I was very, very excited about this location. I am always on the lookout for a good local ramen joint and this one seemed like it had vegetarian options and at a decent price. There was easy parking and the restaurant had a cute and clean ambiance. The employees were nice but had you fill out a tip option for a meal that you order at the front for. From a vegetarian standpoint, the veggie ramen was incredibly bland. I added tofu to mine which cost an extra 3$. The textures were good on the noodles and veggies but the flavor was very lacking. The broth was essentially water. My friend got the tonkotsu ramen and reports the flavor at a 3.5/5 and overall was decent but not something to recommend. I will definitely try this place again to order the only other vegetarian option on the menu, hopefully it's more exciting than the veggie ramen option! read more

Our usual go-to ramen places (Noodle Blvd and Miso Ramen) were closed for the labor day holiday, so we sauntered over to give this place a try. When we went in the place was pretty empty, but cleanliness was good. This is an order-at-the-counter and bus-your-own-table type place, and things looked good. The young lady at the front took our order - which was a variety of Ramen dishes, an edamame appetizer, and a pork katsu dish. Perhaps we're spoiled having been regulars at the other local ramen places, but we found this place very disappointing on a number of levels. First off, the ramen was bland -no seasoning, no spices. Usually you get at least a smattering of toppings that add flavor to the broth, but none here. Secondly, the Ajitsuke egg was basically just half an egg - besides the fact that it only HALF an egg, it lacked any kind of umami flavor, and didn't have the typical browning that comes from marinating the egg in a soy-type sauce. The edamame was boiled, not steamed, and had a spicy powder on it, but really wasn't much to write home about. I wasn't feeling all that well after eating there either. It was cold and my throat was feeling a little funny so I decided to try out this ramen place. It's pretty much a self serviced environment so I can't really judge the service aspect. As far as the person that took my order, he was helpful with any questions I had being it was my first time. Everything about the Spicy Mala Ramen was exactly what I needed on that windy day. It was slightly spicy, nice and hot and soooo hearty. The pork belly bun was so tender and juicy. The crispy chicken bun was super crispy and the sauce was amazing. We've tried out Urban Noodle twice now and can't wait for a third time! My hubs has a few dietary restrictions and they have always been super accommodating. We absolutely love the spicy mala ramen and the tofu curry ramen. The seafood ramen was amazing as well. But the depth of flavor from the mala ramen and the curry ramen was so incredible, you have to try it! I'm not a huge beef person, but the beef bun is insane. 10/10 recommend! The edamame was really great as well. So far we've ordered takeout, so I can't speak to the store location or the ambiance, but the food is so yummy, you have to check it out! read more

Not big on Ramen places but I love this one! Everything good y'all . The space isn't huge inside but I'd say there's still adequate seating. One table is right by a window so you can watch the pulled noodles being made by hand! I tried a lot of things.. and I didn't love everything but all of it was definitely decent & most of it was good! If you're not a big sauce person, I'd suggest getting sauce on the side if you order anything that comes with sauce so you can control the ratio. read more

I am really unsure how this place is 4.5 stars. Ordered Uber Eats after a long flight back from oversees. Had two pork buns, two fired spring tiles and the beef ramen. The meet in the pork buns and the meet in the ramen was awful. The whole dish really left a lot to be desired. The spring roles appeared to be frozen and lightly fried. Assuming after seeing the results of our meal this was a chain like Moe's. I should have been a bit more selective and researched. We were really desiring some good authentic food. This review is actually 3.5 stars for some reason I couldn't add the half star. We ordered the fried tofu, crispy chicken bun and seafood ramen with extra chicken and no mussels. The fried tofu was supposed to be salt & pepper but there wasn't any salt at all. It wasn't seasoned but the broth in the seafood ramen was delicious. Perfectly seasoned. Unfortunately the proteins in the ramen were overcooked and weren't seasoned well. It will probably taste better after it has been sitting overnight. It was supposed to have scallops but was actually scallop pieces that wouldn't even equal one whole scallop. The chicken bun was overcooked as well. Sorry but everything was mostly disappointing. Went here for a Friday lunch. Pretty tasty items but a bit overpriced imo. $7.50 for fried tofu isn't bad but when you get like 6 pieces...not so good. Got the Crispy chicken Gua bao bun as well. The restaurant is still in a soft opening phase but they were missing only one item from their menu. I had the spicy Mala ramen which had a great flavor and tender beef. The bok choy was fresh and the noodles had a nice chewiness to them. My friend had the Tonkatsu ramen which she declared was her favorite ramen in the area so far. Place was clean and guy who took order was super nice. Got the spicy tonkatsu. Noodles, chasu, and other ingredients were fine, but... the broth had zero flavor, even with the spicy added. I figured so beforehand just based on pics but I wanted to try. I also got the pork belly bun. Pork belly was too salty and not great. Plus they put way too much mayo sauce on it. Wouldn't go back. I wanted to like it to have an option closer to home. Guess I'll have to still drive to Cary and stick with Noodle Blvd for chicken curry ramen and Miso Ramen Bar for spicy tan tan. They open late until 10 which is nice. Maaaaybe one day I could venture back to try the chicken curry because the pics look a little better for that, but I don't have high hopes based on what I got. read more

All honesty got to give it another try. On the first attempt first eating there we were on the go and got it to go order. We ordered the spring rolls and all the buns available. They were thick, but still yet, doughy. Sauce was amazing, chicken was crunchy, but not dry. But the pork, the piece that I did have that weren't fat had an amazing taste. So you have no idea how happy I was when I heard Urban Noodle opened. AND it's right by my office. Finally got to go and got the Tofu Curry Ramen. GOOD LORD I WANTED TO SWIM IN IT AND EAT MY WAY OUT. I give this place 3 stars because it's super clean, the staff is kind and accommodating but the food is just not it. My go to ramen place is Noodle Boulevard but Urban Noodle is very close to my house. However both times I tried the ramen here I've been super disappointed. First, I tried the chicken curry ramen and now months later I'm trying the spicy mala ramen both dishes have been a waste of my money because I can't eat it. Today, I ordered the Spicy Mala Ramen without nori and add corn. The corn and bok choy are good. The beef and some other ingredient that I can't put my finger on has a strange aftertaste and the egg is off too. Will not be ordering from here again. read more
