It was bustling, very bright even sales people around. I needed some spaghetti for dinner and was way too lazy to go to a grocery. They had lots of packaged pasta and I got bucatini. 17.63 oz. It's a thick cut and it turned out to be delicious. The way it's separated makes for easy measuring. I asked a sales person for help with flatware, but they don't have a pure black set anymore which I got years back. On a lark I asked if you could get only forks since that seems to be what I lost most during the years. Well I picked up two forks at $7.95 each cause I didn't want to spend an extra 2 bucks each on others. When I get done at the counter I said I was curious about pasta dishes since many of mine broke throughout the last 40 years. The cashier actually brought out 3 different sets that were just beautiful. They weren't the dimensions I was looking for but maybe they just don't make them like that anymore. But I'm considering these. Customer service plus.

You know how it goes. Spoiler alert: it DOES exist, and you can buy it in-store, today! This Crate and Barrel is located in the Galleria, so it is extremely convenient for me. Despite it being Saturday afternoon (and thus busy), there was ample parking. To add to the positive experience, I was immediately greeted by a helpful employee who directed me to the microplane department, where I found my precious (mini-mandoline). Superb! The clearance department was close by, too, and I found a gorgeous stainless steel bento box (at a great price). My coworkers are going to be so jealous. The final "make for a great experience" happened in hole I was in line to check out--another helpful employee asked if I was going to pay with a card (I was) and offered to check me out right away, so I was in and out as quick as can be. It was really nice and I didn't know they give a portion of sharpening and class sakes to pay off student lunch debt (which is a ridiculous thing tonhave exist). They hold monthly classes for skills and sharpening as well as custom orders. If you can't make it during the day they have a drop box behind the shop you can put your knives in and they'll text you with updates. I will definitely be coming back for any knife needs.

He was amazing-patient, creative, and helped us stay within our desired price point. He also was great at helping us obtain what we wanted, but in ways that would work practically. As you can see, the attention to detail and craftsmanship is incomparable. From designing to install, this process was so smooth, we could hardly believe it. We weren't told that. Mostly I'm writing this to save someone else from our situation. Our project turned out fine in terms of craftsmanship, but we ended with tile we hadn't picked out. We worked with a salesman and picked out 3 sets of tile...the backsplash was specifically chosen bcs it had subtle yellow tones. When the tile installer came out with the tile, it didn't look like the tile we had ordered. It was gray tone and not yellowed. I double checked all the paper work, and called the store and everything matched. I thought I must have remembered wrong. So, I visited the Tile Shop to see the tile first hand, and that's where the events happened that makes me give them a big BUYER BEWARE. The first salesman who approached me was downright nasty when I explained the situation to me. He told me they don't make mistakes, and that's why I should order the amount of tile they recommend. (Makes no sense about color.) He was so rude I didn't want to talk to him and I found the original salesman. He agreed the tile shade was different and shrugged his shoulders. He told me basically that it had been my responsibility to come in and check the tile they ordered for me before it left the store. No one had ever told us that. So the only option is to tear it out and buy new. Can't attach pics thru Yelp, I was able to on google reviews.
