You go to Ace Hardware for more personal service, service you do not get at the big box stores. I have a plumbing problem and hoped I could resolve it, even if temporarily, before spending a couple hundred bucks on a plumber. Simple and reasonable, at least to me. I went in the store, showed the part to the guy at the counter, I folliwed him to the plumbing aisle, he did not have the replacement part and recommended a plumber. He said the part could not be repaired and did not want to sell me something that I could not use. He walked away to do something else. It took 5, maybe 6 minutes of his time. Ok, fine. I continued to look hoping for a temporary solution. I went to the counter and asked his opinion. 2 minutes of his time. He instantly became exasperated and impatient. He exhaled and grew increasingly irritated because I asked his opinion. He was rude, and clearly my presence in the store was annoying him. He provided a contact number for a plumber - of course I would never call his contact after my experience with him. I am so disappointed.

From the moment I walked in to the check-out, every employee was so kind and happy to help. Not only did they repair my ego lawnmower, but they got it done fast and effectively. And their immense selection of Yeti's and Benjamin Moore paints was refreshing in comparison to nearby competitive stores. Safe to say, If I ever need a repair, help with my at-home projects, or a simple mood-booster, I will not hesitate to run to this store. Horrible experience... Purchased 3 doors with installation…read morein April from Home Depot (RF Installations installer). Install company, RF Installations, damaged doors on 1st install attempt, left the site without arranging to reinstall, didn't contact me to reschedule. I had to get HD project expediter involved to reschedule. 2nd install attempt - install company cancelled the same day as install scheduled. 3rd install attempt, doors and trim were damaged and the work crew ran over a can of great stuff spray foam which exploded and covered my driveway and landscaping with spray foam. Crew tried to use water to clean it which, of course, didn't work. They left without talking to me about it. Cured spray foam is now bonded to my driveway and is a huge mess. I have been dealing with this project since April. The issues were expedited to the Home Depot Project Support Team where I was getting good support from their expediter. I emailed him this evening about the latest fiasco and found out the entire Project Support dept no longer exists. Home Depot says call the local office. I know how that will go. No one in charge, and no one willing to take responsibility for making the contractor fix their mess. If anyone at Home Depot is reading this and would like to discuss, please respond. Home Depot is my go-to supply store. But they ruin their reputation by having third rate, mediocre contractors do the work.
