Staff is always super helpful, friendly, and patient. This place is constantly saving my ass whenever working on cars doesn't go as planned. Please don't ever remove the nuts/bolts section in the back of the store because that thing has been a lifesaver on so many occasions. Appreciate yall! read more

I bought a box of garbage bags yesterday and never used it. When I came back to Ace to return it, they refused the return. Very disappointing experience. ALWAYS GO TO HOME DEPOT read more

Stoped to get propane filled. Horrible customer service a rude. 10.00 more then tractor supply but really didn't want to fill

I've shopped at this Ace Hardware location for over 10 years. I've never been treated so rudely and for no reason that I can tell. You go to Ace Hardware for more personal service, service you do not get at the big box stores. I have a plumbing problem and hoped I could resolve it, even if temporarily, before spending a couple hundred bucks on a plumber. Simple and reasonable, at least to me. I went in the store, showed the part to the guy at the counter, I folliwed him to the plumbing aisle, he did not have the replacement part and recommended a plumber. He said the part could not be repaired and did not want to sell me something that I could not use. He walked away to do something else. It took 5, maybe 6 minutes of his time. Ok, fine. I continued to look hoping for a temporary solution. I went to the counter and asked his opinion. 2 minutes of his time. He instantly became exasperated and impatient. He exhaled and grew increasingly irritated because I asked his opinion. He was rude, and clearly my presence in the store was annoying him. He provided a contact number for a plumber - of course I would never call his contact after my experience with him. I am so disappointed. read more

Fantastic Ace store. Helpful folks that can give advice on everything from chainsaws to smoking a brisket. I just wish they still serviced riding mowers. read more

Great service. Great selection of top notch brands. They stock things the big box store won't.

Absolutely love this store, staff and owner! As a female customer in a hardware store they always treat me with respect and explain things in a way that I can understand. Purchased a big green egg and had a flawless delivery! They helped me pick out a wifi accessory for Valentine's for my husband and even offer a military discount. Will continue to be a happy customer! They also have very cute home accessories and bird feeders read more

I stopped in to find a specific fluorescent lightbulb for an old lamp that my uncle had. I was having trouble finding one, and a younger gentleman can to assist. He looked up and down the aisle, checked a couple things online and couldn't find a bulb that fit the lamp. He then referred me to another gentleman at the front who also took the time to try to go online to find something that would meet the specifications. Apparently the lamp is now obsolete, and no bulbs are made for it, but it wasn't for lack of trying!! read more

I went in to buy some green egg charcoal on a Sunday because my normal place was closed. I found that the charcoal was much more expensive. I thought maybe it was inflation but after checking the marked up prices were isolated to the store and confirm higher just as I thought. Green Egg charcoal 20# was approximately 39.00 with tax for one. I generally buy it at The Mad Hatter for 29.95. The off brands were also higher at this store than where I normally shop. They didn't have the off brand, 20# Jealous Devil, which I usually purchase for 24.75 and really like it and it's resealable plastic zip lock style bag. I ended up settling for the Meat Head brand in a paper bag for a few dollars more. The product itself seems similar in burn. read more

Great they offer choices instead of enforcing unconstitutional mandates. Curious who flagged my previous 5Star review - Although we both know youre a typical government control worshipping coward who would rather hide online than have a debate on the topic face to face. This weekend a young worker in a Ford hat helped me out with finding just the right bolts for my truck. He even climbed under the truck to help. Just wanted to give some kudos. I don't know his name but maybe you can pass this along if you figure it out. Great service! read more

None of the staff wears a mask. When I asked why they said it was a personal choice. Their choice is not to care enough about their customers health to wear a mask. I will not be back read more

Took lawnmower in for repair and they charged $20 to basically say it wasn't worth fixing.

No mask! Too busy to help these days! Without service it's better to go to Home Depot where they have a full selection of everything and better prices. read more

Very helpful neighborhood hardware store. They might not have the depth of inventory that you see at the Home Depot or Lowes, but they have the breadth! I especially go there for specific sized fasteners. They have a much wider selection than any other local store I know of. read more

This is a great family owned business and everyone is super helpful. Typically they see me and ask if I need anything before I get a chance to ask them. They have a great selection of supplies and it takes half the time to find it! read more

