Stopped in mid-morning on a Saturday, specifically on the hunt for a certain olive oil flavor needed for a recipe. I was a little confused at first because the place still has signage or references from its previous name, but it all worked out just fine. As soon as you walk in, you're immediately hit with the amazing smell of garlic (I think the owner was roasting it that day--heavenly). My friend and I took our time browsing all the different olive oils and goodies. The shop has a really nice balance--part store, part cozy café. We ended up chatting with the owner for a bit, and she was welcoming. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience. We ordered the tomato mozzarella panini and a coffee each. I'll be honest--a tomato mozz sandwich wouldn't normally be my go-to, but it was surprisingly flavorful, light, and still filling (half was enough for me). Everything we had was delicious. There's seating inside.... tables and even a comfy couch--giving it that laid-back, neighborhood vibe. Also appreciated that there's a parking lot, which made things easy. If I'm in the area again and need olive oil (or just a chill spot for a coffee and bite), I'd absolutely stop in again! read more

I've been wanting to visit this spot for years-- their new name is Curiouser Foods. What a charming little oilery tucked away with a curated selection of balsamic vinegars, olive oils, teas, and rare ingredients that food lovers dream about. The moment we walked in, the scent of garlic filled the air. The owner let us in on the secret: she was prepping garlic for their sandwiches. Naturally, we had to try the caprese sandwich, and it did not disappoint--fresh, flavorful, and that garlic? Incredible. I was in buying olive oil and found the perfect gift for my brother. They had pancake mix and some gourmet syrup which Jean offered to put in a gift box. She added some salted Carmel chocolates and put a lovely ribbon and little tree on the box. It looks so darling! And it is in the approved $30 price range! Thanks Jean! read more

What an awesome little shop! I went over to St Anthony for Tea Source & noticed this place from across the parking lot. I stopped in & found a huge variety of olive oils. The owner was there, mentioning how she was the first oil bar in MN. They also had an impressive array of spices & flavored salts, as well as some really cool flavored pastas. I bought a seasoning that I'm planning on using for my ribs once I pull my smoker out. I also grabbed a bag of snack mix, which reminded me of my co-worker's homemade Chex mix that I love! Delicious! Literally ate the whole bag before I got home. Next time I'm in the area I'll be sure to stop in again. read more

I live near this amazing shop, and each time I go in there I find something that I can't live without. Well, I could live without, but life is too short not to have some special olive oil or balsamic vinegar to share with your friends. Really, it's that good. Staff have been friendly and very helpful. This is a great place to find mostly-local, unique gifts. Oh, and now they bring in gourmet breads to sell, (first come first served)... the breads are fabulous, and are sold at $2 each or 2 loaves for $3. Worth a trip! read more

We are lucky to have such a quality business in our back yard that is locally owned and operated and not a franchise. And we go not just because it is local but the quality oils, vinegars, and other food delights are high quality and a good value. And the best part is the service; we have had friendly and helpful service EVERY TIME we have gone over the past few years! We keep going back because the oils are good, and great for adding a twist to our foods and cocktails. They can answer your questions, offer suggestions, and even have local events to help you experience how flavored oils and vinegars can elevate your home cuisine (which is all too often overlooked). If you're willing to use a dried out bottle of spices...try flavorful oils. I would suggest our favorites...but you can try them all at the store and I don't think you can go wrong. However balsamic fig is my absolute fav. Okay...so I caved and gave you one. But no more...oh...maybe try the Persian Lime on a cucumber bulgar salad...that's amazing...okay...no more...find out for yourself. :) read more

I stopped in this place yesterday after I donated the rest of my clothing I couldn't sell to Hidden Treasures located in the same strip mall. I wasn't sure what to expect at all when I walked in, after all what could be so Gourmet about a place in a strip mall in St. Anthony Village? My, was I ever pleasantly surprised! Olive oils, pastas, spice and vinegars that were all incredibly distinct and impoted from all over the world. You can sample pretty much anything- they have the oils and vinegars set up in these canisters to dispense samples. I strongly suggest the blood orange olive oil. If you love olive oil this is one place you will come close to heaven experiencing the different versions. The pasta is also unique and tasty, I picked up some black olive fettucine, it was fabulous. Definitely worth the trip out here- you can aquaint yourself with the products on the website as well- but I'm telling you- experiencing this place in person is a must! read more

This is the only place we go to get real Olive Oil. The variety and complexity of these oils are fantastic and the knowledge and service of the staff is excellent. Even if you are not certain or have much knowledge of good olive oil, you can walk in Annona and they will help you find the right one for your taste and you. This place rocks! The selection of oils and vinegars is quite impressive. Their balsamic is amazing but even more impressive is the Black Cherry and Orange Ginger. There is a ton of other varieties and all are available to sample. They know their stuff and they are willing to inform you if you are not familiar with any of their products. I'm a Minneapolis foodie and love these little oil shops. But I will have to say this one is very dirty for my taste buds. Staff looks ok but not great. And they jump on you when you get in the door. There tappers don't work so the staff pumps from a small travel bottle. I'm not going back to this shop. St. Anthony area is very run down. read more

You cannot believe the difference a good vinegar makes! The balsamic vinegars at Annona are unbelievably delicious. I will never buy vinegars at the grocery store again. This store has a fabulous selection, you can taste them before purchasing and the hardest part is making a choice. Worth the trip. It will change the way you cook. read more
