I stopped in to buy a couple of gift and had a phenomenal experience. The store is set up for tasting many different flavors of oil and vinegar. Then, if you want to buy a bottle(or 5), the staff will fill up a bottle for you right there and package it. My personal favorite was the dark chocolate vinaigrette - it blows my mind that balsamic vinegar can taste like that. There's no going back to normal store bought vinaigrettes after you've been here!

This place is to a foodie what a candy store is to a kid. The first time I went to vinaigrette, I could not wipe the smile off of my face. I think I did a little giddy hop upon entering. While there, you are encouraged to move about the store tasting samples of flavor-infused olive oils and balsamic vinaigrette. You won't find sprigs of rosemary or chunks of garlic in these olive oils. Instead, they use an infusion process that allows for a clean oil with just enough flavor of the added ingredient. In addition to consumables, they have a display of olive oil hand lotions, soaps, and other items. Be prepared to spend some time here to really get a sense of what you like. Don't know how you would use a fig balsamic or a lemon olive oil? Check out their handy guide that provides ideas for the perfect pairing. I go to Vinaigrette whenever I'm looking for a unique gift or want to break out my foodie cooking skills. Fig balsamic glazed leg of lamb? Oh yes, that was fantastic. A big thank you to Vinaigrette for friendly, helpful service and a plethora of oil and vinegar choices.

It's a great place for anyone who loves to cook, bake, mix cocktails and experiment with food. There are several varieties of vinegar and oils which you can sample on their own, or mix to create custom blends. I tried many and the sales associate Logan (very knowledgeable), was right there to provide recommendations: 1) based on my palette 2) on flavors that went well together and 3) foods / drinks the products worked well with. So here's what I tried and thought (in order of preference): OLIVE OILS -Italian Herb Blend: purchased. very potent flavor that's great alone. it was suggested i use it for grill cheese instead of butter...can't wait. -Rosemary: also has a potent flavor. -Chili: the heat is mild and kicks in after a few secs. -Vanilla: very subtle and although okay I'd rather stick to a bean/ extract for a stronger vanilla flavor. -Tunisian: I didn't notice anything distinct, it tasted like regular olive oil. BALSAMIC VINEGAR -Huckleberry White: purchased. it's sweet with bit of tartness. great in a drink, dessert, on fruit, and yogurt. -Pear: i really wanted this one, its delicious. slightly sweet (not like Huckleberry), but definitely has the acidity of...vinegar. -Coconut (I forgot what it's mixed with): coconut flavor is noticeable, but that other flavor cuts it down a bit, which sucks b/c I love coconut. i think this would be great in a drink. -Cabernet: tasted like straight apple cider vinegar to me. One tip, if you find a combination that you like together (i.e.; fig vinegar, rosemary oil and garlic oil), instead of buying a bottle of each, you can have them combine all in the same bottle (save $$).

A knowledgeable staff, fantastic products, sampling galore, and I keep coming back for more! I love when the staff can tell me where and who creates the fantastic olive oils and vinegars Vinaigrette sells. I love to be able to taste the producer's efforts and buy their product with delight and appreciation for their work. I love sharing Vinaigrette's products with friends and family and seeing their eye light up with enjoyment. Yes, the oil and vinegar is pricy, but this is not for cooking. This is kind of product you drizzle on the top at the end, so its flavors come out pure. Believe me, you don't need much, and it's just so good!

At face value, it's a place to buy fine oil and vinegar. Beyond that though, it's this whole gourmet experience that's pretty wonderful. The woman helping us was so friendly and welcoming right as we walked through the door. They encourage you to taste as much as you want, so you can hop around dipping and mixing... OR sipping olive oil straight from tiny cups like yours truly. I highly recommend a shot of the garlic-rosemary combo. And the raspberry balsamic. And the chili oil. And the champagne vinegar... Even though I haven't purchased anything here yet, my friend did give me a little bottle of Vinaigrette's Spanish olive oil last summer that I ration out into salads as if it were the most valuable thing in my pantry (aside from my little strands of saffron, it probably is). A set of different oils/vinegars would also make a nice gift since you could customize it for that person or for a certain recipe. They even have some recommended pairings listed on each cask so you can make sure your choices jive with each other.