My "go to" hardware store. I've gotten everything from gardening tools, to paint and stain, to electrical supplies at this store. Service ======== This place really shines with service. My wife, daughters and I have been in here about 20-30 times collectively and we've never had a bad customer service experience. This is the one hardware store I trust my wife and daughters will get taken care of in my absence. They are always helpful finding different things in their medium-sized hardware store. Checkout is always a breeze. Price ======= Price is about average among hardware stores. Probably not as high as some specialty hardware stores, but not as inexpensive as I've found on Amazon for some items. Selection ======= The store has just about everything I've needed in a pinch which is pretty amazing (since the store isn't anywhere near "super Walmart" sized. Sometimes, I won't think they'll have something, but a quick conversation with a store employee shows me how wrong I am. I think the only thing they didn't have were some specialty power tools I was looking for a while ago. Summary ======== Like I said, this is my "go to" hardware store. I defy you to have a better experience at a big box hardware store. Ace Hardware even has free popcorn! read more

We love coming here! Staff is knowledgeable about all they sell. Not quite the same breadth of selection as a big box store, but I am not coming here for a washer or refrigerator! Love that they support the community...the Boy Scouts in particular. read more

Words hurt and cause personal pain and friendships. I felt that personal pain and lost a friendships from a the owners that has been so kind to me. The respect that was shown to me as he pointed out to me on how many Levels how long it was of this. Even after what had been said by me and for him to say to me that he had thought about the illness in my family is who this great Community business is. This is my apology for that momentarily insane rant that is so far from any truth about this business. I let my prejudice speak out about employee that had a red cap that I thought read Let's Make American Great Again that really read Let Make Aviation Great Again. I never believed for one moment anything that I had said about this company or it's owners or I would not had gone back time and time again It was the clerk that I was talking about . Thank you for this morning I did not know the pain and hurt I caused until I saw your face ,heard your voice and felt your heart. I am so deeply sorry. read more

I will always support small businesses especially when it is owned and run by people like Richard and family. I've always been given the best customer service here and can find what I'm looking for. Their gift section has unique items as well. For those who are complaining about the store not requiring masks, wear yours and stay six feet away from others. YOU are responsible for your own health. OR take your whininess somewhere else. read more

I've been shopping at Ace since they opened this location and they are the perfect local hardware store. Always friendly, but more importantly knowledgeable and helpful whenever I'm looking for anything at the store. read more

The only people wearing masks in the store are the customers. When I asked the girl at the checkout she said they "offer a choice". Which is great for their employees since they are all young and probably won't die if they get Covid. I would think in an effort to make their customers feel safe they would go the extra mile, but this is probably some kind of political statement which is ridiculous. Done shopping here. read more

Today, I went to start up my Weber S320 Propane grill and heard propane leaking from the regulator. I went online, Google Search, looking for a replacement Propane Hose. Most of the brick and mortar stores like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Walmart didn't carry in stores. They had Ship to Store or Ship to Home ETAs from 2-7 days. I checked Ace Hardware since there was one about 3 miles away. The local store didn't show stock, but a check of nearby Ace stores, showed two Ace stores (Buford and Johns Creek, 13-15 miles away) had item in stock. I was surprised. I thought, "Maybe I should call the local Ace, to see if there was a slim chance that they had it in stock." It would save me the 14 mile drive to Johns Creek. I spent 10 mins on the phone trying to get them to eyeball if they had the item. Big waste of time. Afterwards, I called the Johns Creek Ace Store. The guy who answered went to look and found it in a minute. He put my name on it and would hold it. Wow. Very professional. Big difference from the other Ace store. I decided that drive down there to pick up the hose. When I walked in, I was impressed with the Grill section, which was at the front of the store on the right. They had a huge section of Grills and Grill accessories. They carried the Green Egg with many accessories for it. They also had so many Grill add ones to make grilling more interesting. A young redhead woman came over to ask if I needed assistance. She was very professional and knowledgeable of the grills and accessories. I ended up looking around the store more. This was the nicest looking Ace Hardware Store that I have ever seen. Everything was organized nicely. Displays looked really good. They had a lot of stuff. Merchandising was great. Not messy. I walked over to the Weber section. They had a lot of accessories. I even found a replacement igniter for my S320. I have been trying to find this igniter for three years. As I was checking out, I spoke to the Redhead again. I forgot to look at her name tag. I told her that this was the best looking Ace Hardware ever. I also told her that the store reminds me of a cross between a Hardware store and a General Store. I will be back. This store rocks. Great customer service and a go do selection of grill stuff. They also have a lot of other things that is nicely organized. read more

I shop regularly at this store. Not because it's less expensive or convenient but because the service is typically amazing. Had a bad experience with one of their employees Sunday afternoon. Just as you'd expect from a great business that cares about customer experiences, the owner contacted me right away and took corrective action. Amazing how this family thrives on building their business by satisfying one customer at a time. Look forward to shopping there for years to come. read more

