty small. They have sandwiches, but they are open faced and they only come with a salad. We didn't see a side of fries on the menu. The prices are high, seemingly paying for scenery not the taste of the food or the service. It's a great place if you don't have time constraints and want to linger in the space. The service was pretty slow and they weren't short on servers.

Came for the view and drinks. Relaxed and scenic setting overlooking the river and bridge. Great service and drinks!

What a beautiful fall day today in October around 3:30 pm on a Thursday... Your sandwich board sidewalk signs we viewed today in Stillwater brought my adult daughter and I in to the Water Street Inn and to right to your rooftop patio restaurant. Exactly what we were looking for! Christa was super friendly and positive even though we could tell she was a bit stressed and the restaurant was getting pretty slammed on such a beautiful day. We had no problem waiting a bit here and there but over all a wonderful tasty experience. Totally Loved the Carbonera. I would absolutely go back just for this. Not super over the top flavor or spice- just smooth and silky all the way. It appears Charlies Restaurant and Irish Pub on the main floor in the Hotel is both inside and outside and might possibly be an ok option for when the weather turns and the rooftop is closed.

Excellent. I do not know what's up with the reviews but my wife and I had a very pleasant waitress and an excellent Margherita flatbread. It was good enough to return for drinks and appetizers with friends later that evening. We orders the steak fries and they are highly recommended. Also, this place has the best view of the river front.

The meatballs were small and hard the red sauce was average. Not as described. The goat dip was good. Creamy and cheesy. The chicken Alfredo has chewy chicken pieces and wasn't very Alfredoy. The view was great and we turned on a fireplace. We had the best hostess and server! They deserve 5 stars

Our full order at the end

It was our first time coming to Stillwater and this restaurant, originally, we were going to go to Marx but it was full. While looking around for another Italian restaurant we drove towards the sound of ABBA and water and found Papa's Rooftop. We thought it would be perfect, we love ABBA and water. Especially with our coming out of state. We were seated pretty quickly, but not served or even noticed for 20 minutes. We had to get the attention of staff to even get our menus and drinks. It took about another 15ish minute to even order. The food was okay, not enough flavor. The goat cheese dip was probably the best. But the linguine was watery and bland. And worst of all, the pizza looks like someone took a slice out before serving (which was even more apparent when organizing the slices prior to eating) *pictured. In summary, although the setting and ambiance were beautiful, the service and food were not worth it.

The view is the value. Food and drinks are average at best. Would never go back to this place.

Pretty small menu but the few items they offer are pretty good. Nice views and nice aesthetic once the sun went down.

I liked how thoughtful Next Stop is of their acts; there are about three guitar stands attached to the wall behind where the musicians set up. I sat @ the table just inside the door. As most bars nearly all tables are hi-top, there was one standard height table w six or eight chairs near the middle of the bar. I felt this was the Townie Bar....full w a bunch of chill, kind folk. I didn't take a picture but there was a laminated sign on my table: For food and drink service please see the bartender. I was pleasantly surprised when everyone stepped out during the music break when the lovely bartender passed by, she stopped to ask if I needed anything? Very kind, as I can read and I knew the request. The bar was pretty full but not squished in like sardines full, nor loud. They have a parking lot, not a lot of spaces, so you just park along the edge/grass of the lot and all is peachy. I enjoyed that a couple few of the regulars ended up moving to the table next to me and danced for a lot of the gig! They were kind and lively ladies! The music was great, the environment comfortable and welcoming, the people friendly and attentive and friendly service; I definitely don't see this being my last visit. I didn't see anything on their social media or website and didn't ask yesterday to find out what's with the fireman theme? I really like it... look up, helmets make some of the light fixtures and there are figurine type things on the higher bar shelves. Next Stop Bar thanks for a fun and memorable inaugural visit, you've definitely made a fan and hopefully a repeat customer out of me, cheers!

This place has a really down to earth vibe, the waitress is quite nice and there's good music. I would argue you're better off taking the extra 5 minute drive into Wisconsin because they have a delightful menu, my proof is the PB Bacon Cheeseburger (yes, as in Peanut Butter, it's fantastic)!

The wait at the table was longer than we anticipated but luckily for us, there were some bar seats available. The bartender at the moment was Cameron. He gave us the rundown on the food and drinks and made several recommendations. We started off the evening with the Don Corlone. It was very tasty and also an Andorran Martini. Both drinks were delightful and were semi-sweet but not too sweet. The mixture of the Don Corlione had a perfect blend of citrus and sweetness. We then ordered the pastry puff poppers and they were amazing. The sauce complemented the pastry puffs and the filling left you wanting more. To finish the night we ordered tiramisu, cheesecake, and some bubbles. Thank you Cameron for the amazing service and experience we hope to be back again soon.

It wasn't all that busy, roughly three staff members in and out behind the bar inclusive of an employee who was working on a sangria mix? Pre made cocktail mix? Not sure but he was putting something together the majority of the time I was in. I digress. It wasn't just myself and guest who experienced the slow service, there was another group at the end of the bar that had to ask multiple times for their tab to multiple employees. On to the food: -I went with the Royale Smash Burger, which was quite tasty and honestly, the seasoning of the burger and the cheese stood so strong on their own I wish I didn't have the tomato and pickles in hindsight. Really great burger! -the side fries were solid and seasoned perfectly! -the onion rings we split was surprisingly the opposite. No real taste to the batter, came out not super hot, and really soggy. The exact opposite of the side fries and honestly, wish we'd skipped on them. Overall, the service kind of killed the experience, the burger was solid, and I'd skip the onion rings. There's some decent spots in Stillwater and this place always seems super busy this was the first chance I had to stop in and... not sure with the other options I'd jump to go back. Perhaps it was just an off service/off afternoon?
