    Bulk dry goods
    Kristin O.

Tare Market is wonderful and I wish there were more throughout the metro! The store is bright, modern, and lovely. They have waste-free packing on tons of products - way more than I thought they would! Ketchup, mustard, spices, coffee, tea, dry pasta, granola bars, fig newton bars, straws, food wrap wax, makeup, soap, dishwashing soap, scrubbers, dog shampoo and treats, storage containers, Castile soap, and much, much, more! They also try to source from local vendors. I bought something from a company in St. Paul! Bring your own clean containers (or they have containers you can purchase) and stock up on products. The staff are very friendly and will help you tare your goods so don't be intimidated! I came here for a class called, "Transition Your Home to Zero Waste" where one of the owners gave a presentation on starting a waste-free lifestyle. I learned SO much, took tons of notes, and am planning to get started on living a greener lifestyle. The Tare Market website has lots of classes - check them out because they fill up fast! For prices, I think everything was reasonable. I didn't have anything to compare it to but it seemed well-priced. I bought a 10-pack of facial rounds ($7.99), Dental floss with a refill ($7.49), a mason jar drink lid ($8.99), a lip/cheek tint combo ($11.99). Because I signed up for the class ($10) I got $5 off my store purchase. I can't wait to shop here again as I use up what I have and need to replace items.

    Fun bandages from Tare.

Stopped in today for the first time. My family is trying to cut down on our plastic consumption and I was thrilled when I found a place to buy more items in bulk. The store is bright and clean. The clerk was helpful and knowledgeable of all the products. You can bring in your empty shampoo and soap container and have it refilled. Bring your own cotton bag to buy flour, tea, sugar and other household staples in bulk. I purchased a glass straw, old fashioned oatmeal, cornmeal, dish soap block, band aids, soap nuts and a bar soap bag.

SUPER cute grocery/multi-use bag I picked up

Other items I have goals to eventually switch to are the toothpaste tablets, dental floss refills, and bulk spices.

The class pace is great for beginners and advanced chefs, and they have a great selection of classes. Note that they have you in groups of 6 - we ended up making new lifelong friends. Overall great learning and experience! They ask for feedback at the end of class and you also get a discount for the shop. I have also purchased croissant and danishes from the storefront and they're top tier.

I was greeted when I walked in and several staff members answered my question about the parking. Luckily I had been on the easy to navigate website beforehand, so I knew what I was after: knife storage and an apron. I located those and then allowed myself a little browsing. I think the sunny feeling was only partly sunshine through the windows; the lighting is very nice, and soon someone asked if I needed help finding anything. I also noticed the large cooking classroom. I got a croissant for the road in addition to my small purchase. I think this is my new favorite croissant in the Twin Cities! Up until now it had been Rose Bakery.