Fantastic service. I brought in a chainsaw which would not start. They were able to diagnose and fix the issue. We go to Ace for tools, machinery, even paint. Friendly, local family run business. Highly recommended. read more

Very nice local hardware store, I have been visiting for years and quite pleased with the service and selection until I had to deal with thier small engine repair people. I have a pressure washer that wouldn't start, brought it to the store, waited a week to get it fixed and serviced and after picking it up it still wouldn't start. Not only that, it was leaking gas. I called the store and was told to bring it back. I wanted to make sure this is addressed immediately since I already made 2 trips to the store, but was told that it will be addressed once they finished what they have going on at the moment.... I insisted saying they have not done a good job to begin with to no avail. I ended up finding the leak by myself and fixing it... I called later and complained to the manager, again to no avail. His answer was the same... Do not service you equipment there! read more

This is one of those businesses that feels like an extension of home and family as soon as you walk in. It truly epitomizes excellence in sales and service that I strive to teach my employees in my business. Let me explain. When you walk in, you are immediately greeted with a friendly smile. The items sold are of exceptional quality. I am big on educating the consumer so they can make an educated decision regarding what they are purchasing. I was in the market for a Grill and had shopped around. The employees at Johns Creek Ace Hardware were very knowledgable on the various types of Grills in the market; they educated me; they took their time and answered all my questions with patience and understanding; and they genuinely cared regarding the service I was receiving. They were not pushy sales people. I ended purchasing a Weber grill and accessories. It was courteously delivered the next day as promised. Everything they told me about it is true and for the first time in a long time, I grilled a 6-minute Medium-Well Ribeye that tasted like it came out of a 5-star kitchen. I am very happy with the service and sale and I highly recommend Mark and his employees and John's Creek ACE Hardware! This is now my goto place for all my hardware needs and more! A special thank you to Ralph and his team. Thank you for giving me the Holy Cow Rub. It was great. You really made my experience at your store a memorable and pleasurable one. read more

Johns Creek Ace Hardware has exceeded my expectations. I don't write a lot of reviews, but a positive review for this store is definitely warranted. I purchased a high end model Traeger Grill from this location. The owner went over the product with me, made sure I was happy, and carefully ensured the grill was loaded into my vehicle. Outstanding customer service both before, during, and even after my purchase. Keep up the good work. I will continue to patronize this locally family owned establishment. read more

I recently purchased a Traeger Grill from an online source. In searching for some local sources for Traeger supplies, Traeger listed this location as a "Platinum Dealer". This location is about a 30 minute drive from our house and I wanted to see if it would be worth the drive. The short answer is "YES". We were greeted by Tori. She was very knowledgeable about the Traeger product line and was very informative about the many accessories available. While there, we also decided to wonder around the store to see some of the other items. This is truly a real hardware store. I found things for many of the projects I will be doing in the next few months. Everyone was very helpful in every section. This store is well worth the drive and I will now be a regular customer. Thanks for spending a little time with us today. read more

These guys are great! They really helped me out when I needed a programmable key. We ran into a problem with a dying battery which pushed them past their closing time. I saw them allow three separate customers who arrived late to go in and purchase their items. I had to come back in the morning because my battery died and Richard was there to meet me and take me to a local auto parts store to get a replacement. He was even willing to split the cost of my battery which was not any of his fault and I declined his generous offer. You can count on these guys to treat you well and I'd recommend them to everyone. read more

Kudos to Toby at JC Ace. He drove out to our house to resolve issue I had with my Traeger grill. Toby gave me a courtesy call to let me know his ETA. He is very knowledgeable about Traeger from the mechanics to cooking. He explained the problem and resolved it quickly, making sure grill was running correctly before he left. Toby also gave me suggestions to help me enjoy my cooking experiences on the Traeger. Thank you Toby for your expertise and help. read more

Good store overall, but this review is not about the store, it's about their reel mower repair knowledge. If you have a Fiskars reel mower, do not bring it here for blade sharpening. After sharpening, they set up the Fiskars like a common reel mower, which it isn't; i.e., they set it up for significant contact between the blade reel and the cutter blade, which the Fiskars does not require. When I tried to readjust the distance between blade reel and cutter blade, the bolt just spun in its socket (on both sides) -- the bolt was apparently stripped during repair. Had to buy a new Fiskars as a result. I would have appreciated being told that they did not have experience with or knowledge about sharpening/resetting a Fiskars reel mower. read more

Great service. They took me to the aisle, recommended a product for my needs. You don't get that at the big retailers.
