BUYERS BEWARE! Terrible customer service after their own employee damaged our car. We bought patio furniture here yesterday and were told to bring around our own vehicle for loading, delivery was never mentioned as an option. When the employee loaded the furniture, he shoved it in with zero care, gave no warning it wouldn't fit, and never offered padding or delivery. This tore our car's roof trim and left a visible hole (see photo). We called the moment we noticed and were told to come in the next day to "figure something out." Instead, we got the opposite of customer service. The owner was condescending, dismissive, and outright rude from the first minute. He told us the damage was OUR fault, flatly refused to discuss any way to make it right, and made snide, patronizing remarks questioning whether we even understood how insurance works, as if we were too dim to grasp our own claim. When we pointed out that no employee had ever mentioned delivery, he smugly said it "should have been obvious," as though we were supposed to read minds instead of being told. This wasn't an owner trying to find a fair solution and coming up short, this was someone who wasn't interested in a solution at all, and who used condescension as a strategy to make us feel too stupid or intimidated to push back. Zero acknowledgment. Zero apology. Zero attempt to de-escalate or even hear us out respectfully. Damage happens, I understand accidents. What's unacceptable is how a company treats you after their own staff causes that damage. If this is how the person running the business handles a legitimate problem, I'd think twice about trusting them with anything else. I would strongly advise shopping elsewhere. read more

Very disappointing experience at this store. Went to get a Benjamin Moore paint sample and was shocked to see their paint samples are $16.99. Went and got the same size Benjamin Moore paint sample at Ace Hardware and it was $6.99... $10 less! Very shocked and disappointed to see Urban Hardware charge so much more than market value for their Benjamin Moore paint samples. read more

Very poor customer service. Employee damaged vehicle after attempting to load furniture into car. Owner was disrespectful, blaming me after this was raised New furniture was scratched up as well. I recommend taking your business to Home Depot or Lowe's instead. read more

One big true value! It is almost like they combined a true value with a flea market. I mean there is everything in here! Yard decor, lawn furniture, tools, nuts and bolts, grills, lights, pots, etc etc. The place is huge! In some instances the place is cramped and over loaded yet in others it has a charming eclectic feel. But watch your prices... I went to buy a Dewalt hammer from here but looked it up on line first and found that it was quite a bit more expensive then buying through Amazon... it was really quite a bit more. I would have bought it right there if it had been only slightly more... but it was more then slightly. I didn't buy it here. It is an interesting location... give yourself some time to walk around.. there is a lot to see and with its somewhat eclectic set up... you need to just be sure to take your time and really look to see all that is there. read more

Amazing! Love this place. Anna and the manager were a super huge help in choosing two umbrellas for our back porch. I was working in a time crunch and they really stepped it up to help in a short period and answered all my questions and then some. Also a great selection of plants and gadgets and cute things to decorate your home and garden. It's like Home Goods and Ace Hardware had a local baby and I'm into it. read more

In previous shopping experiences, I had had a positive experience with UH. I knew the prices were maybe a little higher than some other places, but I like to support local business. Flash forward to today... I happen to find a fantastic deal on a plant. It won't fit in my car so I ask them to hold it and they accept. When I come back roughly 3 hours later, having already PAID for the plant, I am told that the price on the plant was a vendor error and that instead of the $14.99 listed on this and other identical plants, I should pay $149.00 but don't worry because they will give me 20% off. ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Look. I've worked retail. I've even worked small business retail. Don't tell me that you aren't a grocery store and that you can't stand behind the prices listed on your own merchandise. Ultimately I was met with shrugged shoulders and offered a $10 gift card. I would have had no issue with their strategy here except they asked me to pay for the plant before they would hold it for me, and then wouldn't let me leave with the merchandise and caused me a massive inconvenience. Not only am I immensely frustrated, but that's valuable time I don't get back because you won't stand by your word. Well UH, I hope you're really happy having saved $130 by not selling me that plant. More than a hardware store! It is somewhere we love to just explore...any nut/bolt/screw/nail, knife sharpening, amazing succulents (we bought a fun pig filled with plants), outdoor furniture, grills (we bought one), wind chimes (we bought one), bird supplies (bought a retro hummingbird feeder), plant pots (2)... Finally!! A hardware store with some hardware! Home Depot and Lowes have driven the small hardware stores out of business. Then HD and Lowes cut WAY back on hardware inventory so they basically stock nothing in terms of real hardware. They then wonder why people shop online to get what they need. SMH... UH has it all. Standard, metric, grade 5, grade 8, stainless steel, chrome, and on and on. Things haven't been this good in Alpharetta since Parsons Hardware closed. read more

Walked in and the wow factor kicked in. Upscale hardware store with a huge indoor home and garden center with all different types of plants, especially tropical, pottery you can't find anywhere else, green eggs, Weber and Traeger grills especially smokers. Also the fire pits are so awsome especially the Cowboy Cauldron which would be a hit with your friends and family in your backyard!! Patio furniture is top of the line and would make poolside at the house into an outdoor living room. Great staff that is attentive if you need assistance with questions on any merchandise. Very competitive with the tools and hardware and I saw they have a workshop for cutting metals, sharpening blades of any kind, pipe threading,glass cutting and also key making! And they sale Benjamin Moore paint which is top of the line, and huge selection of accessories for your painting needs. Even have car and truck accessories and pet products for your furry friends of all things! To me it's a candy store for homeowners!!!! Have plenty of other departments that will fulfill your needs at your home. Gotta check this place out. Nothing like it!! Urban Hardware has a much broader upscale selection of patio furniture, BBQs and accessories and outdoor decor than any of the big box stores. They are always very helpful and the store is neat and well organized. Prices may be a little higher but well worth it for keeping it local! read more

Just a so-so store for a Home Depot wanna-be, but it's not even close. They do have a great stock of nuts, bolts, screws, and odd hardware stock. However.....if you want to build something, they don't sell any materials. You can buy saws, drills, hammers, and other tools at inflated prices, but you have to go to Home Depot for everything else. The only thing I've purchased there in three visits was a small amount of nuts and bolt type of hardware and their selection of that stuff is GREAT but that's about it. I don't understand their business model or their target market. UH on Haynes Bridge (it's the only one) is very close to at least two Home Depot's and maybe a couple of Lowe's. Prices are higher on average than HD for everything. Store is always empty and so is the the parking lot. When I first visited this store I predicted they'd be out of business within a year. I'm very surprised they're still open. read more