"I'm strong to the finich, 'cause I eats me spinach." (Popeye)…read more You know what goes really well with spinach? Olive oil! The two pair together as well as Popeye and Miss Oyl! If you're looking to compete with Popeye's gun show, you need to sail on over to Red Wing Olive Oils and Vinegars to get yourself some oils for all the spinach you'll be eating. Even if you aren't normally a salad person, the deliciously infused oils here might just change your mind. This shop is the sister store to Pass Christian Olive Oils and Vinegars near New Orleans, and they also have location in Northfield, MN. Their award-winning olive oils and balsamic vinegars are sourced from Modena, Italy, so you know you're getting a great product. They have tons of varieties for you to taste test, so it's difficult to narrow down what to buy. If I were cold-pressed to pick a few, my favorites would all be non-balsamic oils: Tuscan Herb-infused EVOO, Basil- infused EOO, and Herbs De Provence-infused EVOO. Vinegar in general leaves me...as Popeye would say, "disgustipated", so I can't comment on those varieties. I recently tried the Jalapeno-infused EVOO for the first time, and it blew me away. I can't imagine eating "me spinach" without it now! The oils are reasonably priced: $7.00 for a 60Mil bottle; $12 for a 200 Mil bottle, and $20 for a 375 Mil bottle. I'm not an olive oil sommelier-- "I yam what I yam, an' that's all I yam." But in my opinion, it is worth it to visit this shop to taste test and stock up on some delicious oils for your pantry. I walked in and was greeted and they explained the process of picking stuff out and also said if we need any help to ask. Staff was great and as they saw us going around they asked if we needed any suggestions or help to let them know. Honestly it was pretty fantastic being able to sample all types of olive oil and balsamic. I went with an olive oil infused with rosemary and their 18 year old( I believe ) aged balsamic vinegar which was so delicious.Honestly you can't go wrong here! I loved the wide variety they have and the flavors as well. I mean there was balsamic infused with strawberries, cinnamon clove, herbs and the list went on and on. I honestly can't wait to make this an activity when I have my bachelorette and grab different flavors and a basket of bread. They do offer different sizes of bottles and you can either pour your own or they can pour it for you in a sealed bottle. I also brought my kids and 1 of them was interested in trying the flavors and was very impressed. Highly recommend checking this place out as it would also be a great place to get some gifts.

We held a brunch birthday party at the Nord room this past weekend…read more I was in touch with Briana to make the selection of the food menu and she was very helpful. We had the following items on the menu for 26 people: - a large beet and pear salad - bacon and egg breakfast croissant sandwich x 30 servings (cut into halves) - cheese plate - hummus and veggie plate - two 9 inch chocolate torte The beet and pear salad was delicious, so was the bacon and egg breakfast croissant sandwiches which was perfect since they were hot and not cold sandwiches. The cheese plate was excellent, my husband like the hummus and veggie plate - the hummus was rich and spicy and flavorful. I was disappointed with the chocolate tort - it was definitely too sweet for my taste. Retrospectively, I would only have ordered one 9 inch chocolate torte to be shares amongst 26 guest as we had 3/4 of a cake left to bring home. If you want a cake that is chocolatey without being overly sweet, I would go for the chocolate dipped cake. Some of their cakes are made with almond butter and it just tasted too weird for my taste. Definitely skip those. Be aware of the composition of the cake before you order it. I would say I would not come here for their cake in the future if you can help it. I would recommend getting cakes from patisserie 46 instead. Our server Jordan was OK. After having the food out and when guests started to self serve at the buffet area she was nowhere to be found and had to be hunted down for condiments like olive oil. She could have been more "present" during the event. The venue is excellent. There is a minimum food and beverage $500 spending to rent the room for free. Room was spacious enough for 26 people, will be tight if you have 30 or more. I would advise to keep the guest list to be approximately 25 people max.

We hosted our cocktail style Wedding Reception here in June and felt it was woefully mismanaged…read morefrom start to finish. We booked all three rooms back in Fall of '23 and paid our deposit and were excited to get planning come May this year. We got to a month before the event and hadn't heard anything from the Event Coordinator regarding current menu, bar, timing, anything. Three weeks prior to the event we reached out and heard nothing for a week. Two weeks out we followed up and found out the Event Coordinator had changed from the one we booked with and the new one was out for an indeterminate period of time with a family emergency. We worked as best we could with the Event Captain but ended up with incorrect menus and pricing and were finally told the Event Coordinator would be back the Monday of our event week and it would be handled then. We got finalized menus and pricing 36 hours before our event. This was extremely stressful, however, we empathized with the Event Coordinator and were assured the event itself would be great. On the day, we arrived and the staff setting up was unsure how many chairs we wanted. They didn't know which equipment we had paid for to use that needed to be set up. They didn't know what the event was for. They were all very nice and let us know they had extremely limited information about our event which was very concerning for us. The Event Coordinator was present for about 5 mins to ask us about a backup wine if ours ran out and that was it (it did run out because there was only one bottle). There was no Event Captain, and the Coordinator was not on hand and (according to staff) unreachable during the event. We had agreed upon several things including a finite amount to pay for "open bar" and then switching to card after that point and we found out only AFTER we met our minimum that they were never told/weren't prepared to take cards. At that point, our options were no drinks (N/A or otherwise) for the last 3 hours or so of our event or we could just keep paying. So we ended up paying much more than was quoted/agreed upon due to lack of communication/oversight. We were told that guests could visit the attached Blue Stem bar, but it closed two hours before our event ended. We also had guests with dietary preferences/restrictions and had ordered vegan options and gluten free cake. We had asked if these could be explicitly labeled to avoid confusion and were told "yes" and on the day it did not happen so many of our guests were unaware there was anything they could eat at our reception. We were also told we could take our leftovers home and we only got cake when there was a lot of food left when they took it away. The sternos were out for some period of time and we couldn't find someone to help with that. The bar was left unattended. The bartenders were serving and refilling alcohol table to table (which we did not want or ask for), and did not pass appetizers as agreed upon. We reached out to the owner, twice, following our event to discuss our concerns to no avail. We LOVE French Meadow and are just heartbroken to have had this experience with them. Posting this (very lengthy) review in hopes no one else goes through this expensive disappointment.
